Your sit4e-building is phenomenal. Puts blogspot to shame. I hit a snag, thuogh. I want to highlight links as a hyperlink, obviously, so people can click to go directly to that site. I clicked the help button, which says to highlight the URL, then click the Link button that is supposed to pop up on the bar above, but nothing pops up. Right-clicking to select as a hyperlink, doesn't appear. Can you help?

      Gorgeous website!

I checked the hyperlinks on your site and they work perfectly. You can check them by going to the site Preview mode.

In case I misunderstood you, please elaborate.

I am not sure it happened with all templates or not, because I only used 1 or 2 template.

Yes, I saved this issue, " clear cookie", that all.

      Thank you.

There is currently no way to switch between templates, you can however simply start a new site with a new template, For more information about building your website from a template, click here.

We can't promise you'll be able to recreate your old site exactly, but our editor allows a lot of freedom in design and structure. I recommend you give it a try start with a blank template, and if you run into any specific difficulty in the process, let us know and we'll be happy to guide you.

What I'm most interested in achieving is a vertically stacked navigation. Can I do that using your blank template?

      Replied by dan4228 February 19, 2014

Sorry, but currently it isn't possible to add a vertical menu.

What you can do instead, is to add buttons, place them vertically and link them to the pages.
If vertical menu is a must for the site, this workaround can be a good solution!

You can vote for this feature in this thread.

With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

For more information check out the tutorial below, or you can click here.

*Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App via the link above before using this.

Keep in mind that by adding external HTML code you are adding products and code that we have not tested or created in Wix, therefore our support team cannot answer any questions concerning the HTML iFrame/Embed App.

We recommend testing your code externally.

You can do this using sites such as the following:

The Wix App Market is available from within the Wix Editor. In the Wix App Market, you will find a variety of apps that you can add to your site that were created by third-party companies and individuals.

The Wix App Market is split up into several categories; an app may appear in more than one category. Clicking on an app will open a pop-up with more information about the app which may include an overview, a live demo and an overview of the app's features as well as information about the Premium version of the app, if one exists. These apps add new features, options and functionality to your Wix site! You can easily add these third-party apps to your site.

Click on the image below to browse through all of the apps in the Wix Apps Market:

Yes, it looks like that was the issue - "No Text" was chosen in the text display box within the template and so it was locking out the possibility of adding text on the image level.  Making changes to the templates are a good way to learn your software capabilities.  Thank you for taking the time to find out what I really needed and helping me to be able to accomplish it.  I am looking forward to building my site and using your software to do so.

I will try to be clearer:  I went back in and changed the title for each image in the gallery.  I did perform the changes exactly as you detailed.  Each picture now has a different title and description (you can see that if you go in and look, but it is not showing up on the images)- I saved the changes, previewed my site to test the changes, but each picture (there are 14) within the gallery all have the same title and description as picture #1.  When I go back into the editing mode and look at the title and description choosing each image separately, it still has the new title and descriptions that I have entered.  They are not showing up for their corresponding image.  I believe this is not a user error at this point - I believe the program is not carrying each title and description that I have entered into that corresponding image (ok if "on top" of the picture - I will adjust the text where I want it to go- I just want each corresponding title I wrote to go with its corresponding image).  Does this make better sense??  I used to be a programmer myself and although I am new to your software, I hope I have detailed the issue in a more understandable way so you can troubleshoot it.  Thank you for your patience.

      Please follow these steps:

      1. Remove the text boxes from your gallery.

      2. Double click the gallery.

      3. Choose Title and Description from the Text Display options:

      4. Preview your site and see the title and description of each image.

Please tell us how you managed and whether you need further assistance.

I have created a test directly from the StreetLife Template with only the Title and Paragraph text.  I have added the Title and changed the existing paragraph template text partly to white font.  I have only added the title/paragraph to the first picture, but it appears in the rest of the pictures as they are being scrolled through.  Please see my print screen.  I have named the test site: TestTitleText.

I believe I should only see the title/paragraph text on the first picture only and have the option to add unique captions on subsequent pictures instead of having it follow through.  Thank you.

I noticed that the text you are referring to is a text box you have placed over the gallery, and that is why it is appearing on top of all the pictures.

If you wish to edit the title and description of your images, please click the gallery >> Settings >> Organize images.

In addition to my previous question - so you have an example of what I am trying to do:

On the "Street Life" template (photography) I have tested several times adding a text to one photo and it comes up on each of the photos as I scroll through (within the subpage).  The box is not ticked to show text on every page.  I want to add text to each photo that is unique to that photo.

I also tested other templates that have photos labeled as "slideshow" and I can add the text to those without having it scroll to the next photo.  I like the "Street Life" template and wonder if I can use this one to label unique text captions on each photo?    Thank you.
