In order for any changes to your Wix site to appear live, you will need to publish your site.

 

To publish your site: From the top of the Editor, click Publish > review your SEO and Mobile View options > click Publish.

After a few seconds, the confirmation box will appear > click OK.

 

Note: Saving changes will not make them appear live. Every time that you save your site, you will need to click Publish to make the saved changes appear live.

    Hi,

    After selecting publish and getting the confirmation I go to the link where my website is but it is not showing the same as the preview and I am not able to click on the other pages on my website. What is the problems with that?

      Please note that we can see no difference between your site online and the editor version.

      Please elaborate what exactly is not the same in the online version, so we can assist you better.

       

      Regarding the navigation menu, it is covered by a text box:

       

      Please re-size or move the text box and it will solve the issue.

    hiya,  I have been building a web page using your services but having finished it I am struggling to publish it as I have a domain that was set up with names.co.uk a littlewhile ago.  How do I go about publishing what is a very low cost site I am trying to run.

      First, please note that you can publish your Free site using the instructions in the Best Reply above. Once your Free site is published, you will be able to access it using its Free site's URL in the format: username.wix.com/sitename.

       

      If you would like to use your own domain with your Wix site, note that this is a premium feature and requires to upgrade your Wix site first with one of our premium plans. For information about our plans, click here.

       

      Once your site is upgraded, to use your own domain with your site there are two options:

       

      1. Transferring the domain to Wix

       

      Please note that this feature has not yet been released to all users.

       

      Currently it is possible to transfer only domains with the following extensions: .com, .org, .net, .biz. and .info.You can transfer your domain from another registrar to your Wix account. To transfer your domain, verify that at least 60 days have passed since your registered or last transferred your domain and make sure that your domain is unlocked.

      2. Connecting your domain to Wix

    Thank you Dean! I will do what you say ... but if you're familiar with MFC - how do I use my Wix profile on there?  Even after I publish ... how do I incorporate my new Wix profile onto the MFC site as my profile there?

      Unfortunately we do not offer a direct integration with MFC. You can however try and use our HTML App which allows you to add the relevant HTML code or embed another site onto your Wix site. For more information, click here.

    I have made som changes to my website, and I have published it. But when I go to my website, the changes are not made. If i go to the editor, the changes are made. Please help?

      Have you clicked "Publish" after you've made the changes in the or just clicked "Save".

      Please note that in order for the changes you make in the editor to show online, you are required to click "Publish".

      Hi,

       

      Yes I have clicked "publish", many times :)

       

      If u look at my site in the editor and go to the menu under "samarbejdspartnere", then u can see, that there are 6 pictures/brands. If u then go to my website bramdrupdamfodboldgolf.dk, then u can see, that there is only 4 brands under the subsite.

       

      So my changes are not getting published?

      Exactly, my editor looks like that - But then go to my live website bramdrupdamfodboldgolf.dk - It looks different, thats the problem. When I publish my editor, it doesnt reflect my live site.

As we are unable to recreate this issue when testing it on a number of updated browsers and computers, I suspect that this might be a browser related issue on your end after seeing the screenshot you've sent. I've noticed that you're using an older version of IE. Please test this issue on other updated browsers in order to compare the results.

       

      Let us know how it went, which browsers and exact versions you've tested.

      I am sure this will fix your situation.

      I have now the latest browser update and the latest flash update, and it doesnt help.

       

      Look at my editor screenshot, the one dinamiso also posted, and then look at my site online, its not the same.

      From our end the live site and editor are the same exactly:

      As you can see the two are identical, if they are not identical on your end please take two print screen images, like we have and upload both so we can see the difference from your side. Upload both of these images in your reply to us.

      My editor: wix print.docx

       

      My live site: wix print2.docx at Bramdrupdamfodboldgolf.dk

       

      They do not look the same, and I have published it many times and i have the neweste browser and flash.

      I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.

      I also checked your live site and editor and they look identical from my end: 

      Please note that the Wix staff have checked your site many times through different commuters and browsers and non of us was able to recreate the issue.

      This is leading me to believe that the issue is local on your end.

      ​Please access your site trough a different browser such as Chrome or Firefox, and also try through a different computer and see if it makes any difference.

    I already got the confirmation email saying that I'm online but using the confirmed site address I 'm not able see it online.

    BUG? Every attempt to Publish page edits doesn't seem to work - When I click "Publish," I get the confirmation pop-up, and the edits are saved in Editor view, but visiting the site from multiple devices (even after clearing browser caches) fails to display the changes made. NOTE: This happens after I click Publish! I am only reporting this as an issue after multiple attempts and hours waiting has not resolved the issue. Please promptly advise. Thank you.
