To change the text color: Double-click the text box to select it > highlight the relevant text > from the Text Editor toolbar, click the Font Color icon > select the color of your choice.

Note: If you have copied and pasted text from an external source (eg. Microsoft Word), you might experience an issue when trying to change the color. For this reason, when pasting text from an external source, we recommend pasting in Plain Text. In order to do so, simply press Ctrl+Shift+V (Cmd+Shift+V on Mac) when pasting. Alternatively, you can first paste your text into a Notepad document which will strip any formatting from the text.

in the blog i cannot override text format (i need to change the color on the ticker/Featured Posts, the Dates that show under the title of each blog, and the Search By Tags).

the Search By Tags doesn't even give one the option to change text color (the current color doesn't work with my new background...you can barely see the words).

i hightlight the Featured Posts and manage to get to the text editing, but it never takes.

and i haven't a clue how to change the date color on the individual posts.

    thanks.

      thank you so much.

i was were the example shows.  perhaps i didn't select the correct font size.  however, i know i repeatedly changed the color from grey to white.

and thanks to the wix team for making it work!

btw, any suggestion on the Search By Tag?  when that box is opened, there is no option for text...only Tag Cloud...show all pages and fix font size/and which direction to lay it out.

      thx again.

Hi, is there a way to change the DEFAULT colour of the text? It is currently set at white but since I'm working on a white background this isn't good. I have to keep changing to black. Any suggestions?

This is the single WORST ANSWER I have ever received from Wix. My question is NOT about changing text colour which everyone and their dog knows how to do.

This is a question about how to change DEFAULT TEXT COLOUR. Naturally I save and publish after every change since I've been using Wix for 3 years now.

Please don't attempt to answer a question unless you actually know the answer to it.

Is there any one with any Wix experience who knows the answer to this?

      Hey,

I apologize if there had been a misunderstanding.

Nati referred you to the best reply because the answer is there, and I will elaborate.

You can change the default font style, size and color through design > fonts.

Your font scheme determines the font types, font sizes and font colors of the different areas of your site including your major headings, minor headings, body text and much more. For more information click here.

Please note: To determine the name of the font or to change it, first click on the text in question, and determine what the text element is (e.g. Heading, Menu, Page Title, etc.). Then follow the steps provided here.

We want to make working with Wix fonts even better, and we’d love to hear your feedback.

Click here for a super-quick survey so we can match our innovation to your exact needs.

      I hope this helps.

      Hello,

The fonts displayed in the product gallery use the customization set in the site's fonts configuration. Please go to Design > Fonts > Customize Fonts.

You can then change the color of Heading S, Body L, etc. from green to something else.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

I'm really sorry for the inconvenience that this issue is causing you.

When a user is posting a comment on your website and then sign out from his Facebook account, it can cause his comment to disappear for some time until it will update again.

You can find more information about the Facebook comments feature in the next link.

Make sure to update your social settings Facebook user name : It will allow you to moderate your comments on the app.

      Hi,

Please note that sharing the site on facebook and the facebook comments are two different things.

Facebook comments will allow users to comment on pages of your site with their facebook user.

Facebook share is posting the site through your facebook profile and sharing it with your friends.

      All the best.

I have just tested your Impress gallery and haven't experienced issues you are referring to.

I was also to change font in "Font" drop down  and text color in "Title Color" color picker.

Are you still experiencing issues? If so, please clear your cache and test your site in different browsers. If the problem still persists, please let us know.

      Hi,

Just to be on the safe side, are you referring to the font within the expanded mode?

Please note: It is not possible to modify the font color/size within the expand view.

      Thank you,

      Dina.

    • buddy09

      Replied by buddy09 March 4, 2014

Yes that was what I was reffering to the expand mode when you click on the picture the title and description text is in BLACK...  so I get it this doesn't change its just black text...

BUT can I ask it still doesn't work correctly. if you select title only it will show the title/with the correct font and colour selected.... but if you select TITle and Description and select font size and colour - it doesn't show anything.

      Hey st1643,

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines. However, you need to remember that whenever you update your website, it needs to be crawled by the search engine, such as Google,  before you can expect to see these changes reflected on search results.

It can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months. To speed the process you can re- submit, if you haven’t already, your website directly to Google through here. After purchasing a premium upgrade, connect Wix with the Bing Webmaster Tool and the Google Webmaster Tool

To see if Google has indexed your website, as well as the last time this happened i.e. to see a cached version of your website, enter your website’s URL with the word cache: before it in the Google search. For example: cache:www.mydomain.com

With the Wix SEO Monitoring Tool you will receive a step by step guide to improve your site's SEO. In addition, you can also target what your customers are searching for and it will help your site to get found on Google.

Please click here for our SEO learning center.

I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any further questions.

      Sincerely, Leah Wix Team
