If you want to unpublish your site, you can choose to hide it from search engines.

To hide your site from search engines: From the left side of the Editor, click Settings > click SEO (Google) > click the toggle Allow search engines to find my site to turn this option off (change from green to red) > click Done.

Once you have clicked the toggle be sure to hit Save inside your Editor!

Note: Your Wix domain will still be online. If you use your own domain, you can ask your domain hosting company to point it to another server.

Note: If you would like to temporarily remove your site from the web completely, you can place a notification on your home page and say it is under construction. Click here to learn how.

when I try to publish my site it continues to say: "A problem in your site structure prevented us from saving your site. The good news is that it's already been fixed automatically!"

but it wont let me save and publish. How can I fix this?

    Unpublish site

I built a site and was ready to upgrade to the pro plan until I noticed that I cannot unpublish or take my a site offline? Even Weebly lets you do this! This should be a MANDATORY feature.

How do I take my site offline?

    Hi there,

I have a client who would like their wix site pulled off the web for now, but still keep it in the account, not visible to anyone.  How can I take it down offline without completely removing the website?

    Thanks,
    Hannah

    Unpublishing website

    Hi

I've cancelled my subscription and would like to unpublish my website for the moment.  I may wish to re-publish in the future.

Is there a way to hide the site but not delete it?

    Many thanks

    Solution!

Just duplicate the original (the copy site will appear in your account unpublished) and go back and delete the original permanently! easy!

You can do it in your account "my websites" page, choose the site you want to unpublished go to "manage site" and from the menu on the right choose duplicate and then in the same menu click for more options and choose delete.

    enjoy!
