The twitter API has been deprecated, and the original twitter widget will therefore no longer work on your site.

In order to add a Twitter feed to your Wix website, please follow these steps:
1. Sign into Twitter.
2. Go to this link and follow the steps provided.
3. Click on "Create Widget" and copy the code from the bottom right box:

4. In the Wix Editor, click Add->Apps->HTML.
5. Click on the HTML widget and on 'settings'- choose 'HTML code' for the mode and paste the code you got from your twitter account.
6. If you want to control the width of the widget, you need to add a width parameter to the <a > element in the code- see this screenshot for an example:

The twitter widget should now work correctly on your site.

Our developers are currently working on integrating the new twitter API.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

How do I remove the Twitter Feed scroll bar?

When using the HTML widget to add a Twitter Feed to your site, It may contain one or two scroll bars.

The inside scroll bar is a built-in scroll bar inside the Twitter Feed. To remove it you will need to add the following code into the HTML code you entered -

data-chrome="noscrollbar"

In order to do so, right click on the HTML app > Settings.

Inside the embed code box look for the the Twitter Feed URL href attribute and add the data-chrome attribute so the code will look like this -

<a class="twitter-timeline" height="405" href=" https://twitter.com/ OTTERappdata-chrome="noscrollbar" data-widget-id=" 345553838234804224">

The outside scroll bar is the HTML app scrollbar and appears in cases where the content inside the HTML app is higher than the height of the HTML app.

In order to remove this scrollbar, you will need to set the height of the Twitter feed to fit the height of the HTML app. To do so, right click on the HTML app > Settings.

Inside the embed code box look for the the class attribute and add the height="Enter the Height"  attribute.

The code looks like this -

<a class="twitter-timeline"  height="Enter the Height" href=" https://twitter.com/ OTTERappdata-chrome=" noscrollbar" data-widget-id=" 345553838234804224">

Now add the correct height.

h stands for the height of the HTML app. In the example above, the HTML box height is 425, so you would set the height to 405, since Twitter adds margins around the Twitter Feed.

So now the code would look like this -

<a class="twitter-timeline"  height="405" href=" https://twitter. com/OTTERappdata-chrome=" noscrollbar" data-widget-id=" 345553838234804224">

      Hello,

The code you added to your site is for a Twitter Follow button, and not for displaying the feed in your site - if you wish to display your feed, please follow the instructions provided at the top of this page, or the ones available here.

The button you added loads and functions correctly - are you having any difficulties with using it?

      Awaiting your reply!

      Hi again.

It seems to work in some browsers but not others - so it's OK in Firefox, but not Safari and Chrome?

So then, is the current Twitter button which will upload from the Wix Editor non-functioning?  To upload, I'm using the following navigation:  Pages > Add > Social > Twitter Tweet.

ADDITIONALLY, I find it of interest that some of my TwitterTweet buttons actually work okay throughout the site while some do not.  Why?

The following extraneous code is an example of what populates within the TwitterTweet dialogue when I am out on the www.   Seems to be from a parastorage location.  Anyway, here's what the customer/I will see from the DAMAGED Twitter button.

AGAIN, my only question here is as follows:  So then, is the current Twitter button which will upload from the Wix Editor non-functioning?

    (http://static.parastorage.com/services/web/2.800.6/html/external/twtweet.html?href=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2Fshare&count=none&lang=en&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwordladydjg.wix.com%2Fgazella%23!learntravel%2Fc1ka7&text=GAZELLA%20and%20%23RITZ%20Tours%20presents%20exciting%20%23travel%20to%20exotic%20destinatons%7C%20See%20why%20NYC%20is%20talking%20%27bout%20G%20A%20Z%20E%20L%20L%20A&related=djgTheMediaLady&counturl=http%3A%2F%2Fwordladydjg.wix.com%2Fgazella%23!learntravel%2Fc1ka7)

      Hey

This thread refers to the Twitter Feed, and not the Twitter Tweet button.

The Twitter Tweet button available via Add > Social should work properly.

If some of your Twitter buttons are not functioning properly, please provide us with their exact location, so we can further investigate the issue.

      Thank you,

      Tali, Wix Team

Is there any way to connect a feed to multiple accounts (As in "@EXAMPLE" and "@EXAMPLE2")?

      Hi James,

You can simply try to add two different HTML Apps on your site and create them with different HTML codes (According to the instructions above).

*Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App via the link above before using this.

In order to remoe that scrollbar you need to expand the HTML App. In order to do so please click on the HTML App, choose one of the drag handles and use it to expand the App.

      Hi,

I was able to view your twitter feed on Chrome without any issues.

Please make sure Chrome is updated to the latest version, try clearing the cache again (make sure your are cleaning "From the beginning of time"). And also, try refreshing your site using CTRL+F5.

With the Twitter Follow button, your visitors can click it and follow your Twitter feed.

      For more information click here.

With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

For more information check out the tutorial below, or you can click here.

      Hey ron249,

The width and height parameters are to be set by you, according to your site's design and layout.

Test your site's appearance with different values in these fields to see how it affects your site's layout and choose the values which fit you the most.

For more information on Twitter Widget customization, please refer to Twitter's  API documentation.

The double scrollbar appears because the widget code that you generated is too large in height for the Html box on your site. Please go to this link to generate a new code, and this time choose a lower height (to fit the size of the Html App which is currently on your site you will need to define the height of the widget to around 250-300pxs).

      Thanks,

      Gill, Wix Team
