In order for any changes to your Wix site to appear live, you will need to publish your site.

To publish your site: From the top of the Editor, click Publish > review your SEO and Mobile View options > click Publish.

After a few seconds, the confirmation box will appear > click OK.

Note: Saving changes will not make them appear live. Every time that you save your site, you will need to click Publish to make the saved changes appear live.

      Hi erkanarslanbursa,

Thank you for contacting us. Your site has been published, however your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect.

To fix this, please follow the instructions here

Please note that we recommend that you connect your domain via Name Servers as explained in option 1.

Feel free to contact us again should you require any further assistance.

      All the best, Ellie

      Hi there,

Your site is live and available under the address you gave it to me: http://stkeverne.wix.com/parish-hall-2

If you meant you cannot find your site on Google, please note that it takes up to 3 months for Google to crawl your site(it applies to every sites created, not only Wix).

If you have any other question, please feel free to contact us.

      Thanks,

      Hi Kate,

If your site is published, anyone accessing your site's URL will be able to view it.

If you have published your site but it is still not ready, you can place a notification on your home page and say it is under construction. When users enter the website that will be the page they see! Make sure you do not add any menus or buttons. This way when users view your page, they will not be able to navigate to any other pages.

      Hi Yotam,

      Thanks for advice,

      Hi Kate,

You create an Under Construction page, and simply make sure that you do not add any menus or buttons. This way when users view your page, they will not be able to navigate to any other pages.

      Hey,

If you would like to temporarily remove your site from the web, you can place a notification on your home page and say it is under construction. When users enter the website that will be the page they see. Make sure you do not add any menus or buttons, this way when users view your page, they will not be able to navigate to any other pages.

If you don't want your site to be visible to search engines, you can achieve this result by going to Settings > SEO (Google) > click the toggle "Allow search engines to find my site" -> click "Done". Please make sure the toggle is red.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

I've had a my website handed over to me now and today I've spent the afternoon adding some images.  I've saved then published, but these are not showing on the live website. When I log into my Wix account the changes are there. Please help - this needs to be sorted out!!

      Hi emmalusby1,

I checked the site 'http://emmalusby1.wix.com/pacificcurd', however, I wasn't able to locate the differences.

Could you please specify on what page the issue occurs?

Also, please provide us with a screen shot of the problem. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.

To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

Are there any ways of rescuing the changes i've done in my site without clearing the browser as i am getting the unexpected error in saving alert? Thanks

      Hi,

If I understand your question correctly, it sounds like you'll have to close the browser and loose the changes you've made since your last save.

You can try the following: Open a new tab in your browser > go to wix.com > log out > log back in > go back to editor > try saving again.

If that doesn't work, I'm afraid there's not much that can be done. Please be sure to save every few minutes in future to avoid situations like this. I'm verry sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Hi Daniel, thanks for the reply, i had to redo some of the work anyways, but as a feedback, the problem has reoccured when i tried to link one of the photos in an accordion object to an anchor, and changed the setting of the accordion as "when image is clicked go to the specified link". There is certainly something wrong with that operation.

      Hi,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, there definitely seems to be an issue here and we will have our technical teams look into this. Try to avoid linking anchors in your gallery for now.

Again, we appreciate you sharing this information with us. We will let you know once feedback arises.
