There is a work around on this to get more variety. It's a little involved but works well.
Search for a colour online using your browsers image search.
It's better to search for individual 'solid' colours each time to get a good range. Say 'solid blue colour'. There is a difference in search results between 'colour' and 'color' also.
When you have found a colour that suits you take a selective screen shot. I use a Mac and it is very easy. Hold down keys - command -shift - 4 - to get the selector.
You can modify it in your image editor if you want, crop, lighten, saturate, tint etc.
Then open an image box and upload the screen shot to it and you have a basic coloured box to use as you wish.
Obviously you can make and use as many different colored boxes as you wish using this method.
Tip. Try different searches say 'blue background, or 'blue wall paper' That way you will get textured backgrounds also. Just remember the texture will lose it's quality if you make the box to big. Play around. :) Hope this helps.

If you read the instructions above then it will all be clear to you.
You have 4 options of changing the colours of the boxes, so use one box type in each page.
I kept most of the boxes the same just for uniformity. (Until the WIX team release independent boxes :-) )

Hi, I'm having the same problem: How can you change a box colour/design without changing the whole website's boxes?
I changed one box on a page and noticed all my other boxes on the other pages had changed to the same color. Is there no option to add independent boxes?

I already had a reply from another member of your WIX team.
I understand there are 4 different types, but I wanted to use more than 4, for a variety of uses.
I am sure your other team member will reply with an answer to independent boxes soon.
Maybe in a new release.
thank you again for all of your help and support

If you click on your box and select 'Change Style', you will see that you have 4 'Box Style' options to choose from.
For example, lets say you are currently using 'Box Style 2'. If you change the style on this box, all other boxes that are set to 'Box Style 2' will also change. If you want to change only one specific box, simply select a different Box Style (such as 'Box Style 1' or 'Box Style 3')and edit it to your needs.
You can see the Box styles by clicking on your Box > Change Style > You will see the 4 different style options to choose from.
