I'm still getting issues with having my site shown.

    http://gmvaldez.wix.com/portfolio

I've also tried to go to my account on wix to even just edit my site and I get this instead.

Can this problem be fixed or can you contact me directly to my email address? Following posts are a bit too much for me. Would appreciate it.

    Thanks

I really need help getting my website to work correctly. Only the header and footer are showing up when potential clients are visiting my site. The last response didn't help solve the issue. Help quickly would be greatly appreciated. I use several home computers that I use to edit my six site since one is faster than the other. This couldn't cause an issue. Help Please?

    Thanks

    Hello,

My site is having similar issues with not reliably pulling up content in live viewing.  Often only the header and footer will come up until the site is reloaded.  Also, the tabs frequently do not function correctly.  My site has been working fine for about a year, and I'm just now noticing this issue for the first time.  I am connected through the Wix name servers and my registrar is Joker.  I've just confirmed that Joker still has the wix nameservers listed correctly.  Thanks for your attention.

    Hi, I've got a site at timmyray.com

The menu shows most times, but the content seldom does. Also, the buttons on the menu only respond sometimes.

I've had this feedback from people using safari, firefox, IE and chrome.

    Please help!

Please note that I have not been able to recreate the issue in question:

In regard to the Safari issue, an answer to this topic can be found in 10.03.14 - Known issue - Safari will only show the header and footer.

As to the other types of browsers, may you retry to load your website while making sure you are using the most up to date version of the browser?

      Hello,

Please review the output to the WebPageTest I have run on your website.

Your website contain a large amount of images. You may compress them, thus improve the speed performance.

You can compress pictures in almost any photo program, save as internet web size. You should save your photo in the size you want it to be viewed. You can use a program like adobe photoshop. Also, make sure your photo is in RGB color mode and not CMYK- you can also check this in adobe photoshop by clicking on image> image mode. This will ensure that your photo is shown in the best quality possible in Wix.

I've also tried editing 'new templates' to see if it's only happening to my site and it's the same for every other template I try to edit.

It will always pauses on the 'LOADING Wix HTML5 Editor' screen. Can you help me with that?

    Greetings,

I built a website for my upcoming wedding with Wix and have received followup from a number (5-10) invited guests that the website is not working for them. It does not seem to be loading at all. However, it works for others so I am not sure how to troubleshoot. I'd like to avoid asking them to send screenshots and tell me what browser they're using if I can. Could you please support? We are holding off on sending additional invites until this matter is resolved.

Also, I noticed at least one image is not loading in Firefox. Not a huge deal, but strange.

    Best,
    Jacob

      Hello,

Please note that I have not been able to reproduce the issue on my end, and it appears that the site works ok on your end as well.

It is plausible that their popup blocker is blocking the Wix server. Please ask them to disable the pop-up blocker by following these steps.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for any further help.

Thanks for your quick reply. Those steps seem founded on the issue of opening the wix editor or wix templates, not accessing a live, published site. I'm confused as to what would prompt a popup blocker since the site is not an application. Another issue with this resolution is that it involves me asking our wedding guests to troubleshoot just to access our site and submit an RSVP. This is an additional burden on them to work around something that shouldn't really be an issue in the first place.

So far, we've only sent out "Save the Dates" with the website link, however we're about to send out invitations, which means the site will be getting a lot more traffic as people RSVP. I don't want to chance continued issues with site access. I'm holding off on sending invites for now.

Unless we can resolve the issue, I may be asking for a refund of my premium account and will have to go build my site elsewhere.

      Hey,

Without additional information on the issues your invitees are experiencing it is really hard to detect the nature of the problem.

Testing your site using Chrome, Safari and Firefox I did not experience any issues.

Can you try to figure out if they have anything in common? what browser/s are they all using?

      Dean,

Per your suggestion, I did some sleuthing, and asked my fiance send inquiries to the people who were experiencing problems with the site. In all cases, they were using IE but weren't sure what version. They are not that familiar with computers, so I'm thinking it may be IE 8 or another version not compatible with HTML5. I found some coding on your website that will prompt anyone with IE8 to download the newest version and thus be able to access the site.

Does this sound like the best approach to you as well? Thanks again for your help.

      Hi Jacob,

Yes, that is what we recommend doing. We're aware of the fact that some people are still using outdated Internet Explorer versions that are not supported by Wix, and the HTML code you've mentioned is the best solution for that problem.

      Hi,

      Thanks for contacting us.

Our records show that your domain is connected to Wix using the wrong connection method.
In your Wix domain manager you have chosen to connect your domain through pointing, while in reality you are trying to connect through Nameservers, and this mismatch is what's causing your site not to be displayed. Also, your Nameservers appear not as Wix's Nameservers.

You can use the IP pointing method but it's less recommended. Either way you will need to contact your domain host and ask them to either delete the Nameserver records because you chose to use IP Pointing, or ask them to change the Nameservers to point to Wix's Nameservers. Our name servers are NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90) and NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 207.36.47.9).

If you chose Nameservers please follow these steps as well, if not please ignore this: Please go into the Wix Domain Manager (My Account > Manage Premium > Domains) and remove the domain trevorjonesvo.com and then add the domain name again under DNS (name servers).

      For more information, go here.
To troubleshoot your domain, please click here.

Let us know should you require any further assistance,

      Hi,

I understand your concern. Please note your emails are with GoDaddy and you're only changing the pointing method, if you follow the instruction step by step there should be no issues.

If you choose to go ahead with this, this is what you'll need to do:

Follow these instructions to change the Nameservers in your GoDaddy account, or contact GoDaddy asking them to change your Nameservers. Our name servers are NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90) and NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 207.36.47.9).

Then, please go into the Wix Domain Manager (My Account > Manage Premium > Domains) and remove the domain trevorjonesvo.com and then add the domain name again under DNS (name servers).

Finally, you can configure your Email provider, please follow instructions here. Be sure to check where your GoDaddy servers are located (US, EU or Asia), this is important.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance,

      - Daniel M, Wix team.

      Hi Daniel,

I would like to stick with the pointing method.  I changed the name servers to Wix name servers, but my site still does not always load.

I was on the phone with GoDaddy and they also had me change the @ host to a neutral host, 184.168.221.44.

How do I fix my site, while using the pointing method?

      Thanks

      Hey Trevor,

Currently your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect. For instructions on how to fix this issue using both methods (NS or Pointing), please follow the instructions here.

As for the loading of your site, please note that the issue you are describing is a known issue when using the Safari browser. We are aware of this issue and our technical department is currently working on resolving it. We will update on this thread.
