You can edit any of the text on your site by double-clicking the text box.

 

To edit text: Double-click the text box > begin typing or edit the text in the text box > format your text using the options in the text editor bar.

    Hi there,

    I'm trying to change the concert date in a text box on the homepage for www.azizamiller.com. Two things happen when I click on the box: the box elongates and then I'm unable to actually highlight the text in the box in order to change the date. This wasn't a problem a week ago so I'm not sure what's wrong. . I've attached a screen capture so you can see.

    Hi, I'm including some screenshot.  When I go to edit text, I can't edit it. I try to select the option, but it doesn't work. The site is www.WLGeneralsHockey.com

      Hi,

      Thanks for contacting us. I apologize for the inconvenience.

      I have visited your site's editor.

      At the moment, the text box and the slideshow underneath it are located in two different boxes, that are one inside the other. This is preventing you from editing the text box.

      The easiest way to fix the issue would be to delete the boxes. Please make sure to first drag the slideshow out of its box, so it won't get deleted along with it. 

      Then, re-arrange the title and the slideshow, and add a new box if needed.

    I am having problems editing text.  In the editor, I double click on the text I want to edit, but then the text box becomes very large and actually doesn't allow me to edit any text. I have some screenshots of it. Can anyone help? Is this a bug with the editor?

      I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.

       

      Where exactly in your editor are you experiencing this issue and is this only with a specific text element or will all of them?

       

      This issue may occur when using an out-dated browser version.

      Make sure to try different and updated browsers and connections:

    I want to display some boxed text in *two* columns, just to be easier on viewer's eyes, but am having no luck finding how to do this. Can you direct me?    Thanks

      You can simply add two text boxes, and snap them together so they are aligned.

    Hello team, can you please check why I could change font of my website from Georgia to Sonika easily except text on page http://www.woof.sk/#!stastny-utulkac/c1pjt. There is someting wrong with text field.

      If you want to change the font, double-click the text box to select it > highlight the entire text > from the Text Editor toolbar, click the Font drop-down menu > select the font of your choice:

    When I opened my editor to begin finalizing my site today, a random text box showed up on all pages. I tried to delete it, but am unable to select it. I have moved every item on the page to the back. I have created a new page with no content and am still unable to select it. It is an item that has the "show on every page" box checked because it shows up on every page. I have tried using different browsers. logging out and re-logging in. Clearly I do not want the "I'm a little paragraph" description on the top of the page for every page on my brand new website. Please help!!!

    I too was having issues with Justifying my text within the text box. It is entirely stupid and unprofessional to have an editing tool malfunction due to a zoom level on the browser used to run and edit your site. I zoomed out to just 90% and could not use the Justify text option. I had to reset the zoom to 100% to fix the issue. The zoom level of the browser should have no effect on the usability of any tool or editing period. Very frustrating and disappointing.

      Within a site editor browser zoom is a huge factor. The editor cannot know how you intend your site to be. Always edit in 100% zoom. Visiting the site is a different matter and indeed we agree that when visiting the site should function nominally with different levels of zoom.

    How do I remove the line from crossing through my text?  I edited the text and instead of the border box breaking, it crossed out my text.

    Hi - i have just picked a website template to edit but i cant seem to edit the text, i have tried multiple ways but it wont do anything? help!

    Each time I go to edit any of my text boxes a white screen blanks out the box and I am unable to change existing text. I have tried deleting the text box and starting again but the same problem appears. Please help

      While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict. Please clear your browser's cache and cookies of "Everything". You can find step-by-step instructions here.

       

      Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer (version 9 and above), ans Safari. 

       

      If you are still having issues, please provide us the following information:

      What Operating System are you using (i.e. Mac OSX, Windows XP, etc.)
      What browsers have you tried - and include the version of the browser (can generally be found by going to Help > About within the browser).

      Thanks. I used a different browser. I was using Safari but changed to Google Chrome and fixed the problem. Thanks again.
