It is currently not possible to transfer a Google Apps mailbox from one Wix account to another. In addition, it is not possible to transfer a Wix Domain which has an active Google Apps account attached to it.

 

In order to transfer a domain with a Google Apps account attached to it, you will first need to cancel the Google Apps account (if you have a monthly plan) or migrate the Google Apps account to be managed by Google and cancel the service on our end.


Once the Google Apps service is canceled, you will be able to transfer the domain to another Wix account.

    I purchased 2 personal emails(fitbizset4life.com) for a year but have not set them up yet. Will not be using that domain now and just purchased a new domain (thafullerlife.com) can i transfer it or do i  have to pay again.

      To cancel your Google Apps email account: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Mailboxes > under Manage Premium, click Billing & Payments > under Mailbox Subscriptions, next to the relevant mailbox, click Manage.

      Next to Next Payment, click Cancel > follow the steps provided.

       

      Note: After cancelling an email account subscription, your email account will remain active until the next renewal date. After the renewal date, all mailboxes related to the email account will be cancelled and all data in the email account will be deleted with no option for retrieval or restoration of the data.

      Transferring your Google Apps is, currently, not possible.

    I have to say, making it impossible to transfer premium accounts gives me serious reservations about continuing to develop websites for clients on the wix platform. Basically, I use this wix account to develop these sites, and ultimately i need to be able to give these sites over to their respective owners.

    Wix should consider making it easier for designers like myself to parcel these accounts out, if it wants to remain a viable alternative to platforms such as Wordpress.

      Hey,

       

      You can transfer sites between accounts, just not the premium packages or google apps.

      If you transfer the site to another account before upgrading it, you should experience no issues.

       

      If you need to show the site as premium before you transfer it, you can use a single premium package in your account and change it from site to site as needed. Then transfer the site to the clients account and upgrade it there.

    Transferring a domain between users

    Urgent help please.

    One Wix user has bought a domain name and set up a linked email. I have set up another Wix account, designed a website, and now want to link the domain name bought for me by the other user.

    How do we move the domain name across - your standard options are not allowing us to do this. 

    Tried to call you - but there is no telephone number provided. Please revert asap.

      Hi Sarah,

       

      It's possible that the problem you are experiencing is due to the fact the domain name that you are trying to transfer has a Google apps mailbox attached it it. If this is the case, it will not be possible to transfer the domain until with the Google Apps account attached to it.

    Even though you cannot transfer control of a Gmail account created on Wix through Wix . . . you can simply sign-in using your username and password via Gmail and pay Google a fee similar to the one you were paying Wix to maintain your business Gmail account.

    I did this recently.

    After calling Wix our company went to gmail and signed-in.  Google than gave us the option to purchase a monthly or yearly plan through them.  The email remained intact after we paid for our new subscription with Google and all of our old mail as well as new mail was there.

    Transfering email to another account

    Hi,

    I recently created a website and transfered it over from my account to my customers account however the email I created for them in my account stayed. How can I transfer it over?

    Hello cyber help.  

    I manage several different emails for businesses, A, B & C (I also manage their websites and G+ pages), and consult on company D & E (D, I am one of the Gmail and G+ managers, E; we don't use gmail and I am the sole G+ manager).  

    I am logged into all 5 of them through 4 different Gmail, youtube & G+ accounts.  A & B I have set up websites and emails through Wix, C from Domain.com, D someone else built in Wordpress and E the website is unrelated to the G+ page (we don't use gmail on it).

    Today the boss at company A set up two email addresses through Wix, one for me, one for him.  I manage his Gmail account and mine.  I am trying to direct my boss's emails and mine to the two different gmail accounts (or to my yahoo and his outlook).  

    I keep being told "you are trying to access the google admin of jazzrep.co.uk but you do not have a valid login" - when I use firefox it tries to force me to use company D as the admin.  On Torch it doesn't give me any options, just says the above.

    Please help, we need to be able to send and receive email from the correct business adresses, not just our personal yahoo or gmail addresses.

      Hi,

      If you already have an account with Google Apps or if your domain is already listed in Google Apps as an alias, you will not be able to purchase mailboxes through Wix but will have to go directly to Google and set up your account with them. For more information, click here.

    Hi Wix

    I had the same problem, and so I contacted Google and they have cancelled my account (12/25/13), but when I go to try and set up a new mailbox with Wix it still says "It seems you already have a Google Apps account." Help?

      Hi,
       

      To cancel your mailbox subscription, please follow the directions here.
       

      If you are cancelling a yearly plan, please remember that the renewal payment will be attempted 1 month before the anniversary of your purchase. You will need to cancel before this in order to prevent the auto-renewal payment.

    I am trying to set up multiple email accounts through Wix.  Unfortunately, when I try to purchase the accounts I am informed that I can't because the account already exists with google.  I tried to set the accounts up through Google apps and got part way through the process and had trouble.  I then went to Wix and tried to do this (it seemed easier)  and go the message I mentioned above.  What can I do?

      Hey,

       

      This happens when your domain is already registered on Google App's side, which means you cannot purchase an email package via Wix. You need to contact Google Apps to remove your domain from their systems.
