    I am after editing my site and it is telling me

     

    "A problem in your site structure prevented us from saving your site. The good news is that it's already been fixed automatically!

    Please click the save button and review your site’s header and footer for any possible unexpected changes."

    But it will not save, I don't want to lose all of my hard work so please help me!!!

      Hi,

      Thank you for getting back to me...No I haven't because the first step tells me to "Close any Wix pages that are open" so I will lose all of the work that I had completed.

       

      Is there any alternative so that I won't lose my work?

      Hi,

      Unfortunately there is no alternative. If the error keeps popping up every time it may be a cache issue. Cache issues cannot be solved without closing the tab and clearing browser data.

      Sadly, any data that wasn't saved due to the error will not be recoverable.

    The steps on the best reply isn't working. I am already using chrome too. I have created so much of my website and have been saving regularly but the message is coming up every time i save now.  Are there any actual ways to save my site??????? anything to do with the header or footer or structure because that's what it says on the message. 

    I really need help with this, i am already half way through and i am not ready to change sites so i need an answer asap

      Hi,

       

      Please try following these steps in order to rectify the issue:


      1. Open your browser to a blank page. Close any Wix pages that are open.
      2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies of "Everything". You can find step-by-step instructions here.
      3. Restart your browser and then log into your Wix account and try again. If this doesn't work, then continue on to Step 6.
      4. Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and either IE or Safari (depending on whether you use a PC or a MAC).
      5. If you connect to the internet through a router, please try connecting directly through the modem. Then follow Steps 2-5 again.
      6. Try disabling your internet security programs and try again (i.e. antivirus, firewall, etc.). It is preferable to try this while still connected to the modem directly. This is meant to assist us in determining the source of the problem that you're facing.
      7. Try connecting to Wix from a different computer that uses a different network to connect to the internet.

    hi, I cant save my website. I tried to follow the steps. you provided with the est answer, but they aren't working.

    I'm using Mac OSX

    with mozilla firefox

    my username is seerjones and my document's name is: healingheartsball.

    whenever I try to save my website u just get a timeout error or sometimes 200.

    im located at Shanghai, China and my ISP is China Teleom.

    I don't have any antvrus, but I use Astrill which is a VPN.

    please help me out because I have made a lot of progress and I cant afford to lose it.

      We also recommend you to try and use different browsers than FireFox and see if there is any difference.

      Wix supports all major browsers (including IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari), and all of those browsers support the ability to export favorites and bookmarks to the newly installed browser.

    My website is not saving.  I have made the same changes several times and when I go back to editor they are all gone.  I am very frustrated.  Also I cannot resize my header, drag and drop to reorder pages, change the size of a gallery, or enter a text box into the header.  What is going on?  Please help.  http://maryj087.wix.com/peartreepropertymgmt

    Excuse me, I'm having the same problem currently. I've tried the site twice before and this is the first time it isn't saving. It says that there may be something wrong with my footer/ header, but I cant seem to find the issue. Thank you and please respond soon.

    won't save or upload

    In the middle of working on my site (all was fine it was saving and publishing) all of a sudden It will not let me save or upload. Tried several times. I'm up to date with operating system (Mac) and browser. So it worked and then it didn't?? What now guys?

    I just don´t believe it! You still were NOT able to solve the problem on the editor and I just can't make changes to my page! Your service is a piece of SCAM. How could it be that I CANNOT have access to the service I pay for? Explain this to me! Shame must be felt by you.

      Hello. I just tried all the steps provided by you and the problem persists. It's not a local problem since I am able to save changes on Raices-TV and not in Ajedrez Encarnaceno. Could you please try to edit the last line of the only paragraph in Ajedrez Encarnaceno which actually is a web address and turn it into a link? Obviously I can do it myself but the editor shows the problem 10117 when I try to save. I can save none of my modifications. What's going on? Let me tell you that I'm not working with WIX anymore and am preparing the moving of my site to another server, but I demand you to solve this because I pay for a yearly service! Thanks. Windows 7, Windows 8.1. Chrome, IE 9, Firefox. I tried everything.

      Hi,

      Unfortunately, we cannot do the changes for you. However, what i would like you to check is if you are able to save your site when not on your home network. That way we can narrow down the problem.

      Point number seven in the list you yourself sent me: 7. Try connecting to Wix from a different computer that uses a different network to connect to the internet. My response just up here "Hello. I just tried all the steps provided by you and the problem persists." Your response again: "I would like you to check is if you are able to save your site when not on your home network." Are you all dumb at WIX or what? Solve the problem NOW.

      Please note that the first two weeks our correspondence with you was part of the troubleshooting process in order to try and solve and understand the issue - this process is rather normal. 

      Another week passed from the time the issue was transferred to our QA team. We are looking into this and we keep you updated as soon as we can.

      Yes. I agree. Would you agree with me that over a period of one year, which I already paid, I am not receiving the service for at least one month. How do you call that? Is it my fault that your editor crashed? NO! I demand a refund! At least for the time I wasn't able to work. It is fair, don't you think? Patience and understanding are both feelings I don't have for your company anymore. Sorry.

    cannot save my site

    Hi! My site was saving fine earlier. I added a blog and made some changes. I have followed trouble shooting steps and referred to the best answer post above. I am not getting an error code. Only this message. It does no fix itself like it says. I have tried again many times. Please help so I do not loose my changes.
