The way people consume the internet constantly evolves and Wix continues to provide you with a wide variety of solutions for creating your web presence.
With the new HTML editor we give you the choice between technologies as well as designs. Deciding between the two platforms depends on your specific needs: HTML5 provides new technological capabilities and solutions for mobile devices that don’t support Flash, while Flash remains a strong visual platform with a lot of important capabilities but most of them are already also available in the HTML5 editor- adding animations for example.

This is very frustrating.  Now people can't see my page - they get the message that says to update their Flash Player and that doesn't work on the phones.  How do I change my page to the one that everyone can see?  My page is WAY too elaborate to recreate.  I need an easier conversion.  I pay for the shopping cart features and my page has too many elements. HELP!

Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads and iPods do not support Flash elements. On the other hand, Mac computers do support Flash. If you are looking for your website to be able to be viewed on various devices including mobiles, we highly recommend that you will consider recreating your website with our HTML Editor.

With Wix HTML Editor, you can create a regular desktop site, which will be displayed when your visitors access to your site with computers, as well as mobile site, which will be displayed on mobile devices, on the same screen. All you need to do is create your desktop site, and click on "Display Optimized Mobile View"!

I understand that you have many features created in your Flash site and recreating another site from the scratch seems to be too much trouble. However, please note that if you do have your HTML site ready, then you will have more customers visiting your site with their various devices. HTML Editor is also eCommerce ready, so you can add all the necessary elements such as "Product Gallery" and "Add to Cart". This way, you can turn your site visitors into your online store customers.

Please click HERE to see our HTML templates and pick one of your choice and start creating your stunning HTML website.

Should you require further assistance, please feel free to contact us anytime.
      Thank you.

No one can read this website with Flash on a mobile device! WTF! Who cares if Flash is so "great"! What good is the website if people can't read it on their own device! www.dynof.con

      Hey,

Apple devices (iPod, iPads and iPhones) do not support Flash, however Mac computers do.

Check out our solution for this issue here.

Please note that we have released our HTML5 Editor. Sites that are created with this Editor can be viewed also on Apple products and mobile devices. Check it out!

Specifically, what are the HTML5 new technological capabilities that flash does not have, barring the ability to be viewed on mobile devices?

      HTML5 is faster than Flash.

When using an HTML site we also offer a 3rd party app store where you are able to download apps to enhance your site more.

      Drag and Drop technology.

      Gridlines.

      More design options.

Please don't hesitate to contact us again. Nat

I always prefer HTML 5! You always risk someone not having flash installed, and it tends to be slower. Not saying there aren't any great flash sites!

You are embedding your websites, this is something we do not support and is against our terms of use. It also denied you of any SEO value in promoting your website through search engines.
