I am soooooooo with shaunagiesbrecht on this topic! Pinterest is imperative for blog traffic and vitality. I'm also upset I'm unable to upload multiple photos in one blog post. I initially went with wix.com due to its welcoming interface and immediate usability, but now I'm uncovering the holes in the boat. I fear I'm going to have to move all of my work/content to another platform pretty soon here :-(

      Hi  michellehmeagher ,

      Thank you for contacting us.

With the new multicontent Blog you can upload Images and Videos to a single blog post.

To add a multi-content blog post: Click your blog to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Add & Edit Blog Posts > click Add.

To add an image: From the Post Editor, click the Image icon (as can be seen in the screen shot below) > select existing images or upload a new one > click Add Images.

To add a video: From the Post Editor, click the Video icon (as can be seen in the screen shot below) > enter the YouTube URL of the video.

In the Post Editor, click the space above or below the image to continue editing > to add additional images or videos, click the Image or Video icon again and repeat the steps above.

Note: It is not possible to add multiple images or videos to older blog posts which you created before this feature was released.

ALSO…in addition to what I wrote yesterday, about how to Pin large images from your site to Pinterest, I forgot to mention that when you Pin from a slide show on any page, the slide show needs to be located at the top of that page, as only the top few images come up to be Pinned. You need to go into WIX Editor and move the slide show to the top of your page for a few minutes (must publish this). Then go to that page on your actual site, open the large image you want to Pin from the side show, so it's large on your screen. At this point, a Pin It window will pop up - you will see a few small images and then a copy of the image you wish to Pin, with larger pixel numbers, that does not say "small". This is the one to click on to Pin. As soon as you are done Pinning the new image(s), go back to WIX Editor, go to the page you have put the slide show on (not your Home Page, even though the slide show may appear there) and move the slide show back to its original position on the page. I keep mine at the bottom of each page, since its only purpose to to allow Pinning of large images.

Should have said that after enlarging the image from the slide show on your site, you need to click the "Pin it" button in your browser menu, and then the Pinterest images will pop up.

ATTENTION fellow Wix users who want PINTEREST to be able to access large photos from your sites…I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO DO IT!!! I noticed that the only large images I was able to post from my Wix site were from my slide shows. There is something about the configuration of the data for slide show images that makes them Pin-able. I realized that if every page on my site has a slide show, containing all of the images on the page, every one of those images can be pinned beautifully. Since I didn't really want duplicate slide shows along with my regular image galleries, I put each slide show at the bottom of its page, so it will be as unobtrusive as possible. I have been systematically going through each image gallery on my site, putting the image into a slide show and then pinning each image from the slide show to my own Pinterest boards. It seems to be working great & I have seen other people repin my large images onto their own Pinterset pages from mine. That has gotten the ball rolling for others to repin from them.

I hope this helps everyone - and maybe it will be a clue for Wix developers as to how to configure image data for Pin-ability. I appreciate that you have recently added the Pin button feature, but I did not like have a Pin button on every image in every gallery. It was so distracting and besides, most of my viewers click on a small galley image to see the lager image, and I am unable to put your Pin button on those large images, which is where they would do some good.

I'm having the same issue.  When I am signed into Pinterest, under either my personal account or business, I am not able to get Pinterest to recognize the photos/products on my website except for the one image on my homepage.  Our site address is www.fivelo.com.

While on Pinterest I click on the add button - website, and then input my site address.  I've also tried entering the product specific page for the product I'm trying to pin.  In both cases Pinterest "goes to my site" and shows me all of the available content to pin from there.  The only option it is giving me is the main picture on my home page.  It is the same process when I try this from my mobile as well, same results.  Please help!

Hello.  I was wondering if there would be any update in the future for flash websites to be able to add Pinterest buttons to our images in our store along with other features like HTML?  I've tried using the HTML version to create my website over but it just doesn't give the desired effect that my flash website does.  I feel as though anything to do with flash has been abandoned and been replaced by your new format HTML.  However the fact that Wix was flash based and gave me the ability to create such visually appealing designs is why I signed up originally and recommended others to you.  Now I feel as though all the time I've spent building my website or any additional work would be a waste of time as there seems to be no effort to add any new features.  Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram and others are just a few of the social items that help small businesses create revenue but a customer can't use any of those features on my site.  I've seen multiple users on these forums ask about many features for their flash websites and are basically told do it over in HTML.  Since they are the ones that help made you into what you are today would it be so hard to add features for them as well. Please send me an honest response instead of the canned ones that I see so often, as this will help me decide my future with Wix.

My website is as follows if needed. http://condella.wix.com/condellanet3

Thank you for any information you can provide.

      Hi Cynthia,

we value your feedback and insights, we really do!

however, time and progress dictated the development of out HTML5 tool; it's a matter of evolution (for instance, HTML5 websites can be accessed via smartphones)

Having said that, we made sure to develop all the amazing features that we had in Flash editor and to make them available in the HTML5 editor as well, so users will be able to enjoy beautiful and dynamic websites with all the benefits that the HTML5 platform offers.

I'd like to add pin button to every single photo in my website automatically. Every other web sites can do that without adding the button one by one. Are you planning to offer that kind of an service. You know that, you are the most easiest and user firendly web editor service in this business. I am working with you for more that 2 years. By being aware of the fact that social media is everything nowadays, I hope to see you arrange that kind of simple solutions to your customers.

Ability to Pin images to Pinterest from Wix site

PLEASE add the capability for pinning images from a Wix site to Pinterest. This is very important for business purposes and getting diverse recognition. Visitors to my site should be able to click their own "Pin it" button and choose from all the images on the page they're on, then click an image, and pin it their own Pinterest boards. This works from all of my competitors' sites and blogs, so I feel this is currently a huge disadvantage to having a Wix site (the only one I have found, in fact).

Thank you for making this a top priority!

Pin it Buttons are not linked permanent to images

I have been adding the pin it button to my photos on my Wix blog.  They work fine; the links are linked with all applicable information etc.  However, when I add a new posting or new photos to the blog, the page arrangement with photos repositions itself but the 'pin it' button remains stationary on the page where I originally placed it.  This means that I must go in manually and reposition the old 'pin it' buttons to the new placement of the old photos before I can continue.  Once you get 50 or so postings, this gets to be quite a hassle and a phenomenal waste of time.  There must be a better way, Wix Wizards !  Please address this issue. Pinterest is the fastest growing social media community out there and we need a convenient way of interacting with it.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

      Hi shaunagiesbrecht,

Currently there is no way around manually moving the button.

However, we are always looking to improve our product and your feedback helps us do that.
