You can edit any of the text on your site by double-clicking the text box.

 

To edit text: Double-click the text box > begin typing or edit the text in the text box > format your text using the options in the text editor bar.

    hi

    I have done most of the web page, and put it out for the public, a responds has come back liking it and suggested I edit and delete some text. Also add some more photos to my main page, but it stopped allowing me to do so. Why did it do that?

      Currently you can upload these files in the HTML editor:
      Images:  .gif, .png & .jpg via "Add" -> "Image" -> "Change Image" -> "Upload Image".
      Video: via Youtube or Vimeo -  "Add" -> "Media" -> "Video"
      Docs: doc & .docx, .xls & .xlsx, .ppt & .pptx, .odt, .pdf and .odf .

      To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

    Cannot edit text or insert text in any way ?????

    This MIGHT help.  I'm on Mac Powerbook, Intel core 2 duo, OS 10.6.8, and was using current Firefox browser 26.0 to create my wix site.

    I was having all the same issues with not being able to edit text: couldn't double-click to access, couldn't access via 'edit text' button, getting frustrated and double-clicking faster and like 27 times didn't solve it either, oddly.

    Tried the cache clearing...nada.  Tried the pop-up blocker suggestion...nada.  Tried the 'bring to front' suggestion and that didn't help me either.

    Tried opening the page in Safari 5.1.1 and voila!  I'm editing text.

      You may also reach the text box by clicking Command+M until you get to the object you desire.

    My text looks one way before closing the edit menu, then changes to a bold looking version when i close the edit box.  I want it non-bold. Please advise.

      Please make sure to save and publish after your changes. If the problem persists, please take a screenshot of the problematic text and we will look further into it.

      I tried that, it doesn't affect anything differently.  

      The upload feature for photos does not work at upper right. please advise - what's an email to a live human being?

    All of a sudden I cannot edit existing text or I cannot add text to e new paragraph or title.. I have been able to do it on this computer before.

    The only thing that is different now - is that I worked on the site on my laptop. I cannot remember if this problem occured straight after this or if I amanged to edit text. It might be that I haven't been able to edit text on this computer (table computer) after I worked on the site on my laptop.

    Can you fix the problem? I have tried the tip that you mentioned on your regurlar answers.

    Please help. Thank you very much!

    Hello Wix team,

    Right now I wanted to add text in one of the pages of my website. After adding I tried to edit it but nothing is happening. I tried to add title and then double clicked to edit it but nothing happened. I also tried going to settings then click on edit text tab but still no luck. Can you please help me out? It is urgent.

    This has happened to me twice now. the first time i just deleted the site but now i have published my second so that isn't an option. All i get when trying to edit text is a white box. I'm using a mac and my cache is cleared, i have also tried different browsers, still the same. This isn't an issue with us this is clearly an issue with your editor, i'm tired of people complaining about this site and all its problems, your replies are useless and unhelpful. I honestly wish i never used this website in the first place after all its issues.

    Hello,

    I am unable to edit text. I am using a Mac OS X and version 10.6.8. As in other posts, when I click to edit a white box is the only thing that appears. I have tried emptying my cache, it does not work. The first time this happened I did a software update and it corrected the problem but now it is happening again. Also, changing my browser is not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I am trying to edit text but all I get is a white box and cant do anything with it. I double click and click edit text but just get a white box

    IT'S OKAY.. I FIGURED it out by myself... you have to keep play with the bring forward / bring back function on the text and paragraph boxes already on the page..tbh... I found all the replies from Wix confusing and irrelevant to the problem we all have been talking about.
