You can choose one of the four preset styles for box elements or you can personalize the box to your liking.

To change a box's style: Click the box to select it > from the pop-up menu, click Change Style > select one of the preset styles or click Personalize this Box to open the Advanced Styles window.

From the Advanced Styles window, you can choose a skin or change your box's colors.

I am also having an editing issue.  I changed the background color of all of my pages. The pages  display correctly both on the editor and on the preview. However, on the published version, 3 of the pages display in the wrong color. I've attempted to fix it several times, to no avail. Can you please help?

I'm referring specifically to the two "about" subpages (About Acupuncture, About Cupping) and the "Acupuncture in the News" page.  These 3 pages, when published, are showing up a darker beige, almost greenish, color than the ivory/almond they are supposed to appear.  I'm including screen shots of these 3 pages, as well as an additional page where the color appears correctly, for comparison.  Thank you.

      Hi zohraawan,

Please note that I have accessed the three pages ("About Acupuncture", "About Cupping", and "Acupuncture in the News"). According to my findings, I was able to see that the background color appears identical in both your live site as well as your editor.

Please try to edit the background style once again and let us know should the issue persists hence we can further investigate it.

To change a page skin or background color: From the left side of the Editor, click the Pages icon > click the Settings wheel for the relevant page > click Change Page Style > click Personalize this Page > select a skin or change the background color > click OK Save your changes > Publish your site.

      Thank you.

Best Regards, Nati - Wix Support Team

Hi, I can't seem to resolve the problem. To test, I changed the skin of the other pages to several different colors, then published them. The changes were successful. I attempted the same with the 3 original problem pages as well, but those changes were not reflected in the live version (though the editor and preview versions continue to display the changes just fine).  At first I thought the problem might be my laptop, so I attempted the changes from my desktop - no difference. It's those 3 same pages ("about acupuncture," "about cupping," & "acupuncture in the news") that are not updating for some reason, and continuing to appear a greenish hue when published.  Not quite sure where to go from here. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

      Thank you, Zohra

      Hello Zohra,

      I apologize for the inconvenience,

I can see you are using OS X, was the other computer you have viewed the site with was also using OS X?

I've visited your site and your editor on a Windows 8, with Google Chrome, and in both the background color appears green, I've added the screen shot of the two.

I've noticed this is the background for all the pages of your site, not only these three. Please clear your browser's cache, You can find step by step instructions here.

Once your browser's cache has been cleaned Please try to change this pages color again and publish it, If the issue persist please contact us and keep the changes you've made in order for us to be able to look in to the issue further.

      Hi Lee,

The other computer was a Dell desktop. I followed your instructions on clearing my browser's cache on the OS X and attempted the changes again.  This time it appears to have worked and all the live pages, including the 3 that were giving me problems, appear to reflect the changes I've made.  Can you confirm?

      Thanks, Zohra

You shouldn't need to have a screen grab, you can see the fault in the editor. View the single blog post page on desktop view then view it in mobile view. Looks different.

    Thank you Christian

Blog format not the same on mobile view

    Hi Wix Team,

When viewing my blog and single post page in the desktop editor view, the blog post box is a very light shade, but when viewed on mobile it is a deep blue. This remains the same when published.

I would like the mobile view to reflect the desktop view and keep a light background on the blog post box.

    Can you help.

    Thank you Christian

    Hi,

I'm having an editing issue as well, but I can't find the answer in what you've replied to other users.

I created a box and then I added some text to it.

I changed the colour of the box (it's the testimonial box on the Home page) and it displays correctly on the preview. However, on the published page, it displays the wrong colour.

I've taking it all out and started again, but the box still displays the wrong colour. Can you please help?

    Hi,

Even when I choose "personalize this box" from change style, the style of boxes on other pages very often, but not always, suddenly change as well. I often notice this after publishing. It is very frustrating. It is a fluke? I do empty my cache, so that's not the problem.

Is there a way to add a box without changing the boxes on the rest of the pages? I NEED different box colors/shades, etc. they default to one style.

    Help

      Hello,
Thank you for taking this seriously. This occurs with any box, on any page where there is another box, and whatever changes one makes (color, outline, shape) appear, when posted, on the other boxes as well. Sometimes, even when I only experiment for a few seconds with a new color in a box and then change the color back to the way it was, the new color gets “stuck” in the boxes on other pages, and this only shows up when published.

The same thing happens to me with separating lines. That was especially annoying when I put wider separating lines in a new price list, and the lines in the header on other pages also changed to these wider ones, thereby pushing the buttons under the lines out of place.  I now have the habit of going through every page on our site (around 25) to make sure everything is in order every time I make a change.

I like Wix very much and do not expect things to go perfectly all the time, but it would be greatly appreciated if this problem could be fixed.

      Thank you,
      Sister Lydia

      Dear Sister Lydia,

I created a new page and added six boxes. I noticed there were four pretedermined styles:

      Box style 1:

      Box style 2:

      Box style 3:

Box style 4 (same as 3 but with a different border width):

I changed the first column to box style 1, the second column to box style 2, and the third column composed of box style 3 (top) and box style 4 (bottom):

I now made a change on the top row for each style (settings -> change style -> edit style which appears when highlighting the style row -. change background color:

I gave box styles 3 and 4 different colors:

I added a new box, and saw the box style was saved:

I personalized the box (meaning, made changes to the single box and not to the entire style) and it did not affect the other boxes:

Please make sure to make changes according to the instructions above, and let us know if the error continues.

      Sincerely, Leah Wix Team

      Hi Rittti,

      Thanks so much!

to sure if you can check in history - what it is now is the same as what it became in spite of what I wanted in the editor.

The boxes are both red whereas the upper box used to be yellow and that is how I wanted to leave it.

However the box under the second/lower stipe became red too, whereas that should have been yellow. Really not sure how. In my editor it all looks good that way but when I press save and publish it still all red on the website..

      Please help.

      Thanks!!

What testimonial box and template are you referring to?

Which app have you added and where is it located on your site?

Please provide us with more information so we could advise you better.

      Thanks!
