    Wix is so frustrating.

    I have a domain with another registar, I have asked Wix for the nameservers for awkwardcity.co.uk changed to dns1.name-services.com and dns2.name-services.com and ask Wix to provide details of the dns 'A' records to use for my website.

    No response. 

    I have also purchased an email account with googmail via Wix, I couldn't even get past the first stage of step one without getting an error message.

    Also no response from Wix and no support number or direct email address to contact for quick help. Instead, you have to wait an entire 30 hours for a schedules call where I will no doubt have to explain the problem over again.

    And all I wanted to do was have my email set up. Waste of time/money!

      Hello,

       

      We understand the frustration trying to get everything sorted and appreciate your patience on the matter,  The Wix name servers for connecting a domain are NS1.WIX.COM andNS2.WIX.COM, you can only connect either via NS or A records both will just cause an error.

       

      An A (address) record is a DNS record that can be used to point your domain name and host names to a static IP address.

    This whole Wix thing is pathetic. You cannot contact anyone...I lose hours of work trying to locate emails which I have not had for days. Until someone contacts me I am going to get going on social media and put a rat right up your f...ing drainpipe

    Hi,

     

    I've bought a email from wix and It works fine. When you go on my website and try to send an email to me through the same email it says: "Owner email no set". 

    Can someone help me please? What am I suppose to do or how shall I do it please?

      I checked your site and I can see that you have yet to add your email to the contact form. 

      To do so, please open the editor and click on the contact form > Under 'email to' add your email to the empty fields.

       

      Once you are done, save and publish your site.

    Acabei de comprar 2 contas de emails, porém consegui registrar apenas uma. Como faço para voltar e configurar a segunda. Outra dúvida: gostaria de configurá-las para que eu possa receber meus emails através do outlook 2007. Estou com urgência na resposta. Obrigado e no aguardo. Marcos.

    I just purchased my email and wasn't really thinking, my email is really long and I would like to change it from daniellekansier@daniellekansier.com to just info@daniellekansier.com.  I tried to go through the google mail to change it but it said to contact the administrator of daniellekansier.com.  Is there a way to change the name you have on your email with out buying a new email?

      Changing your display name is done through the Google Apps admin console.

    I have two emails I purchased from WIX.

    I want to buy another, but I get an error message. When I go to google control panel there is an error message 'You have reached the 2 user limit for this organization. Please contact your Reseller for further assistance.'

    How do I buy more emails linked to my domain? Do I have to do this directly with Google and then link them to my domain?

    hello,

    I want to apply "bluerainbow.co.uk" domain rather than "bluerianbow.co.uk". however, I didn't notice that I make a typing mistake and I purchase 1 year g-mail account for @bluerianbow.co.uk, I want to change to@bluerainbow.co.uk, and I also buy "bluerainbow.co.uk"domain already, is that possible to transfer my email account from @bluerianbow.co.uk to @bluerainbow.co.uk. thank u so much.

      Wix domain purchases are separate from Premium package purchases. Unfortunately Wix domain purchases are non-refundable once registered.

    we already have a domain address and a web provider that we would like to change as the email capacity is very low (only 2 geg)

     

    can we purchace email service with unlimited access or at least better capacity. can we still use our old email addresses or do we need to change the email address on our website.

      The email service you purchase via Wix are from Google Apps.

      With Google Apps you get  30GB storage in your mailbox.

       

      The address of the email is the domain name you connect it to. Simply use the domain you're using with Wix.

      You'll find the instructions here.

       

      Please note that you will first need to connect your domain to your Wix creation, and although the Wix platform is absolutely free, connecting your domain to your Wix creation is a premium feature and therefore you'll need to upgrade your site to one of the supporting packages. You'll find the information   here .

      Once you upgrade, simply follow the instructions   here   to connect your domain.

      apologies if my question are basic. 

      how would I know which of the premium plans best suit me? we are small business architecture office. so i assume that e commerce is the most suitable

      if we do purchase one of teh plans, who follows up on linking our current domain name to the website to assure we do not have 2 separate web addresses and there is no duplicatio

      our emails info@...our web name.. can we maintain that as a n email address or the gmail nature will change its extension? this is important as we do not want to loose our original contact details.

      Hi yarasharif2013,

      The eCommerce plan is a plan you should purchase if you want to sell products in an online shop - if you do not need this feature, I suggest you take a look at the features the plans have (Connect domain for example lets you connect a domain, but leaves Wix ads on the site) and choose the one that fits your needs best - you can find all plans here.

      You can of course connect your domain and your email to Wix. Please follow the instructions Michael sent you in order to connect your domain. Once the domai is connected properly you can connect your email. You can also use any other Email host you like. If you have a personalized email account (such as mail@mywebsite.com) before connecting to Wix, you need to make sure your records are updated in accordance to how your domain is connected (pointing or nameserver).

      1.  If your domain is pointed to Wix by IP- Please contact your domain hosting company and ask them to remove the MX records that point to Wix.

      2.  If you are connected via Nameservers - Please ask your email hosting company what records need to be added and update them in the Domain Manager within your Wix account.  In the Domain Manager, you can add MX records, A records, CNAME records and TXT records. For more info about how to update these records, follow this link.
