Please be aware that it can take anywhere from 1 – 3 months for your site to be crawled and indexed in order to appear in search engines such as Google or Yahoo. This waiting period is the same for all websites, not just those created using Wix.

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time this happened i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word cache: before it in the Google search. For example: cache:www.mydomain.com If your website comes up, this means Google has already indexed it.

Remember, if your website has not been crawled and it has been less than 3 months since publishing, don’t worry – give it a little time and try again.

Alternatively, you can help speed up this process by submitting your website to search engines directly. Use the following links to submit your site to:

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to assign your website a high rank, this part is up to you.

Make sure that your websites content has been optimized in accordance with the advice offered in our SEO Learning Center. We also recommend that you use the SEO Wizard & Monitoring tool for a more in depth analysis of your site’s SEO.

I only see a white/blank page when I click the site address. Do I need to change it? If I need to change it, how do I do that? I can not find my page in searches either.

      Hi blueskyasn52,

Welcome to Wix! I see that you have already started building your site and it's looking good so far. If you'd like to choose a new template and start over, you are welcome to browse through our templates here.

Check out the "Cars & Transportation" section and perhaps you'll find a suitable template, otherwise, you can choose any template and edit it however you choose.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

I purchased a domain name through wix (www.taylorokey.com), and then published the site with the domain name. I then went back, made a few quick changes to the site, and republished the site to make sure the changes would appear. Now, wix is publishing my site as a "free user." I try to go back to connect it to the domain name I purchased but now wix is saying my domain is no longer available (most likely because I already purchased it).

Thanks for any help you can give

I have managed to publish your site under the domain http://www.taylorokey.com/.

The domain is connected to your account correctly.

Your site appears to be a premium site as there are no Wix adds.

Please let us know if this issue persists.

I was worried when I did not see my site the second I published it, so I hit the publish button another time or 2. I then realized about the 72 hour notice. If I re-published over the website under construction, can this make my 72 hour process even longer, or mess anything up?

    Website: fowlhookedsportfishing.com

I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain.

      Hi fowlhookedsportfis,

Publishing your website and connecting your domain which (after it is connected through your host) can take up to 72 hours to propagate, are two different processes. Your website is published, however your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect. To fix this, please follow the instructions here.
