We are aware of this error and we are currently working on a fix.

We will update on this thread.

Meanwhile you can use one of the following suggestions

1. Reload the editor - This error will continue to occur when you have the same editor session open. Reloading the editor will reset the session but you will  lose the changes and updates you made since the last save/publish. You will be able to  work in the editor and save/publish your site again once you have reloaded it.

2. Duplicate the pages - If you do not want to lose the changes you have made, you can duplicate the pages on your site and delete the old pages. You should be able to save/publish your site again.

      Have you followed the suggestion of the best reply at the top of this page?

      You can find step by step instructions about how to change your username here.
      To change your site name, go to My Account -> click on Manage & Edit Site next to your site and click Rename under Site Actions on the right side.

      To change your own domain please go into the Wix Domain Manager (My Account -> Domains from the top bar) and remove your old domain and then add the new domain again under your preferred connection method or purchase a domain.

      To connect your own domain to your site, upgrade to Premium and purchase a domain or get one for free (for the purchase of yearly package- Combo, Unlimited or eCommerce)! Click here to learn more.

    10104 error

    just spent last 6 hours creating  pages to try to save it and publish it and received this error, am I going to lose all of it as I don't believe it saved anywhere?

    I still have the work on my screen....but can’t save and can’t continue to work on it ie: shopping cart, as it requires saving first.  I must be doing something wrong...but really don’t know what it is.  When it asks for to insert site name....I’ve tried just about everything, but it does not accept any.  I know nothing about producing a website, and had hoped I could figures this out....but.....
    I have not registered a domain name at this point, but will: bluewaterantiques.ca is available and would be my choice.
    Hope you can help me.....

      I'm sorry to hear you're facing difficulties.


      1. Regarding saving your site:

      - Make sure you're not inserting a name which already exist in your account or a name of a deleted site.

      - Make sure you're not using special characters, only use numbers and English letters.

      * If it still causing problems, please send us a screen shot of the error. You can find step by step instructions here .


      2. Wix currently offers .com, .org, .net,.biz, .co.uk and .info domain extensions, so unfortunately you can't purchase domain with a-.ca extension from WIx. Although, you can buy a Canadian domain elsewhere and connect it to your Wix site.

      You can use the following coupons to receive a discount on the yearly Unlimited/eCommerce premium packages!

      The account that you've contacted us from appears to be empty.

      In case there were no successful Saves of your site then I'm afraid that the current editor-session information will be lost. Please refresh the Editor and try again. If the error persists, please send us the URL of the template you are editing so we can further investigate it from our end.


      To avoid future work-loss, we highly recommend that you Save your site every few minutes while working on it, and after any major change.
