I am also having issues uploading .jpg files.

I have even used the same files I already have uploaded previously, they don't work either. Tried all trhe suggested options, still not working and getting a '10413 upload error' message.

This is my business, so can you please fix this issue, otherwise I may have to look elsewhere...

In most cases, upload issues are related to a local misconfiguration of certain settings on your computer, or to your internet connection.

Please follow these steps in order to troubleshoot the issue you're experiencing:

      1. Try uploading other images. Is this issue isolated to specific images? If so, please email us the problematic images.
      2. Make sure the file name does not contain any special characters.
      3. Clear your browser's cache of "Everything".
      4. Log out of your Wix account, restart your browser and then log into your Wix account and try again.
      5. Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and either IE or Safari (depending on whether you use a PC or a MAC).
      6. If you connect to the internet through a router, please try connecting directly through the modem.
      7. Try temporarily disabling your internet security programs and try again (i.e. antivirus, firewall, etc.). It is preferable to try this while still connected to the modem directly. This is meant to assist us in determining the source of the problem that you're facing.
      8. Try connecting to Wix from a different computer that uses a different internet connection.

Finally, if you are still having issues, please contact us. Let us know exactly which steps you tried and what worked or didn't work. Please also include the following information:

      1. What Operating System you're using (i.e. Mac OSX, Windows XP, etc.) - and what version it is.
      2. What browsers you've tried - and include the version of the browser (can generally be found by going to Help > About within the browser).
      3. What version of Flash you have installed on your computer- you can find this at whatismyflash.com
      4. Your Wix username and the name of the site(s) with the issue.
      5. If you receive an error message, please attach the error message that you receive.
      6. Your geographic location and which ISP you use.
      7. Which internet security programs you have installed on your computer (antivirus, firewall, etc.).

      Hi Noa

I can read, as my initial comment states 'tried all the suggested options'...

A standard response and waiting 4 days for a telephone call from Wix is not very good customer service.

I have even tried loading images that have previously loaded and they will not even load. This has happened before, Wix have an issue that needs fixing, not your paying customers and please don't send me another standard reply that you copy and paste...

I will wait with excitement for my call next week.

Perhaps finding a decent website builder is impossible, I may take my Wix and Zenfolio sites to Squarespace or Weebly?

We understand you have tried these steps, however, in order to try and assist - we will need you to provide us with the answers to all the steps you have tried and the questions in the previous message.

In this case it seems to be a local issue on your end, other users are not experiencing this at the moment, and for this reason the answer to these questions is so important.

Please also upload one of the images you are trying to upload, so we'll be able to try uploading them on our end.

To upload simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

Hi I've already posted a message on this thread regarding the same issue trying all the techniques and problems solving the wix team has suggested, but nothing is working. I decided to try to upload a screen print of a 1.2MG Jpeg pic to this thread and I am unable to do that as well. My error code is 10314 file not supported by media. Can someone from the Wix team please respond. I really need my website to start working correctly again.

    Thank you so much

Please note that I was able to upload an image to your Editor flawlessly. Please provide us with the image you have tried to upload as Or mentioned above (and not the screenshot of the error).

Thanks and I await your reply.

A passing observation... 232 pages of people suffering similar if not identical problems.  How much longer do we have to wait and how many more times are we going to be suspected of incorrect proceedures before you finally wake up and realise this is Wix's problem but it's the users who are made to suffer, waiting for the technical team to swing into action.  Sorry but I find this unacceptible!

      Hi Gat,

I like countless others on this page have tried ALL the recommendations that have been posted time and time again by Wix staff about this subject and they just don't work.

You ask "what exactly happens when you try to upload an image to your site?," and all I can say is exactly what I said before and that is after clicking upload, a line of text appears saying "Upload Failed" and when I rested my pointer on that message it said "Error code: -10413.  Uploaded file is of unsupported type for the media" which should not happen to standard jpegs of kilobytes in size.

When posting these reports on the forum, I have found it impossible to send a screen save of the problem as uploading photos in the fails here too!

With regards to sending you my images for testing, there's little need as the files that are failing to upload are identical or very similar to those saved in my Wix folder (I like others have tried uploading files already in the folder but they fail too).

Wix has a major problem and Wix users are starting to get frustrated and the ultimate action will be a mass exodus to another website builder unless you sort it soon.  This is not a threat but action that is only to be expected when people can't edit or add photo material to their sites.

I am in the lucky position of not needing my site for business purposes but other people are not so lucky and they could lose money.  Money which they might try to recover from you through lost business.

I sincerely hope this can be resolved quickly and amicably and that the sad matter can be put to rest.

      Hi eplsquads,

We are seeing that you are using a mobile 3G connection to contact us.

If you are using the same type of mobile 3G connection to edit your site and upload images, then please note that this isn't supported.

Please try a standard ISP connection over a landline and let us know if your issue persists.

      Dear Benjamin,

My recent message might have been replied using a tablet as I wasn't at my computer desk.  But the internet connection is the same, namely via wireless connection to a router using the Sky ISP - along with a BT telephone line.

And for the record, the problem STILL persists even after following the step-by-step instructions supplied by Noa (30 May 2014) and several other Wix agents.

       Yours frustratedly,

       Martin (eplsquads)

I have reported my problem under the category Error Codes but found this to be a bigger problem than I first thought.  I too cannot upload ANY picture file despite them being standard jpeg files kilobites in size so well under the 15mb stipulated max size.

In addition, none of them have symbols except the underscore to separate words in their saved file names.  This should not be the cause as 17 files already in my folder already contain underscores in their file names.

I've tried refreshing my browser, clearing my cache, rebooting my PC, rebooting my router, temporarily disarming my anti-virus and firewall, everything except changing my browser to Chrome or Firefox (which I refuse to do as I tried Chrome once and experienced many bugs causing performance to be erratic and spyware).

None of these actions helped and with each picture file that failed to upload I received the message "Upload Failed" and when I rested my pointer on that message it said "Error code: -10413.  Uploaded file is of unsupported type for the media" which is bull as they are standard jpegs of less than regulation size.

I hope Wix will finally address these issues which now appear to be a universal site problem.  If they don't get sorted soon then it could lead to a mass exodus to a site builder that works.

      Hope you can help,

      Martin (eplsquads.wix.com/epls)

      Hi Iram,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

It is possible that there is an extension or add-on on your browser that are preventing from this window to open.

Please disable all extensions or try using incognito\private mode on your browser.

You can also try using a different browser and let us know if this issue persists.

Whenever I upload a picture, which is png, w/ RGB colour, size fixed as recommended, file under 15MB, it says that my file is corrupted. I wonder what does it mean... It seems that many others are having this kind of a problem. Please let me know...
