You can edit any of the text on your site by double-clicking the text box.


To edit text: Double-click the text box > begin typing or edit the text in the text box > format your text using the options in the text editor bar.

    Hello Wix team,

    Right now I wanted to add text in one of the pages of my website. After adding I tried to edit it but nothing is happening. I tried to add title and then double clicked to edit it but nothing happened. I also tried going to settings then click on edit text tab but still no luck. Can you please help me out? It is urgent.

    This has happened to me twice now. the first time i just deleted the site but now i have published my second so that isn't an option. All i get when trying to edit text is a white box. I'm using a mac and my cache is cleared, i have also tried different browsers, still the same. This isn't an issue with us this is clearly an issue with your editor, i'm tired of people complaining about this site and all its problems, your replies are useless and unhelpful. I honestly wish i never used this website in the first place after all its issues.

    I am unable to edit text. I am using a Mac OS X and version 10.6.8. As in other posts, when I click to edit a white box is the only thing that appears. I have tried emptying my cache, it does not work. The first time this happened I did a software update and it corrected the problem but now it is happening again. Also, changing my browser is not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I am trying to edit text but all I get is a white box and cant do anything with it. I double click and click edit text but just get a white box

    IT'S OKAY.. I FIGURED it out by myself... you have to keep play with the bring forward / bring back function on the text and paragraph boxes already on the page..tbh... I found all the replies from Wix confusing and irrelevant to the problem we all have been talking about.

    I am also having trouble editing/ moving / deleting SOME text boxes. I read where it said to move the other text boxes  to the back before trying to add a new paragraph ..and this worked in some instances,, but now it will not work at all in another.
    would greatly appreciate your help.. thank you

    I cannot delete the text box that I added in the Header field, there are three in there and they are showing up.

      Please try clearing your browser's cache, and using a different browser. You can find step by step instructions here.

    I'm having problems with text editor, it doesn'y work atall.

    I'm considering to cancel my account because the editor is nor working properly and is runing very slow

      It is impossible to edit the text on the mobile optimized site - it is only displaying the elements from the desktop site in a different more optimized view for mobiles, rather than creating another site. This has great structural and SEO benefits.

    Everything was going great but now all my text disappears or goes white or becomes invisible when I go to edit text. I have tried to change the color of the text to black but that doesn't seem to make it reappear while editing so I am unable to edit it. The original text I typed is there but I can't fix typos because the minute I go to edit text it all vanishes. And it won't let me copy and paste any more either so I am totally lost now. Please help? Thank you!
