      Hi,

      Thank you for reaching out,

Going over the results and reviewing your site I can see that over all your site's performance is great.

The results indicate that the images on your site are not optimized for the web.

Please take down the images you placed on your site and convert them to a .jpeg format, this will compress the size of your images by more than half and will allow your site to load faster.

You can find more information on converting images to a .jpeg format here.

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

All the best, Dean - Wix Team

My site takes over a minute to load and i gave up when trying to load the manage my site. So anyone wishing to view the site will turn off. It was never like this EVER. I have tried logging on from several computers and different wi-fi routers. Therefore this must be something your end. When i last posted complaint all i get now is everyone else's complaints on my email? OK what i need is a contact number to speak to a human as this over a minute load time is totally unacceptable. I know you say it works fine for you??, like i said tried and tested on many routers and computers.

All sites are loading properly. This wix is beginning to be crap!!!

Why? Because, I'm paying you guys monthly and I keep having issues.

Meaning, if this is pay by service, well, my site is inoperable. People's payments should be refunded or prorated based on the time that their sites are down!

Wix, you really have to do better than this

My site www.bilum-bag.com is loading extremely slowly (when loading at all). The same is true with the editor. The rest of Wix pages are loading a bit faster, and the rest of the internet is loading fast.

I am located in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Could it be that a link to the hosting location is broken? Where is my website hosted?

    Thanks for your help!
    Best regards

      Hi,

I couldn't recreate the slowness on the site or on the editor. Your domain is hosted with Network solution and your ISP is DIGICEL.

In order to see any bottlenecks you may perform a traceroute test. You can take a screenshot of the results and send it to us for further investigation.

You can find step by step instructions here .

      Best, Ritti

This page on my site is still loading very slowly -- despite the fact that I've removed all of the JPEGs.  Here is a link to our test results. Please advise at your earliest opportunity!

My webpage seems to not let me edit it, nor will it load at all for anyone.  I've had the page for over a year now, and have never had an issue with viewing or editing.  So I'm not sure if this is a temporary glitch or what.  But it's definitely something that I need to fix.  Ideas or suggestions?

      Hello,

Your site received a score of 'F' for progressive .jpegs.

To rectify this, you will need to save your images in progressive .jpeg format. If you are using Gimp to improve your image quality, you will be able to make these changes in the Advanced Options section.

A great way to increase site performance is to optimize the images that you use. To find out more, please click here!

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

      Hi,

I also ran a speed test on your site, you can see the results here.

As you can see, your site has received an F for prograssive JPEGS and a D for Compressed Transfer .

In order to rectify this issue please make sure to optimize the images on your site and try not to overload your home page with several fonts and font colors. Too many fonts/font colors will simply cause your user's processor to work harder.

Please try not to use more than 2 fonts on a single page. Fonts in plain, bold, italic, bold & italic are all considered to be different fonts!

To ensure that you maintain the quality of your photos and decrease loading time to a minimum, please follow the guidelines here.

Compressing your images should improve the loading time of your site.

Please contact us should you require further assistance.

I think my biggest concern was the drastic slow down on this last time I accessed my site. I was happy before (good or bad). Then I had a WIX pro add a shopping cart and I did notice a slowing of loading but today was sooooooo much slower than any other day and no recent edits had taken place. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for your help.

By the way, I did add the animated section because WIX sent me an email advertising it so I would assume they didn't promote something they knew would slow things down. Am I correct in that assumption? Thanks once again.

Hi, just a few more notes.... I did not do my site - I had a WIX pro do it so I am a little unprepared for the guidelines but of course I would try to fix things.I had requested only one font (arial) and I am the person who then went back and added the italics I think. I can try to send any information you pass on but I paid good money for a site that would be easy to maintain and of course no one mentioned anything to me about anything once I had control over the site (other than "it is really easy to maintain"). I feel frustrated because even though I hired this person, they are listed as a solution through WIX (the get a pro to do it...) Again, the first time I noticed a slow down was with the implementation of the shopping cart but today was really different. Seemed like a server problem perhaps? I don't know. I ran Comcast speed tests on my connection (they are my provider) and then I compared with other speed tests and they varied quite a bit. Please help with any advice. I just don't think the optimization of pictures explains the change today because nothing else has changed.

      Hi  cjsteinhauser,

I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused you,

If you feel the site was significantly slower today without any editing done, this can be due to The Internet connection that you have through your ISP or maybe some a momentary overload on the servers (we are unaware of a specific problem with the servers at the moment)

As each page on your site loads separately, adding the animation to a specific page that doesn't have a lot of other animations or videos shouldn't affect the site loading time.

I visited your site and I can see you have up to 21 products in the gallery, you could try splitting the products in to two pages to try and improve the loading time.

Do you have the ability to edit your site now? or is it still under the account of the person who created it?

If you have the ability to edit it you can easily add another page to your product gallery by clicking on the gallery >Settings > reduce the number of columns or rows, another page will automatically be added to your gallery (you'll see at the bottom 1/2 pages)

Progressive JPEGs adds multiple copies of the image at lower resolution to make the image appear quickly on the screen, while progressively improving in quality, since you have a large amount of images on your site, optimizing these images should improve your site loading time.

Please try following the tips specified above and contact us again if you feel no improvement.

      BR,

      Lee - Wix Team.
