    My site (melaniemealey.wix.com/ela9) is often "not working" when my students and their parents need it. I can't provide a screenshot of the problem, since they are verbally reporting it to me. It seems that students using a Mac have more success.

    When I emailed the link to one person to test, she said "I can't access it from my computer at work - says it's questionable." 

    I have checked that the domain is pointing to only one location, although it is NOT the one listed above (it is pointing to 216.185.152.111, according to whatsmydns.net).

    I understand that you have provided a domain troubleshooter, but I don't know enough about how this works to use that page successfully.

    This is a major problem, obviously! Can you please help me ASAP? I need step-by-step instructions, as I'm not very knowledgeable about the behind-the-scenes of websites.

      Hey,

      I checked your site using a PC and was able to view it properly on several browsers:

      You can ask your students to  go through the steps provided here to make sure that your issue is not a local one. 

       

      **Please note that your site is not connected to a domain. A domain is a unique URL you need to purchase from a domain hosting company and it look like " www.ela9.com"... :)

    Website only comes up when I use top bar and type in www.johnesmeyer.com. Also website doesn't look nor respond like the preview

      Hello,

      Regarding the first issue I understand that you mean that you can't find you site on search engines. 

      I checked your site and I can see Google hasn't crawled it yet.

      Please be aware that it can take anywhere from 1 – 3 months for your site to be crawled and indexed in order to appear in search engines such as Google or Yahoo. This waiting period is the same for all websites, not just those created using Wix.

       

      To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time this happened i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word cache: before it in the Google search. For example: cache:www.mydomain.com If your website comes up, this means Google has already indexed it.

       

      Remember, if your website has not been crawled and it has been less than 3 months since publishing, don’t worry – give it a little time and try again.

      Alternatively, you can help speed up this process by submitting your website to search engines directly.

       

      Regarding your second issue, I checked your editor and was unable to see any difference between the live site and editor:

    I've just reconfigured my site to HTML5 and although it works better on the platforms it displays on it appears to have a glitch which means that some of my clients only see a white screen - www.russelllewisphotography.co.uk.  My domain only points to one IP address?  It would seem from this thread that it is an ongoing problem, is the best thing to do at this stage to revert to the old flash site?  Thanks, Russell

      Hi, thanks for your quick reply.  I can't take a screen shot on my blackberry phone, it is rubbish and I'm looking forward to getting rid of it so I wasn't too worried about that not working with the site.  What was more of a concern was a client on an iphone 5 and laptop not seeing the site, presumably both using Safari.  Again I can't provide screen shots as they aren't my devices.  If it's the same as on my blackberry then when you enter www.russelllewisphotography.co.uk the address bar quickly shows a web address I have pointing to the site (www.russelllewisweddings.com) and then the correct address shows (www.russelllewisphotography.co.uk), no message comes up but the loading bar suggests something is loading but the screen remains white.

      To enable and personalize your mobile preloader:
       
       
      1. From the left side of the Mobile Editor, click the gear icon to open "Mobile Settings".
      2. From "Mobile Settings", click "Mobile Preloader".
      3. Check the checkbox next to "Enable Preloader".
      4. Under "Company/Site Name", type your company or site name in the field.
      5. Under "Upload a logo or image that represents your site", click "Upload" to add an image.
      5. From the image gallery, click "Upload Images" to upload a new image or select an existing one. Click "Change Image".
       
      Recommended image size: 256 x 256px.
       
      6. Click "Done".
       
      Your mobile preloader will now be personalized and when your site loads on a mobile device, your logo and company/site name will appear as the preloader.

    Hi.

    When Firefox tries to load any of my wix websites, the page is blank although the title loads.

    After searching, I learned that this was supposedly a wix bug that was supposedly fixed in 2013. Following some wix team suggestions I found, I cleared the cache for "Everything", I added a pop up blocker exemption, and Firefox is the latest release. Other users of my site have reported this problem so it is not just me. Opera worked fine after I updated to latest version. 

    The attached picture is what the page displays as. Blank.

    I am having the same issue.  I had it a couple weeks ago, then it worked.  Then yesterday, it worked until about 8:15 p.m. and today I still can not access my account.  My husband could see it at home yesterday, and not today.  Please help me.  Thank you.  emorrone.wix.com/Kiowa-counselor

    I tried the IP address, the first time it showed, 216.185.152.111 Then I tried again and received an error.  I closed everything started over and it shows the same IP address.  My page is still not visible.

      I checked your beautiful site and wasn't able to recreate the problem, I had no problem uploading it and it looks great:

       

      The IP solution is directed to users who pay for a Premium plan and use their own domain, so it's not relevant for you.

       

      Please try the following steps:

      1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies of "Everything". You can find step-by-step instructions here.

      2. Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and either IE or Safari (depending on whether you use a PC or a MAC).

       

      If you are still having issues, please provide us this information:

      1. What Operating System you're using (i.e. Mac OSX, Windows XP, etc.)
      2. What browsers you've tried - and include the version of the browser (can generally be found by going to Help > About within the browser).
      3. Attach a screenshot of the problem, if possible. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, click here.

      Please note the Best Reply above is for sites with domain connected.

      In your case, if you can't view your Wix sites, please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here.

    I'm still getting issues with having my site shown.

    I really need help getting my website to work correctly. Only the header and footer are showing up when potential clients are visiting my site. The last response didn't help solve the issue. Help quickly would be greatly appreciated. I use several home computers that I use to edit my six site since one is faster than the other. This couldn't cause an issue. Help Please?

    Hello,

    My site is having similar issues with not reliably pulling up content in live viewing.  Often only the header and footer will come up until the site is reloaded.  Also, the tabs frequently do not function correctly.  My site has been working fine for about a year, and I'm just now noticing this issue for the first time.  I am connected through the Wix name servers and my registrar is Joker.  I've just confirmed that Joker still has the wix nameservers listed correctly.  Thanks for your attention.
