      Hey heathermains

I've just visited your site and could not recreate the issue you are experiencing.

If you are still unable to navigate to other pages:

While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

Please note that clearing your browser's cache will not resolve all issues.

We also recommend you to try and use different browsers and see if there is any difference.

Wix supports all major browsers (including IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari), and all of those browsers support the ability to export favorites and bookmarks to the newly installed browser.

To download the latest Google Chrome browser please click here
To download the latest Firefox browser please click here
To download the latest Safari browser please click here
To download the latest Internet Explorer browser please click here

My wix website is hosted at godaddy.

When I edit the website and hit "publish" the popup box says that it has been published at the wix.com website address. How do I edit a seperately hosted website?

      Hey gatehouse68

To be clear- your site is hosted by Wix.   Your domain is hosted by Godaddy.

When you save and then click publish simply go to your domain name, refresh and you will see that the new editor version is showing up on the live site.

      Eileen, Wix Team.

      Hi rodemadley,

You will need to access the editor of your site, however please note that you are logged in to the wrong account. Please try logging in using edbradley@hotmail.com

If you forgot your password, please use the 'forgot password' option in the Login button:

      1. Go to Wix.com.
      2. Click Login/Sign Up.
      3. From the Login screen, under Password, click Forgot password.
      4. From the Forgot Your Password? screen, in the Email: field, type the email that you use to login to Wix.
      5. Click GO.
An email will be sent to you with instructions and a link to update your password.
If you use Firefox or Chrome, and you allowed your browser to save your passwords, you can try to retrieve your login details:
For Firefox, go to Options --> Security --> Saved Passwords.
For Chrome, go to Options --> Personal Stuff --> Manage Saved Passwords.

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

      Thank you,

    Hello folks,

How can i download my site or is there any view source editor in wix site ?

    • dinamiso Wix Team

Replied by dinamiso June 29, 2014

It is not possible to download a Wix site or any of its pages as the Editor needs to be in constant connection with our servers. As such. it is not possible to work offline or save site pages to your computer.
You can use the "print screen" option to save your site pages to your computer, if necessary.

Note: Wix does not support the exporting of files created using Wix to an external destination or host. All Wix creations are hosted on Wix's servers. The advantages of using Wix as your host include improvements to your site's loading time, search engine optimization and more.

We are using Ajax Crawling as a way for the search engines to read your websites code. With Ajax Crawling, your content, data and design are merged together and extracted far easier and quicker by search engines.

Using Ajax Crawling however means that accessing your source code is a little different.
If you access the source code the usual way (right clicking and view source), you will not see your websites content but rather a code, <meta name="fragment" content="!">, to tell search engines that we are using Ajax Crawling.

If you wish to view your website source code, use the below examples of where to place '?_escaped_fragment_=' within your domain name in order to access the escaped fragment version of your website. Once you are viewing the escaped fragment version of your website, you may right click and select 'View Source Code' in order to access your websites source code.

      Example site - www.wixexample.com
      1. Home Page - place ?_escaped_fragment_= at the end of your URL

      Example site - www.wixexample.com#!AboutUs/c2414
      2. Individual pages - ?_escaped_fragment_= in place of the #!

We can assure you that your individual pages are seen by Google.

For more information about Ajax Crawling click here.

In order to edit the site after publishing, you will need to open the editor .

You can now use the Editor freely. You may customize any chosen item by clicking on it and manipulating it with options from the property panel on the right side of the editor.

I have mae my site live but I am not quite ready to launch my business, is there anyway to unpublish it for now?

    • Or Wix Team

Replied by Or June 28, 2014

Yes! If you want to unpublish your site, you can choose to hide it from search engines.

To hide your site from search engines: From the left side of the Editor, click Settings > click SEO (Google) > click the toggle Allow search engines to find my site to turn this option off (change from green to red) > click Done.

Once you have clicked the toggle be sure to hit Save inside your Editor!

Is the website down when I'am editing??

    • Eyal Wix Team

Replied by Eyal June 18, 2014

      Hey pranav11096,

Please note that while you edit your site, your site is still online. However, for the changes that you've made in the editor to go live, you will need to publish your site again.

To publish your site: From the top of the Editor, click Publish > review your SEO and Mobile View options > click Publish.

After a few seconds, the confirmation box will appear > click OK.

Note: Saving changes will not make them appear live. Every time that you save your site, you will need to click Publish to make the saved changes appear live.

To learn more about Saving and Publishing, click here.

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

      Thank you,
