When I try to start setting up the website the page is continuously stuck at "Loading Wix HTML5 Editor".
I have left the page running even overnight without any success.

I am having problems when I want to add image when using the html editor. (let it be an image/image without frame/clipart). Once I click any of these to upload my image, i will get stuck at the loading page forever! :( I tried it at my home and office with different router but still experiencing the same problem. I tried clearing the cache and also disabled all my pop-up blocker. Is there any other way to this?

Thank you for contacting Wix support!

In most cases, upload issues are related to a local misconfiguration of certain settings on your computer, or to your internet connection.

Please follow these steps in order to troubleshoot the issue you're experiencing:

      1. Try uploading other images. Is this issue isolated to specific images? If so, please email us the problematic images.
      2. Make sure the file name does not contain any special characters.
      3. Clear your browser's cache of "Everything".
      4. Log out of your Wix account, restart your browser and then log into your Wix account and try again.
      5. Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and either IE or Safari (depending on whether you use a PC or a MAC).
      6. If you connect to the internet through a router, please try connecting directly through the modem.
      7. Try temporarily disabling your internet security programs and try again (i.e. antivirus, firewall, etc.). It is preferable to try this while still connected to the modem directly. This is meant to assist us in determining the source of the problem that you're facing.
      8. Try connecting to Wix from a different computer that uses a different internet connection.

Finally, if you are still having issues, please contact us. Let us know exactly which steps you tried and what worked or didn't work. Please also include the following information:

      1. What Operating System you're using (i.e. Mac OSX, Windows XP, etc.) - and what version it is.
      2. What browsers you've tried - and include the version of the browser (can generally be found by going to Help > About within the browser).
      3. What version of Flash you have installed on your computer- you can find this at whatismyflash.com
      4. Your Wix username and the name of the site(s) with the issue.
      5. If you receive an error message, please attach the error message that you receive.
      6. Your geographic location and which ISP you use.
      7. Which internet security programs you have installed on your computer (antivirus, firewall, etc.).

Your Wix HTML5 website is built using HTML5 and AJAX technology. This has many benefits, such as animations on your page transitions, the ability to have your background, header and footer stay static while only the content changes, the ability to use all of the new HTML features as they are released, dynamic page sizing, optimization for mobile devices, etc.

To support using this technology, the URL's of your website need to be built in the following manner:

      1. This is your domain name
      2. #! - This is called a 'hashbang'. The # signifies a 'hash fragment' and is the convention being used today to link to content when using AJAX technology (similar to anchors in HTML). The ! specifies the escaped fragment, which is what allows search engines to understand where the content in your site is actually located – this is because the content you're seeing on your site is being rendered via AJAX technology which means that your page isn't 'reloading' – i.e., when you switch pages, your header, background and footer all stay in place. The content actually does exist on the server- but at another address. In order for the search engines to find this address, the ! is used as the 'escaped fragment', which tells the search engines where to find your content (as they cannot really crawl javascript properly).
You can learn more about AJAX technology  here.
      3. This is the name of the page you're on. After this, the symbol / is what we use as part of the mechanism described in point #2. This is where we specify the actual address of the page on the server
      4. This is the Page ID which is the actual address of the page on the server, and cannot currently be changed. This is necessary because it tells the browser (and search engines) where to fetch the content from.

Important Note: In order to share links to your site you must use the full link above (1-4) including the Page ID. Removing the Page ID will yield an invalid link.

For more information, visit our Learning Center page here.

Tip: Please note that if you feel that the URL is too long, you can use the Google URL shortener. Simply add your long URL- including the page #! and the page name, click "Shorten URL" and you will see on the right side the Google URL you can also use. It will look like this: http://goo.gl/ShONge .

We are here should you require further assistance.

      Many thanks, Barrios

i was wondering if you site supports a drag and drop system which i can just simpely drag my own programed html file into the editor/something else. this is because i want to program everything myself.

this includes files like : .html .css .mp3 .mp4

(this is also why i didn't make any websites yet)

Are you referring to a new template?

I have noticed that your account contains no saved sites.

If this is the issue, please clear your browser's cache:

While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

Please note that clearing your browser's cache will not resolve all issues.

We also recommend you to try and use different browsers and see if there is any difference.

Wix supports all major browsers (including IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari), and all of those browsers support the ability to export favorites and bookmarks to the newly installed browser.

To download the latest Google Chrome browser please click here
To download the latest Firefox browser please click here
To download the latest Safari browser please click here

To use Google Web Fonts, you will need to insert the code Google provides with each font before the text you want to write.

To integrate HTML code in your Wix site please use the HTML APP.

With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

For more information check out the tutorial below, or you can click here.

*Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App via the link above before using this.

Thank you for contacting Wix support! Since you are creating a new site your site's SEO will be affected. This does not mean that it'll be ranked lower. However, you should optimize your site so that it'll be ranked high

SEO stands for “search engine optimization”. Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the visibility of your website in search results. In other words, SEO is the technique of making the content of your website more legible and attractive to search engines, so that they can both find and rank your site higher than the millions of other sites in response to a search query.

Good SEO results in a high page rank in search results for your name, business, or keywords connected to services you offer. However, please remember that keywords are a competitive market and SEO requires a long-term outlook and commitment. Top companies spend thousands of dollars to ensure that their site appears at the top of search engine result pages with specific keywords.

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines. However, we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to rank your website highly-- this part is up to you. One thing you can do to immediately improve your SEO is to connect your own domain name to your Wix site. You can do this via upgrading to a premium package. Learn more about upgrading your website here.

Please take a moment to read more on our Getting Started: SEO page here.

Feel free to contact us if you require any further assistance.
