The sites are not interconnected and are completely separated. As you stated, Googles MX records are associated with soniaevenlac.com. If you do not get any mail - please make sure that your mail host is indeed Google - should this be correctly set, you will have to contact them for further troubleshooting.Best, Ritti
Replied by soniaceven 2 days agoNeed to get rid of defunct wix domain that is linked to my current domain
I originally set up my website under the domain "hearthstone-acupuncture.com," but switched to a new domain name, "soniaevenlac.com" and have paid whatever renewal fee was necessary to keep that site online for another year. However, soniaevenlac.com is still in some way linked to the original domain, which I've allowed to expire. You can see that the site "hearthstone-acupuncture.com" is still listed below.
Everything still seems to be working fine when you visit the site, but I haven't been able to receive email (I use Google apps). Here's what they had to say:
"I have checked your secondary domain soniaevenlac.com and I can confirm that the MX records are setup correctly using this third party website who.is. However, the MX records for your primary domain hearthstone-acupuncture.com are missing and they will need to be setup in order for you to be able to receive emails.
Please let me know when the MX records are setup for your primary domain as without them the emails sent to email@example.com will not received."
I cannot edit the MX records for my primary domain because it has expired. I don't want to have to keep paying two separate bills to have one website, but it seems like with Wix and Google the only way to maintain my website is by directing it through the now defunct "hearthstone-acupuncture.com."
Please let me know what I need to do in order to make "soniacevenlac.com" my only website so I can once again receive emails and get back to business.

My Email service provider is telling me everything is fine on his side, that my emails problems must be on WIX side. He says that you DNS are not responding. The MX are set as per your instructions.
I CANNOT receive emails at my address. I am sure you appreciate the gravity of this situation. I will need to cancel my subscription and go with one of your competitors is this is not resolve today.
Please help, best regards.
P.S. @ asciff ... I you are still checking this thread, can you post a step by step on how you fixed your problem ? I think I have the same issue.

Hi guys, I use squirrelmail to manage my inbox but now it says my account/password is incorrect even when they are correct. I contacted register.com about this matter but they say my email is hosted by wix.com, that´s why I´m contacting you, I need to reset the pass to my inbox. Domain: oziofoto.com

i just bought 2 addresses ( the 2 i always used already when i was not with wix yet) but where can i see the emails that will go to those 2 adresses? I always had them linked towards my gmail account.
I can not find the emails for the 2 addresses in gmail or anywhere else. Do I need to set them up somehow?

We have received the following reply from theName support:
"Although we manage the domain name castlecoastcampers.co.uk, we do not handle the email forwarding.
The nameservers are set to a company called Wix.
You would need to talk to them about your email."
Please advise what the problem is and why it has stopped working after over a year of working fine.

my mail is still not working properly because you should also update the MX records in my site as below:
I see you have the custom mail A records was set-up so you are good there; however I noticed you do not have the correct MX records set-up for your site. You need to make sure these two MX records are set-up over at wix: 0 mx1.sub4.homie.mail.dreamhost.com 0 mx2.sub4.homie.mail.dreamhost.com The 0 shown above is the priority number and the "mx1.sub4.homie.mail.dreamhost.com" part is the actual MX record. Once that is set-up mail should begin working like it should.
Please try to do it ASAp since I still cannot receive mails!
