The magnet tool will allow you to connect your components together temporarily so that when they are resized and moved, they will keep the same composition on your page.

To use the magnet tool:

1. Click an element.

2. Click the magnet tool on the bottom of the Settings window that opens on the left side.

3. Click the magnet tool at the bottom of a second element.

Your two elements are now tied together.

*Use the top handle to move the elements on your page together, or use the bottom handle to resize them.

*Keep in mind this is NOT a grouping tool for elements and will not lock the elements together permanently.

Elements being very fluid and floating while moving them is great, but it's too easy to accidentally move elements after carefully placing them.  The element lock feature was great on the old editor.  Much needed for HTML5 editor.  Re-placing items so often is a big time waster.

Actually it's a complete disaster. I'm rebuilding my whole site now in WordPress because it takes forever to add an item and it's all over the place. The magnet tool doesn't work and copy and paste of multiple items don’t stay in the same place.

I'm very disappointed. Wix is great for a simple site but once you want to keep updating stuff (www.renanabooks.com) it's useless.

      Hi,

You can generally attach items to a blank (invisible) box - which will act as a container and allow you to move items together and make sure there are no alignment issues with your page.

What are you trying to achieve by using a grouping tool? we would love to hear your feed back!

      Thank you,

@avfbronfman, try using the Gridlines and Snap to Grid tools inside your HTML Editor to help you with your site's layout.

Checkout the video here to learn more about our Gridlines feature that will help you with your site's layout.

You can see your Snap to Grid tool on the top toolbar in the editor as well.
