      Hi,

Please note that it can take anywhere from 1 – 3 months for your site to be crawled and indexed in order to appear in search engines such as Google or Yahoo. This waiting period is the same for all websites, not just those created using Wix.

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time this happened i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word cache: before it in the Google search. For example: cache:www.mydomain.com If your website comes up, this means Google has already indexed it.

Remember, if your website has not been crawled and it has been less than 3 months since publishing, don’t worry – give it a little time and try again. Alternatively, you can help speed up this process by submitting your website to search engines directly. Please click here for information about how to submit your site to search engines (scroll down to #2).

We have a lot of SEO information available for you to read here and yet more suggested reading within our blog here. We also suggest you try using the Wix SEO Monitoring Tool.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

      Kind regards,

      Niv, Wix Support

      Hi,

DNS changes take about 72 hours to completely propagate across different servers in the world. What this means in simply words is that the internet doesn't know your domain points to your Wix site yet, and it should update in about 24 hours - please try again then and if the issue persists, let us know.

      Hi!

I can see that you have properly assigned your domain to your Premium site, however, the pointing configuration with your registrar isn't updated with the Wix name servers.

In order to complete the domain connection process, please ask your hosting company (Godaddy) to point your domain to the Wix server using the following cnames:

      ns1.wix.com

      ns2.wix.com

Note that once they have made the changes, the domain can take 72 hours to fully propagate.

Let us know if you require any further assistance!

      Hello,

What is the site URL? Do you mean that the site itself will not load, or that it does not appear in search engines (such as Google)?

      Sincerely, Leah Wix Team

Hi, I've purchased the premium package and also the domain, I've also pointed it to my domain: www.the-urbanworkout.com. It worked the day before, as in we can visit the site already, however from yesterday onwards google couldn't locate it anymore :( please advise, urgent

    Thanks

      Hey Shian,

I have just visited your site and was able to view it live properly. I have also verified that your domain the-urbanworkout.com is properly connected to Wix. Have a look at the screenshot below taken from your live site:

The reason you are seeing this inconsistency is because you have just recently connected your domain to your Wix site and the propagation (connection) process may take up to 72 hours. In this time you may be able to visit your domain at some point and in a different time it will show as if it is not connected. This inconsistent behavior is expected to stop after 72 hours have passed.

If 72 hours have passed and the issue persists, please clear your browser's cache and check again. You can find step by step instructions here.

As for your site's appearance on search engines, please be aware that it can take anywhere from 1 – 3 months for your site to be crawled and indexed in order to appear in search engines such as Google or Yahoo. This waiting period is the same for all websites, not just those created using Wix.

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time this happened i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word cache: before it in the Google search. Alternatively, you can help speed up this process by submitting your website to search engines directly. Use the following links to submit your site to:

      Google

      Bing

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to assign your website a high rank, this part is up to you.

Make sure that your websites content has been optimized in accordance with the advice offered in our SEO Learning Center. We also recommend that you use the SEO Wizard & Monitoring tool for a more in depth analysis of your site’s SEO.

      Hey i10560,

Please note that your domain is going through a process called domain propagation. Domain propagation is the process of your registrar handing off the changes of your domain to root DNS servers, ISPs acquire records from the root servers, ISPs to other ISPs and so on until you see the changes reflect on your computer with your internet service provider.

Please note that for all of the changes to take effect can take up to 72 hours from the moment you received the email form your domain hosting company.

If you aren't able to view your site after 72 hours, please let us know!

      Thank you,

      Eyal, Wix Customer Support Team

I was editing my blog post and I have not published my page yet, however when I pressed save it said the post was saved and published?! Does this mean it has gone live without my blog page being finished?? Also when trying to edit the keywords on the edit page I don't seem to be able to take off the default key words which I would like to do as they are not relevant to my blog, please can you help?

If possible please provide us a screenshot of the problem that will really help us understand your issue better.

Hi Dean, Ok thanks! I had a mini heart attack when it said saved and published. The words I have not been able to delete are the blue highlighted ones on the rhs of the screen I just tried to do a screen shot and also to add as an attachment to this email but didn't work. I'm working on my tech saviness...

When I click on the text to add or edit the blog text it comes up in a box and I am editing the text in there. I've put it as a draft and also as a feature. I hope this helps

      Many thanks

      Hey :)

I was trying to look for the words you were referring to but still could not detect them.

Are those the keywords in your page description settings? I can see the fields are empty there.

Or is it the text in the blog's posts editing box you can't delete?

For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

I know this might be frustrating but we will solve it together soon I promise!

      Awaiting your reply!

      Hi Dean,

I don't have microsoft paint so have done a screen shot using word. The words to the right hand side that show up blue underneath the keyword box is the text that I was referring to that I have been having trouble deleting and adding my own key words.

Let me know if you have any problems opening the document doc1.docx

I wanted to be able to delete those words and add my own keywords please

      Many thanks

      Hey Joy!

Thank you for your patience regarding this matter, now I can see the issue you are referring to.

These tags are simply suggested tags that you already have across your site and other blog posts, if you press them you could see that they are added to the text box above them, only key words that will appear in that box will be relevant to your blog post SEO.

I hope this explains it and reassures you.

Please don't hesitate to contact us should you require further assistance with this matter.

I have created a Wix web site called the-criterion-club.  I have published the site and can display it on my personal computer but cannot find it on Google by searching the http address that is displayed in the popup box when I publish it. I want to make it available on the web where others can search for it on Google or locate it by its address:  http://donquig48.wix.com/the-criterion-club.
