You can edit any of the text on your site by double-clicking the text box.

 

To edit text: Double-click the text box > begin typing or edit the text in the text box > format your text using the options in the text editor bar.

    When I opened my editor to begin finalizing my site today, a random text box showed up on all pages. I tried to delete it, but am unable to select it. I have moved every item on the page to the back. I have created a new page with no content and am still unable to select it. It is an item that has the "show on every page" box checked because it shows up on every page. I have tried using different browsers. logging out and re-logging in. Clearly I do not want the "I'm a little paragraph" description on the top of the page for every page on my brand new website. Please help!!!

    I too was having issues with Justifying my text within the text box. It is entirely stupid and unprofessional to have an editing tool malfunction due to a zoom level on the browser used to run and edit your site. I zoomed out to just 90% and could not use the Justify text option. I had to reset the zoom to 100% to fix the issue. The zoom level of the browser should have no effect on the usability of any tool or editing period. Very frustrating and disappointing.

      Within a site editor browser zoom is a huge factor. The editor cannot know how you intend your site to be. Always edit in 100% zoom. Visiting the site is a different matter and indeed we agree that when visiting the site should function nominally with different levels of zoom.

    How do I remove the line from crossing through my text?  I edited the text and instead of the border box breaking, it crossed out my text.

    Hi - i have just picked a website template to edit but i cant seem to edit the text, i have tried multiple ways but it wont do anything? help!

    Each time I go to edit any of my text boxes a white screen blanks out the box and I am unable to change existing text. I have tried deleting the text box and starting again but the same problem appears. Please help

      I have looked in to your site and wasn't able to find this problem, I had to trouble editing text.:

       

       

      While browsing on the web, your computer and browser stores various information. This build up of information can sometimes cause conflict. Please clear your browser's cache and cookies of "Everything". You can find step-by-step instructions here.

       

      Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer (version 9 and above), ans Safari. 

       

      If you are still having issues, please provide us the following information:

      What Operating System are you using (i.e. Mac OSX, Windows XP, etc.)
      What browsers have you tried - and include the version of the browser (can generally be found by going to Help > About within the browser).

      Thanks. I used a different browser. I was using Safari but changed to Google Chrome and fixed the problem. Thanks again.

    Hello 

    I have problem bu pasting text in text box? I copy my text from word and then paste in notepad in my email like plain text then I  copy to wix editor and nothing heepend .please help me

    I can select the text that I want to edit, but the worst thing is that it changes when it is selected. The font completely reverts to a basic font, and I just kept working and just filled the box with what I wanted because I thought I could just change the font back to where it was later. Unfortunately, I am unable to change the font, the font size, the font color, or anything pertaining to the editing of the text itself. This is really frustrating because the editing on Wix used to be easy and simple. I have a business to run, and I would like for this to be resolved as soon as possible.

      I tried that. It did not work. I can't edit anything without losing the format. I am using Safari, and I have emptied the caches continuously. I just want to edit the text on my websites, and it won't let me on either of them. I want to change the "DM" and 'digital marketing" text to something different, and I can select the text boxes but it will not let me change the formats. If I try to change the text, it changes to "Body M" and will not let me change it back to what I want. It used to be the easiest thing to do on Wix, so if the process has been changed at all then it needs to go back because something isn't working. It doesn't matter where on the website you try to format text; it just won't work for either of my websites.

      Edit the Text

      Change Format of Text = Major Issue

      I have OS Mavericks. My Safari is definitely not out of date. I guess we need another solution.

      I've tested your site on a number of updated browsers and computers, I was unable to recreate the issue on either of them.

       

      Please test this on other updated browsers in order to compare the results on your end. Let us know how it went, which browsers and exact versions you've tested.

      I don't get it because it is really easy to test. Select a text box for editing and watch the text change to "Body L" without selecting that format then try to change it to "Heading XL." It does not change at all, or allow any type of editing. I put in a great deal of work on my websites before the change on Wix, and now it is almost impossible to do anything or change anything that is already there. If you guys can't figure out your own system, then I guess I will just go elsewhere because support shouldn't be this difficult.

      As Ron mentioned earlier- we are not able to recreate this.

      We understand the issue you are describing. But it is not happening on our end. See the following screenshot:

       

      Please test this on other updated browsers in order to compare the results on your end. Let us know how it went, which browsers and exact versions you've tested.

    Hello, I am having the same problem as many on this site... I've created a sight and have been able to edit text for at least the last year. Now when I double click the test box to change text nothing happens. Please help as I have a bunch of things that I need to change ASAP...
