You can edit any of the text on your site by double-clicking the text box.

 

To edit text: Double-click the text box > begin typing or edit the text in the text box > format your text using the options in the text editor bar.

    I think it is dumb that to edit a text on our website, we have to change browsers to one we do not want.

    This is the same issue I have.... And it is BEYOND frustrating so if you know your site has this issue, kindly & practically suggested..... why don't you fix your site to be multi-browser friendly instead of telling us to upgrade.  I am not on Safari, I'm on Internet Explorer and even on Firefox it is not working with the new FF browser.... Respectfully, I have clicked on the hire a pro link 5 times and keep getting an 'error' page.  Now what is up with that?  This is supposed to be fun?  It isn't fun or user friendly at this point and I hope you can help us because you've got a really neat idea here but obviously this is a common issue that I hope you've repaired.  I tried to register my phone # for a call and that option didn't work either..... Very frustrated as I've been trying to get this web page done for over a week now.

      Update.... Same exact problem exists when FF current browser is used.  Cannot double click to get to text, you are stuck on BOX....... Beyond frustrating and not to be able to get to support in a timely fashion..... Unreal. I believe you've wasted enough of my time that you may have lost a customer. Your tutorials on Youtube make it look so straight forward & enjoyable to create a site with WIX, it is not; makes me wonder how your Premium Upgrades which I was intending to utilize after I created my site would be like in terms of reliable functionality.

      I went over all of the emails you've sent us regarding this matter, there are two in total. This one and another one which can be found here. The email has been answered within a respectful 3 hours after you've sent the email, have you read our reply?

       

      We strive to provide the best support for all of our users, both free and premium within 24 hours or less from the movement your email is received.

       

      This is not a bug nor a browser related technical issue. The reply you've received in the other thread is correct. You've placed boxes over your text and therefore the box is on the top layer.

       

      Please follow the instructions on the other thread in order to move your box to the bottom layer and bring the text forward in order to access and edit it.

    I am having a problem with editing texts. Whenever I try to edit a text box, or add a new one and edit it, the entire box turns white and I am unable to type any text in it. I have been working countless hours on my website, and now have been at a stand still for two weeks because I all of a sudden cannot edit current texts box's or add any new text to my page. 

    I have tried "emptying cache" like suggested in a post concerning this topic but it hasn't worked. I have tried multiple devices and am unable to edit text boxes on any device. I've even tried duplicating my website and using the duplicated one, but I can't edit texts on the duplicated one. Oddly enough, on another website I am working on for an organization, I can edit texts. Just not the personal website I am working on. 

    I am using Safari 5.0.6 if this is any help to find a way to fix the issue. I have a deadline to get my website up and really need to fix this timely. The idea of having to starting over (and possibly run into the issue again) makes me just want to give up on making a website through Wix entirely. :( Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Hi,

      Please make sure to update your version of Safari.

      If this is not possible, We also recommend you to try and use different browsers.

      Wix supports all major browsers (including IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari), and all of those browsers support the ability to export favorites and bookmarks to the newly installed browser.

    I submitted a problem to you regarding not being able to edit my text and was told to download the Safari 6 upgrade, but when I go to the Apple site, the newest upgrade is the 5.1.10, which is what I just downloaded a few days ago.  Ever since then, I cannot edit my text. 

    Can't you people do something on your end to make this work for all of us who are using the "NEW" Safari upgrade 5.1.10????  Especially since there is no 6 to download?  Or do you have any other suggestions????

      I just found out that because I am using MAC OS-X 10.6.8, the Safari 6 version is not available to me.  I'm trying to find out why, but until then I am stuck in limbo!  Please help!!!!

      I just read another person's post with the same problem and I see their response from you telling them to download Chrome (do NOT want to do that), or the new Firefox upgrade.  I just did that the other day, but forgot to change my browser to that.  I just changed my browser to Firefox and I can now edit my text!  :oD

      Hope this helps others with this problem!  :O)

      For users who cannot update their browsers to the latest version of Safari, we indeed recommend using Firefox or Chrome instead.

    I have a problem where I am trying to ediut text and it doesn't allow me to, I cannot change the text color or remove the boldnest out of the text, I erase the text and typed back and it comes out the same... SUCKS!!!! I can believe I am paying money for something thta is not even invented all the way....

    I have the exact same problem since 1 week,.
    I m not able to update / add or change text.. Since there is only white box.
    i thought restarting might be an option or waiting a few days,..
    but nothing works..

    Other frustrating thing is that it changes my text in diff fonts / styles and sizes automatically all the time
    i constantly have to edit it and change it back, safe it,. and then it just does it again,.

      If you are experiencing this issue, please upgrade your Safari browser to Safari 6.  You can do so from the following link.

       

      If your OS doesn't allow you to upgrade to Safari 6, then please install FF or Google Chrome instead.

    I am having the same problem of double clicking in the text box and there being an empty white box that you can't type into, copy into, cut from, etc. This is boring and extremely frustrating. It just can't be that hard. I have tried all the trouble shooting suggestions with no effect.

    I have a fully operational site (cdmc2) and have suddenly not been able to edit text. Either double clicking or selecting the edit text button the text box clears (goes white) not displaying the text so i can't edit it.

    I have tried all the obvious, clearing cache, different browser etc..

    I have never had this problem before and its getting annoying as i need to update my site!

    When you first open the editor you can see everything fine, its just when you go to edit anything you are unable to.

      I would like to make sure that you are reporting the text editing issue on your HTML site entitled "cdmc2", correct?
      I checked your Editor but was unable to recreate your problem.
      In other words, the texts you added to your site are editable. 
      Could you please specify the spot where you see this issue occurring?

    Hello,

     

    for some reason I am unable to edit text on my website. Once I double click or right click and hit edit text .. the text disappears and doesn't allow me to make any changes. I urgently need help with this issue.

      Th page its occurring on is my T By Daniel site- About Us-Start Up Story- True Story & Fake Story.. However its possible that it's a site wide issue.

      I checked your Editor and was able to edit text without experiencing any difficulties (see screenshot below)

      I tried emptying the cache.. no luck however it worked on a different computer. any other suggestions?

    I am having similar issues with editing my text. I'm just trying to change the font, but every time I select it and choose a new font from the pop-down menu, it just goes right back to "Default". .. All I want to do it change my title from the default but it's not letting me. I'm on a 2010 15" macbook pro and I've tried it on current versions of both Safari and Chrome. I'm not going to download firefox or internet explorer, either.
