Improving Image Quality

To ensure that you maintain the quality of your photos and decrease loading time to a minimum when uploading to Wix, please follow the guidelines here.

How can I let viewers upload their images?

You can use 123FormBuilder to allow your visitors to upload files via the Contact Form! You can read more here.
You can find information and instructions about our 123FormBuilder app here.

Will visitors be able to download or print images from my Wix site?

The right click button for galleries is blocked, however visitors can right-click standalone images. The best form of protection against the downloading or printing of images from your site would be for you to watermark your images before uploading them.

Can I download an image from Wix?

It is not possible to download files uploaded through the Wix editor, you can load it on the editor and use the print screen button to capture it and edit it on a picture editing program.

    Hi All,

I am a premium user of Wix and I need to host an image directly on my domain on Wix, is this possible?

Because I need to link an image on another site, I used photobucket already but site makes too long links. shortening em with bitly doesn't work as well.

any input would be much appreciated

      Hi Thomas,

Most likely your images size is too small and you will need to upload a larger image size to Wix editor.

You can use the following program to change the image size.

To ensure that you maintain the quality of your photos and decrease loading time to a minimum when uploading to Wix, please follow the guidelines here.

You can find more information about how to upload pictures here.

    Images appear on all pages.

    Hi,

Have had quick look to make sure not duplicating query couldn't find so here goes.

Using Soccer Fanclub Temp main image on Default page layout loads ok although not in Firefox, might be upgrade issue.

However images placed in text area appear on all pages although all pages option in editor not selected.

Have cleared memory and tested in all browsers with same result.

    Any ideas.

    image on another template

    Hi,

I have found an image on another template that I really like and would like to use on my website, however when I copy and paste or save it, and then up load it an error occurs.  I have tried to search for it but have had no luck.  Is there another way I could get access to it.  It is from the home and garden templates and is on the front home page of the garden supplies (e commerce).  It is the clip art pic at the bottom of the page above the footer, with the tree and scarecrow.

    Thanks,

    Jessica

For some reason I can't add images to my site in the editor.. Whenever I click add > image > image/image without frame, nothing happens.. I don't get a pop-up from which I can choose an image or upload my own like in the instruction video.

Furthermore, when I go to the settings of the image that came with the template, and click 'change image', again nothing happens.. Does somebody know what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong??

I am so frustrated at not being able to add new photos to my site.  I have already uploaded three photos and they are in my photos folder.  The problem comes when I try to add a new photo to a specific page.  (I have done this in the past but it has been awhile and I have forgotten how I did it before.)  When I do chose add, then add a photo, I click on a photo and it gets plunked down on my costume page.  I thought in the past, a new photos "naturally" appeared in the upper left hand corner of the costume page of my site and all the other photos got bumped over.  But now the new photo lies on top of some of the other photos and I can't find a blank space to put the new photo.  I can't seem to find another way to add a photo to a specific page.

      Hi violetcrumb,

I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with this feature. When adding an image, it will automatically be placed in the center of the page.

The page that it is added to is always the current page your are on.

Once you add the image, you can then move it around the page to it's desired location. You can also grab one of the four corners of the image to resize it as you wish and maintain the correct aspect ratio.

Please watch the video here to see how I added multiple images to your page.

Feel free to contact us in the future with any further questions you may have.

      All the best, Ellie

I thought that images (not used in galleries) could be downloaded by site visitors?

I would like them to be available for download, but It is not working - any idea what I need to do?

    Thanks

      Hi Ella,

thanks for the reply. The problem I was experiencing was on this page: http://www.contingencyconnection.com/#!repairs/cuy0

When i right click using Google Chrome, It pulled up the box so I could save, but it showed a weird file extension . It did not pull up the 2nd line where I could choose jpeg, etc.

      Hi,

Unfortunately, you cannot change the image's format. However, when downloading images from your Wix site, you can change the files' name when saving it.

To so do, simply delete the existing extension, and replace it with .jpeg, .png etc.

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

Don't hesitate to contact us again,

      Hi,

The picture is edited in a way the ends fade. It is not a feature available in the editor.

Please edit your image in an editing program and only then upload it to your site.

Should you have any further questions, please let us know! Thanks, Customer Solutions
