Here is results link to our test. Have been having slow load time for over a week and just thought it would fix itself over time. Also, sometimes only our top 1/4 of screen shows; not our pics/text - until I refresh.

Dear WIX team,
We're not using any images (only background) and no video's etc. on our home page/website. nevertheless, loading the website takes over 14 seconds to complete (results below - check 'filmstrip')
to test if this is because i'm using a image as a background I removed the image but the time to load is still around 13 seconds. (results below - check 'film strip')
The tests above were done with Google Chrome.
Loading with ie8 is 'faster' but it shows a blank page: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140311_FB_EV6/ (check film strip)
Loading with ie9: http://www.webpagetest.org/result/140311_ER_GNX/ (11seconds)
We have advertisements going out so the functionality and speed performance of this website is very important now. could you give us specific advise how to improve load time for our website?

I'm doing my site at this moment. Don't have a lot of content - though some pictures. But when I try do edit my site (even the smallest corrections to the default like font size or font type) the editing page takes at least 1-2 minutes for every correction, every letter typed, every comma erased. That, I'm sure, cannot be the way you want it to! Or am I wrong? In that case, I'm quickly off to wordpress instead, however irritating that would be. Please keep me posted!

I have only filled out your templates with my pictures and text. I have tried on several different computers and operating systems.

I am having major loading issues with the blog page on my site, when people click on it appears grey for some time and often doesn't even load. Why is this happening? The rest of my site loads slowly as well but the biggest problem is on the blog page. I have a premium package and expect my site to run a lot smoother than this.

Hopefully this can be fixed or I'll be moving my site.

Hi again WIX, my site still isn't loading. Still only getting just the top and bottom banners. I seem to be able to get to the editor but don't need to change anything at this time. To be honest, am a bit nervous to make any changes in case anything bad happens.
I respectfully ask that you don't give me the standard reply... I am sure you guys are busy with recent hacks and try to get to everyone - I respect that but honestly, as a paying customer am feeling frustrated. From the notifications of other websites having difficulty, I can't help but think this is a problem at your end.
My prospective customers can't get to the site - these people are worldwide on various systems.
Please reply to my post as last time you didn't (please see below)

Hi... I too received the apology letter. However I've been slow for quite some time (like a few weeks now) it takes anything from one minute and up to load - to the point where am receiving high bounce rates. I understand you people are busy - I am too, I know the feeling. Please fix this soon. Am keeping up to date on your facebook feed.

Despite running the site test (97/100), the load delay problem is being experienced by myself (Australia) and users in the US. Have checked on several computers and connection types.
Thank you, Gabrielle.

I have not managed to recreate your sites loading time issues. Please have a look at thisvideo demonstrating how fast your site is loading for me (less than 2 seconds).

Hi Natty, I appreciate you having a look at the site but I am still having load problems. Now only the top and bottom (header and footer) are loading. I appreciate guys are busy at the moment, but the standard 'formula' replies aren't helpful as far as I'm concerned. It appears that many sites are having problems according to the various support threads - obviously there is a problem somewhere in the system. I've paid for my wix site, I hope I haven't wasted my money! Gabrielle

My website is in progress at work, about half done, but it is live. My greatest concern is the speed at this point. I am testing it from time to time. The best performance I am getting is about 2 seconds loading time. The worst is about 30-40 seconds. It's faster in Chrome, manageable in Safari and Firefox, and slowest in IE 11.
My internet connection is just fine and please don't tell me about cleaning the computer. It is fine too. All other websites load instantly.
And please don't tell me about the image compression as my website is 99% text based (unless you as a professional think otherwise. I am just saying don't give me a generic answer.)
Even 2 seconds is too much. I am putting a lot of effort in creating this website, and if I can't improve on the speed, I will not be able to use it. If that will be the case, I need to stop investing another one month, and make the difficult decision to part with Wix. I really hope that doesn't happen.

PLease please see my site. I run on Safari and updated macboook pro. My site loads just the tabs half the time and zero content. It works once I refresh. WHY?
I reduced the size of picture already. Now What?
Here is my test linl.
