Hello, My site www.kautious.com is loading and running very slow, and my buttons do not function properly. I ran a test from the page you provided: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140724_WS_N9E/

I also noticed that your reply's are pretty much the same on everyone's post, so I am asking you to please take the time and investigate my issue truthfully. I like your concept, and this gives power to individuals that do not write code, however, we are paying for a service, and there are a lot of other options out there, so please use integrity and help us diagnose, and fix our issues.

    Thanks,

      Hi Ken,

I ran another speed test on your site, you can see the results here.

I visited your editor and I can see you have a lot of media on your homepage.

please note that each page in your site is loaded separately so that if you have large amounts of media in your site it is recommended to spread it on different pages and not all on one page.

As you can see from your speed test, your site received a C for progressive JPEG. It is recommended that you try an reduce the size of your background photo and the images in your gallery in order to improve your site's loading time.

To ensure that you maintain the quality of your photos and decrease loading time to a minimum, please follow the guidelines here.

Please contact us again if you are still experiencing site prefomance issues after following the steps above.

    Hi,

My site takes a long time to load, showing only a white screen for about 10 seconds before loading properly. Why is this? I dont think my site is too full.

      Hi,

      Thank you for reaching out,

Going over your site and running it through a speed test I can see that over all your site's performance is great.

The speed test results indicate your site first displays within 1.2 seconds, generally anything between 5-7 seconds is considered good.

I can honestly say that accessing your site using my personal laptop it loaded really quickly on my end.

While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

Don't hesitate to contact us again if you require additional assistance.

All the best, Dean - Wix Team

      Hi Vlad,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

Please note that I have accessed your site and your site's loaded very quickly on my end. In addition, I have ran a test result on your site and you scored very well on every criteria as you can see here.

If you are still experiencing performance issues on your site, it may be because of one of the following factors:

      - The speed of your own connection or an overload at your ISP during peak hours
      - The amount of content on your site or home page
      -  A large number of animations and/or animated behaviors/effects on your site
      - Very large MP3 files which load on your home page
      - A slower computer (i.e. with a slow processor or low RAM) which may load the site slowly, as it cannot process the information quickly enough.

In order to optimize your site for speed, try to follow these guidelines:

      - Do not use too many animations on your homepage
      - Try to use a uniform font for your site (1-3 fonts)
      - If you decide to use an MP3 on your homepage, try to use a smaller file.
      - If you use many shapes and components in the editor to create a larger image, it would be best to create a single image, with these elements, on your computer and then upload it to Wix.

Please let us know should you need any further assistance.

    Slow or non-opening sites

Hello there….I have several sites with Wix.com, and all of them are getting complaints from customers that they can be slow to open or do not open at all. At first I thought this was a problem because of jogs (and it could be on some of my sites) but I just recently started a blog site and people cannot even open blog pages withOUT images on them.

I am also getting complaints that people have an exceptionally hard time trying to open my sites when on a cell phone.

Please advise. I am absolutely losing customers on my e-commerce sites because they are informing me so. Thank you.

      Hello,

I have also run a speed test on your site, whose output is available here.

I have been able to load your site without issues.

Please note that you have run the test using an outdated browser (IE9).

Please make sure you spread the homepage content across the site and avoid adding heavy media content in it.

In addition, please compress your images.

Feel free to let us know in case the issue persists.

      Hi Dan,

Thank you for contacting us regarding this matter.

Please note that I have accessed your site and your site loaded quickly, about 5 seconds which is considered normal.

If you are still experiencing performance issues on your site, it may be because of one of the following factors:

      - The speed of your own connection or an overload at your ISP during peak hours
      - The amount of content on your site or home page

      - If you decide to use an MP3 on your homepage, try to use a smaller file.
      - If you use many shapes and components in the editor to create a larger image, it would be best to create a single image, with these elements, on your computer and then upload it to Wix.

Please inform us should the issue continues hence we can investigate it accordingly.

      Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Wix support team.

There are two main factors that affect the loading time:

      1. The size of your website

      2. The Internet connection that you have through your ISP

Since we cannot do anything to help your site regarding factor 2, your main goal should

      be optimizing your site's size.

I can see that your sites holds a lot of heavy content such as galleries, video's, HTML coding etc. will cause longer load times.

To ensure that you maintain the quality of your photos and decrease loading time to a minimum, please follow the guidelines  here .

Also please note that each page in your site is loaded separately so that if you have large amounts of media in your site it is recommended to spread it on different pages and not all on one page.

My site www.foodtoyourfridge.com is running very slow and customers are now leaving the site because it is not working all the time. Here are the test results

    http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140723_G5_M94/

Last week I followed the instructions and changed all the images to progressive jpeg images. It doesn't seem to be helping. I am aware my site is large. It is an eCommerce site and I still have products to add. Not to be rude but, if this is as good as the site performance is going to get please let me know so I can stop wasting my time.

    Thank you,

    Kelly

      Hi,

      Thank you for contacting us!

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have visited your site. Your home page has several heavy elements on it, making it a full and heavy page. It takes a while to load.

Please consider moving these elements to another page, and making a home page with fewer images, apps and slideshows. This will allow you site to load much quicker.

A great way to increase site performance is to optimize the images that you use. To find out more, please click here!

Don't hesitate to contact us again,

      Ella

Thank you for getting back to me. It is not just my homepage that is having problems. My customers are having problems with the actual product pages and the checkout. Could you please explain what is meant by full & heavy homepage. Would it help if I got rid of the slideshow? I did follow the directions to optimize the images about a week ago, it has not really helped. Please help, this is my livelihood and I can not afford to keep losing customers.

      Thank you,

      Kelly
