    Dear Wix,

My site is amazinggraceskincare.com. This weekend, while doing an event, I had people pull up this site on their cell phones which is the main device used for traffic to my site (99% from my statistics). More than 1/2 the people there could not even pull up the site. People who wanted to give my company a 5 star from using the products & write reviews (apps added to the site) could not, some that could open the page could not easily click from one page to the other. This explains the bounce rate which is not good, hurting my business from traffic that I am paying for (doing ads etc.). leaving the site quickly. They cant open it. What do I need to do to have the mobile part of the site actually preform correctly?  Open on any devise? Do I need to contact the (app) to see why that was not working? or is this something to do with the site loading itself on the mobile? Thank you for your time.

      Hi,

      Thanks for contacting Wix support!

I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.

I have checked your site on my mobile device and it loaded properly in a few seconds. I've also checked your Editor and noticed that your site has many pages and it is heavy. Please note that It will effect on the loading time of your website. I've also run your site through a third-party speed test and here are the results. Viewing the result, I can see that your site was fully loaded in 5 seconds and got a great score!

In general, please note the performance of your HTML5 site is affected by a number of factors, including the size of your website and amount of content on it, your internet connection speed and your browser version. Using the most updated browser version and ensuring that your internet connection is stable and running at a high speed will help ensure that you are viewing your site in optimal conditions.

For best performance, it is recommended to follow these guidelines:

      1. Optimizing the images on your site will have a great affect on its performance and loading time. For tips on adding images to ensure they take up as little space as possible, please click here.

      2. Distribute your content on several pages. This will improve loading times and overall load.

      3. Fonts take up a lot of CPU power and loading time. Please try not to use more than 2 fonts on a single page. Fonts in plain, bold, italic, bold & italic are all considered to be different fonts! The best solution would be to use browser text and not simple text.

If you need any further assistance please let us know.

      Thanks, Rony Customer Solutions

      Hey Paul,

Your site has many images that make it heavy and affect loading time. One great way to improve your site performance is to optimize the images you use. From a quick test I've made, I found that you have some heavy images that use up large amount of bandwidth in your site and affect its loading time, for example:

      image 1

      image 2

As for progressive jpeg's, I have noticed you have received an 'F' grade in this category. You can find more information about what exactly does it mean here, and you can find instructions for how to create them in GIMP here. Simply click on the 'F' rating for the images and you will see which images are not compressed properly for web use. You can follow the instructions on how to properly save the images and re-upload them in the correct format.

Also please note that each page in your site is loaded separately so that if you have large amounts of media in your site it is recommended to spread it on different pages and not all on one page.

Having said that, please note that we hold performance related issues in the highest regard and we are constantly working to improve the loading time and overall performance of sites built with our platform.

      Thanks,

      Hey Helen,

I have tested your site, from several browsers and computers, and experienced fast loading times. I have also tested your site's loading speed and have received these results. Your site loaded within 5 seconds and it is considered a good result!

Be aware that the performance of your HTML5 site is affected by a number of factors, including the size of your website and amount of content on it, your internet connection speed, and your browser version. Using the most updated browser version and ensuring that your internet connection is stable and running at a high speed will help ensure that you are viewing your site in optimal conditions.

Please note that your site received a score of D for progressive .jpegs, as you mentioned.

To rectify this, you will need to save your images in progressive .jpeg format. If you are using Gimp to improve your image quality, you will be able to make these changes in the Advanced Options section.

A great way to increase site performance is to optimize the images that you use. To find out more, please click here!

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

ATTENTION PEOPLE who are having problems with their pics and things.

Wix gives you sort of generic answers. Try this.

After going all around the internet and trying 20,000 different things.

Download the latest Internet Explorer. When you go to Microsoft, it will let you know if you have the latest.

Go to your Tools (it looks like a gear), Internet Options,  Advanced, Reset

Reset your browser and reopen everything. It should resolve some people's issues!

FIREFOX SUCKS and CHROME SUCKS!!! They work better on some things but not with Wix

      Hi,

      Thank you for reaching out,

Going over the results and reviewing your site I can see that over all your site's performance is great.

The results indicate that the images on your site are not optimized for the web.

Please take down the images you placed on your site and convert them to a .jpeg format, this will compress the size of your images by more than half and will allow your site to load faster.

You can find more information on converting images to a .jpeg format here.

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

My site takes over a minute to load and i gave up when trying to load the manage my site. So anyone wishing to view the site will turn off. It was never like this EVER. I have tried logging on from several computers and different wi-fi routers. Therefore this must be something your end. When i last posted complaint all i get now is everyone else's complaints on my email? OK what i need is a contact number to speak to a human as this over a minute load time is totally unacceptable. I know you say it works fine for you??, like i said tried and tested on many routers and computers.
