In order for any changes to your Wix site to appear live, you will need to publish your site.


To publish your site: From the top of the Editor, click Publish > review your SEO and Mobile View options > click Publish.

After a few seconds, the confirmation box will appear > click OK.


Note: Saving changes will not make them appear live. Every time that you save your site, you will need to click Publish to make the saved changes appear live.

    I paid a plan in order to  more speedy publish I have done, but I publish and the site continue without changes

    hi, when i type in safari my web page title it says it is not published yet, however on Wix it says it is?

    Once I have published my site, can I NOT get back in and do editing or changing?

    I needed to update some pictures I put on...

      Hi Sandi,

      When you Publish your site you can always go back to your Editor and keep on working on your website. What is the exact error that you are experiencing?

    When I edit & publish my site www.reposriberac.com the whole of the main body text is not showing even though it shows perfectly well on the back end.  What previously were grey pages with text are now showing as empty white spaces.  Only my heading banner, menu and slideshow next to the menu show.  I have cleared all my cookies/cache.  I have logged in and out, rebooted the Mac but nothing changes i.e. no text showing at the front end.  Any ideas

    Hi I have just built my first website with Wix and have published my site, I am having problems getting my subpages to go live, My home page is live but my, about me page and Contact me page are not showing, despite following the troubleshooter tips on your site, please help (climbing the walls now).       Please note that you will need to add a menu to your site so that your visitors could navigate through your site's pages. Please follow the steps below:


      1. From the left in the Editor, click the Add icon.
      2. From the Add list, click Buttons & Menus. Click Text Menu or Buttons Menu.
      3. Click outside of the menu to close the Menu Settings window.
      A menu is added to your site.
      Note: To return to Add , click Back to Add from the top of the window.
      To close Add, click X from the top right.
      For more information about menus click here.
      Please note that to change how your pages' names appear on the menu, you must change the page names from Pages (click the Page icon from the left side of the Editor).

    new to site.

    I made own my site on web.com

     It is called   oilsandscoachlines.com

    I joined wix with the premium package $ 149 bucks.

    when I type in theoilsandsdancers,the site I created on, wix,  I get redirected to some page directing me back to editor ÉÉÉ


    any suggestions, as to how I get wix,  to point to oilsandsdancers.com  instead of oilsandscoachlines.com


    Hope I made it clear enough for a good answer!

    Can you please tell me why I publish my site with the correct changes and the new changes are not updated on my live site? 

    After closing the WIX editor and returning back to the editor, the changes are still saved, but still not live on my site - i.e. the many new photos uploaded on the home page slideshow.

    Also, on some occasions other new changes are on the site and other times they are not.  Yet still when I log into the editor, all of the new changes look correct.  Why can't the editor look like the live site even after publishing?

      Two issues:


      1. On the home page, I have changed, deleted and added new photos to the scrolling picture window. Everything is correct on the back end.  I hit publish and the changes do not go live.  I made these changes at 12PM (CST) yesterday, March 11, and have published and been congratulated on the published site, but nothing goes live.

      Here is the back end version, where all of the new photos are correct and added.

      2.  The same thing also happens on the home page when you scroll down to the "What's Happening at the Club" section of the site.  I have updated the photo and description, hit publish, was congratulated on the publish and the new changes never show up on the live site.

    Hi, my site appears perfect when editing yet the preview version and live site is completely black in colour. I have checked it from a couple of different computers and it comes up blue for a few seconds then pitch black. www.shecc.com.au

      Hey Anna,


      Please note that i was able to recreate your issue.


      You can see in the editor that your Footer is marked as 'Fixed Position', which means that it will scroll with your site.

      In addition, your Footer's size blocks most of the screen, therefore we advise you to decrease it.


      In order to decrease your footer size- please make sure to move the text component from the left bottom corner.

      You can't see it because it contains black text. In order to get to the component- Please use the keyboard shortcut 'Ctrl+m' (or 'Cmd+m' on a MAC) in order to move along the components in your page.


      And lastly- Google bans sites which 'council' text boxes (like your black text over black background) which can damage your SEO. We strongly recommend you to change the text color.
