    Hi, i recently upgraded my wix plan and got my domain connected to wix through nameservers. Under domains, manage, email, i clicked on i have an email provider and gave "webmail.joworld.co.ke" as my first mx record so that i can finally have access to our company emails, the email is still unaccessible. Is there something i av done wrong? please advice as to what i need to do so as to have our emails go through your servers? thank you

      I can see that you've added A, Cname and MX records. Please note that it may take up to 72 hours for the records to fully propagate and for your email service to work.


      If you are still experiencing issues with your e-mail service, please contact your email host and verify that all of the necessary records were added.

      If they reply with a requirement for any other records to be added please forward us their email entirely by copying it and posting on this thread.

    I don't use Gmaill but want to link any new emails that come in to my current host. How do I do this?

      If you already have a domain name and its email address, you can first upgrade your site, connect domain, and then connect the email.

    I have been sitting here for 5hrs trying to get my email to work! I purchased the email address through Crazy Domains and have been using it via Big Commerce through my Gmail account. I have now moved my site to Wix and now my gmail will not retrieve any emails from the POP3 address. I have emailed called Crazy Domains and have the MX addresses, and have added them into the relevant fields. I now continue to gmail to add in the POP3 account and it tells me "Server denied POP3 access for the given username and password."

    I desperately need to access this email address. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! :(

      Please note that adding the correct MX records to your domain is all you need to do on Wix's end to get your email up and running. Please allow 72 hours for the changes to take effect.

    I have my email hosted on hostgator, and I do not know if it's working. They gave me the settings, but do not know if I did right. 
    Can you help me please?

      Please note that you are yet to complete the payment for your premium package.


      You have to complete your Name Servers connection process, then verify your MX recordsAlso, please note that it is incorrect to have two domains with the name mail.amoremcartas.com.br under two different IPs. The latter is the most up to date one, according to your post.

    I have a GoDaddy domain with nameservers directed to Wix.  More than 24 hours ago, I changed the email MX records in Wix to GoDaddy.  The Wix message says it may take up to 24 hours.  It has been more than 24 hours and my email still doesn't work.

    Apparently my email has been down for some time.  I didn't know I needed to configure email on Wix after redirecting the nameservers from GoDaddy.  Don't you think you should notify people when this is necessary.  I'm not a techie, I didn't know this was also required.

      Your mail configuration appears to be ok, my only request from you is contacting GoDaddy, asking them again the MX records requires to complete this transaction, to make sure they are properly set, and send us their response.

      That's because I filled in the MX records myself.  Originally, I used the "GoDaddy" option from the dropdown box.  I subsequently had to choose "Other" from the dropdown box and fill in all of the records myself.

    I have fieldschurch.com on Wix and would like to have my emails hosted through aplus.net. Here's the info I got from aplus that I believe we need to redirect stuff that way.

    Ok so my site is www.jacquelineknight.com. Does Wix allow me to use my emails jac@jacquelineknight.com and contact@jacq...?  The site was hosted through Dreamhost but I've switched it to Wix. I want to cancel Dreamhost but it looks like I have to purchase new accounts with google is that right?  What's the point of switching if it's not fully hosted?

      Well this looks like a HUGE letdown! I thought I would just transfer my site to Wix but there are all these hidden charges.  First you pay for premium hosting then you have to pay for emails?  I think I should have left it over at Dreamhost because they included emails to my domain in the hosting price.  No one is explaining otherwise.  If I leave my emails over at Dreamhost then I am paying double for Wix and Dreamhost.  If I purchase from google then I pay double for Wix and Google!  Back at Dreamhost it was just Dreamhost I was paying for.  Can anyone clarify this for me?  Why wasn't this clear when I signed up for a Premium account?

      I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience. Please note that premium plans and email boxes are two separate things. I can see that your domain is not hosted by Wix (it is connected to Wix using the DNS method). 

      If you have a personalized email account with your domain (such as mail@mywebsite.com), you will need to update your domain records in the Wix Domain Manager after connecting your domain to Wix. You will need to update these records so that your emails can be redirected back to your email host.

      Please ask your email hosting company what records will need to be added and add these records to the Wix Domain Manager (My Account > Domains). 

      You can also post the records here and we will update them for you.

      Well I thought I was getting you to host everything but that's not how you operate I see now.  All your step-by-step instructions say to change the DNS listing otherwise 'pointing' the website to Wix is a convoluted and not very effective way of doing it.  Sending an email to the registrar or the host is the worst way right?  What else do you recommend?

      I'm still disappointed with the fact that I have to pay for email no matter which way it happens.  If I had known that prior to signing up I wouldn't have and I certainly wouldn't have spent all that time building my site.  I don't like to be misled and I will not be recommending you to anyone now.

      We are terribly sorry that you've been feeling dissapointed.


      Since your domain registar is Dreamhost  and not Wix, there is no way to configure e-mail services of Dreamhost  without contacting them in order to get these records from them. Once you receive their response with MX records, we can configure everything for you.


      Another option is use another e-mail hosts like Google Apps (see instructions here).


      We hope you will find our services satisfying in the future.

      Thank you for your response.  My registrar is not Dreamhost.  It is MelbourneIt.  Could you please update these new mx records on my site please?

      They are:

      Priority 10: mx1.bne.server-mail.com. 

      Priority 50: mx2.bne.server-mail.com.

      mail IN CNAME mail.bne.server-mail.com.

      pop IN CNAME pop.bne.server-mail.com.

      smtp IN CNAME smtp.bne.server-mail.com.

      autodiscover IN CNAME autodiscover-redirect.server-secure.com.

      For the record, my old website & email host was Dreamhost but my registrar was MelbourneIt.  Maybe that's where you're getting confused.  The domain registrar still remains the same, Wix is my new host and MelbourneIt is also now hosting my email.

      Hi there again, so in my desperation trying to get my email set up I signed up for the google app on Wix and then decided to go with the email host through my domain host.  Wix has charged me for the google app $99. On top of the yearly premium website hosting account I pay for.  Now, I know these are two different things but is there a grace period?  I signed up for the google app and then immediately changed my mind and removed it from my mx records to install the other one.  You can see that I am not using it right?  And therefore shouldn't you refund my money for the google app?  It's not fair that you take a hundred dollars from me for no reason.

    I want to know how to connect my own E-mail to my wix site. I have purchase my Domain, plus premium package with Wix, but I do not  want to purchase an e-mail from wix, I want to use my own. My site is up in running, but I still have some adjustments to correct. My domain is connected to Wix with the Wix nameservers, I went to Choose your e-mail Provider (which will be for me my google e-mail) I 've chosed : I have an e-mail provider , than selecting Google Apps as my provider, than I pressed the Save button. On my website mauibluepoolcare.com, when you click on contact in the menu, you will see my gmail address displayed,when you click on it , it sends me over to Windows Live Mail 2011. I want to use my Google gmail, in which I set up an account yesterday to use this e-mail for my Wix website for Business. I wanted to go step-by-step in order for whoever is handling a response back to me, which would be greatly appreciated. How to link my own gmail  e-amil account to my Wix . Thank you for taking the time to read this. Much appreciation.

      You can connect your @gmail.com email via a contact form. 

      You can easily add a contact form using the Wix editor: 

      1. From the left toolbar, click the Add icon.
      2. From Add , click Apps and then click Contact Form
      3. From the Contact Form Settings window, under Email to, type the email that your site visitors will contact when filling in the form.
      4. Under Email BCC, type an email that will be blind-copied when your visitors fill in the form.


      A contact form is added to your site.


      You can customize your contact form, which includes changing the style, adding fields, removing fields, and renaming fields. Click here for instructions on how to customize your contact form.
