How can I let viewers upload their images?

You can use 123FormBuilder to allow your visitors to upload files via the Contact Form! You can read more here.

Will visitors be able to download or print images from my Wix site?

The right click button for galleries is blocked, however visitors can right-click standalone images. The best form of protection against the downloading or printing of images from your site would be for you to watermark your images before uploading them.
 

Can I download an image from Wix?

It is not possible to download files uploaded through the Wix editor, you can load it on the editor and use the print screen button to capture it and edit it on a picture editing program.

    I have an issue when trying to upload images or audio... I click the upload bottom, everything freezes and Internet Explorer does not respond, I have to continually go thru the same process until finally works.

    Any advise?...Thanks!

      Hey,

       

      Trying to upload images using your editor I did not experience issues.

       

      When you upload files to the editor it takes more resources from your device and may cause it to slow down if it's low on memory.

       

      We recommend uploading the images in small bunches, and using the most updated version of your browser to do so.

    Hi, when I try to upload an image I get the error message - Storage service could not be reached? I've never had this problem before could you tell me why this has started happening all of a sudden?

      Hi Dave,

      Please note that I was able to upload an image to your site. Have you tried to upload different images? It might be a problem with the specific image that you have been trying to upload. Please provide us the image you are trying to upload in order for us to assist you. 

       

      Also, I would recommend to clear your browser's cache.

      Hey,

       

      This error usually occurs when you are trying to upload a file that contains a character '&'. In order to be able to upload the file please remove '&' from the file name.

       

      If the issue persists, please let us know and we will upload this image for you.

      Hi,

      Unfortunately the image is cutt off as it is too big for the gallery size.

      In order to solve this issue, you have two options:

       

      1. You can change the image scaling to: Fit to Width.

       

       

      Or, you can resize the images to a smaller size and then upload the images again to the editor.

       

      When adding images to a gallery, please try to load images in the exact size as they will appear in the gallery.

      To check the gallery size, please click on the gallery -> from the drop down menu click on settings -> scroll to the bottom of the settings window and check the size of W and H:

    If you have a look at my website, under fashion, I have deleted a few images and reloaded the rest.The top section(head) of the model has been cut off.How do I realign the image???

    It seems that more people are having the same problem.
    What did I do to fix this?

    Perhaps this can help:
    1) Uninstall Chrome browser
    2) Uninstall Adobe Flash / Shockwave player
    3) clean windows registry
    4) reboot computer

    5) Install Chrome again
    6) Install the latest Flash player from Adobe

    I hope it works ;-)

      Hi,

      I have noticed you are using a prior version of Safari.

      Could you please download the latest version of Safari and see if this issue persists?

    I am in the process to build my web side using WIX. So far, your software worked the best for me and I will futher on build on it if possible. Recent problems: I used my own images and I could implement them on my pages. But, during the last sessions I could not implement any more images; I uploaded them, but the next stepp to get them onto my page didn't work any more. What is the reason? Do I have to upgrade the account due to gig storage shortage? No response was provided by your software.

    can i use my own logo on my home page

    Can you tell me how to use my own logo on my home page. It seems to only give me the option to choose text.

    Yep I have the same proleem ...

    The "Change Image'' button does not appear.
    It seems that the server can not be reached to change and upload images.

      Please go through the steps provided here to make sure that your issue is not a local one. If the steps in the link didn't resolve your issues, please answer the questions in the same link.

      Thank you Gat but that doesn`t help much. Maybe I was not clear enough with my explanation. Therefor I re-post my last recent post here.

      "The "Change Image'' button does not appear. It seems that the server can not be reached to change and upload images. Nothing happened....

      I have followed all recommendations about cleaning the cach memory to using 3 different browsers and 4 other computers running OS w7 and XP. All browsers and computers give the same problems in the editor.'

      The button is visible, you can still press on it but as I said earlier, nothing happens.

      I added a new picture to your homepage, and was able to click the "change image" button. upload another picture and change it. 

      Are you referring to a specific picture on your website, or is this an issue you are experiencing when uploading new images as well?

      Hi Ella,

      Finally it works on my laptop with IE browser by Microsoft.
      But all my other pc`s are not allowed to open a menu to change images or uploading new. I can finish my edit on my laptop so I think there`s no help needed anymore.

    Hi, I've just started re-making my site using a different template. the previous site is not HTML5.
    and the new one uses your new interface.
    when I try to upload images i get the following error:
    "upload faile storage service could not be reached"
    I've rtied using explorer and chrome browsers . I use a win 7 machine.
    please help.

      Hello Eli,

       

      Can you please try using your browser in anonymous/private mode?

      In Chrome, press CTRL + SHIFT + N.

      In Firefox and Internet Explorer, press CTRL + SHIFT + P.

       

      If the problem persists, please try uploading the images in smaller batches/groups - or even one by one.

      I already tried all of the above and i was only trying to upload one tiny jpg photo

      Hi,

      In most cases, upload issues are related to a local misconfiguration of certain settings on your computer, or to your internet connection.

      Please follow these steps in order to troubleshoot the issue you're experiencing:

      1. Try uploading other images. Is this issue isolated to specific images? If so, please email us the problematic images.
      2. Make sure the file name does not contain any special characters.
      3. Clear your browser's cache of "Everything". 
      4. Log out of your Wix account, restart your browser and then log into your Wix account and try again.
      5. Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and either IE or Safari (depending on whether you use a PC or a MAC).
      6. If you connect to the internet through a router, please try connecting directly through the modem.
      7. Try temporarily disabling your internet security programs and try again (i.e. antivirus, firewall, etc.). It is preferable to try this while still connected to the modem directly. This is meant to assist us in determining the source of the problem that you're facing.
      8. Try connecting to Wix from a different computer that uses a different internet connection.

      Finally, if you are still having issues, please contact us. Let us know exactly which steps you tried and what worked or didn't work. Please also include the following information:

      1. What Operating System you're using (i.e. Mac OSX, Windows XP, etc.) - and what version it is.
      2. What browsers you've tried - and include the version of the browser (can generally be found by going to Help > About within the browser).
      3. What version of Flash you have installed on your computer- you can find this at whatismyflash.com
      4. Your Wix username and the name of the site(s) with the issue.
      5. If you receive an error message, please attach the error message that you receive.
      6. Your geographic location and which ISP you use.
      7. Which internet security programs you have installed on your computer (antivirus, firewall, etc.).
