In order for any changes to your Wix site to appear live, you will need to publish your site.

To publish your site: From the top of the Editor, click Publish > review your SEO and Mobile View options > click Publish.

After a few seconds, the confirmation box will appear > click OK.

Note: Saving changes will not make them appear live. Every time that you save your site, you will need to click Publish to make the saved changes appear live.

Are there any ways of rescuing the changes i've done in my site without clearing the browser as i am getting the unexpected error in saving alert? Thanks

If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like you'll have to close the browser and loose the changes you've made since your last save.

You can try the following: Open a new tab in your browser > go to wix.com > log out > log back in > go back to editor > try saving again.

If that doesn't work, I'm afraid there's not much that can be done. Please be sure to save every few minutes in future to avoid situations like this. I'm verry sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hi Daniel, thanks for the reply, i had to redo some of the work anyways, but as a feedback, the problem has reoccured when i tried to link one of the photos in an accordion object to an anchor, and changed the setting of the accordion as "when image is clicked go to the specified link". There is certainly something wrong with that operation.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, there definitely seems to be an issue here and we will have our technical teams look into this. Try to avoid linking anchors in your gallery for now.

Again, we appreciate you sharing this information with us. We will let you know once feedback arises.

how do I put an "under construction" notification on the site (if already published for some reason but not ready yet)? can't find anywhere. thanks!

      Hi zskollanyi,

You can create an 'under construction' page and simply make sure to not add any menus or buttons. This way when users view your page, they will not be able to navigate to any other pages.

is there a temporary publishing method that will have the site appear as coming soon or similar?

    • Barrios Wix Team

Replied by Barrios April 7, 2014

If you have published your site but it is still not ready, you can place a notification on your home page and say it is under construction. When users enter the website that will be the page they see! Make sure you do not add any menus or buttons. This way when users view your page, they will not be able to navigate to any other pages.

Let us know how it went and we are here should you require further assistance.

      Many thanks, Barrios

I publish my website but when I type the domain name (address) it says my domain is unused and free to buy. I bought it through GoDaddy and it is all ok there but my website just doesn`t appear. What do I need to do?

Your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect. If your registrar is Godaddy click here, otherwise here
