Is there any way to add a password protected gallery to my website?

Or even be able to hide the gallery and just give my clients a direct link to the gallery?

    I'm a photographer.

      Hi brittanyberneschs,

You can password protect a page on your site and place the gallery on that page. That way only people who have the password will be able to access to.

To password protect a page: From the left side of the Editor, click the Pages icon > click the settings wheel next to the relevant page > from the Settings and SEO window, check the box next to Protect Page > select Add Password Protection > enter the password > click OK.

If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

      - Regards, Carley

    Hi,

I'm building a grid gallery. I would like to have extreme close-ups of the images appear in the grid, then when you click on the closeup, you see the broader image. However, when I select Crop, the images enlarge slightly, but they look pretty terrible. I'd like to be able to crop into them more closely so the gallery page looks as nice as the individual images when they're full size? Is there a way I can enlarge and crop the images on the grid gallery page?

    Thanks!

    Bruce

      Hi,

Your image will show best on your site if you use its uploaded resolution. Which means, if you upload a certain image in its original size, the bigger you make it, the worse the quality will appear.

      * Making the image appear smaller on the site will not decrease its quality.

That said, if you want the images on your site to be enlarged, I suggest you edit them in an editing program and make them bigger. Re-upload the images after editing them and adjust the grid gallery to your taste and needs.

      Hey,

Unfortunately that is not possible at the moment.

The right-click mouse button for galleries is blocked, however visitors can right-click standalone images.

Let us know if you need anything else.

    Hi,

Im having a really hard time with quality image resizing in gallery. Here is my website, http://www.dogecoinball.com/#!comic-strips/c1atx.

Can a zoom option be implemented?, I uploaded the image as a PNG and it makes no difference.  Since the the image is a Comic Strip, zooming in is a must. How can i do this without reducing it's quality?

    Slider Issues

    Hello all,

I have two slider issues that I'd appreciate some wisdom on!

1/ Is it possible for the first image in the slider to pause, for say 3 seconds before the slider animation starts? At the moment, when you enter the site, the animation starts immediately over a blank background and its a bit distracting to see the images flying through when you've only just landed on the site.

2/ I have created a text slider to show testimonials by adding each testimonial as a blog post and using the blog ticker element (thanks to another person on here!) ...but on my site, this is currently 'jolting' is there anything I can do to stop the jolting?

    Thank you,

    Laura

      Hi,

Unfortunately, you can't make a pause before the first image starts. You can make it only in between images. In gallery settings - autoplay.

About the second issue, please, send a screen shot with the problem so we can help.

      Truly yours, Wix Team

      Hello Gizmo,

I'm re-visiting the origin question regarding the Slider as I think it must be possible as it works like this on this wix template:

      http://www.wix.com/website-template/view/html/667?originUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wix.com

At the moment when you click on my site, you see a blank page and then the image whooshes in. I want to see the image first and then the slider start.

      Can you help?

      Hi,

Please note that you can use the "SlideShow" Gallery. As you can see on the screenshot, with the slideshow gallery you can pause between images and also decide for how long each image will appear. In addition, you can set the slideshow gallery to start playing automatically.

For more information about galleries, please click here.

Hope this helps. For further assistance please don't hesitate to contact us again.

I have a page with multiple photo galleries. I would like to arrange the galleries so that the newest ones appear at the top of the page and oldest galleries towards the bottom. The reverse works nicely since the bottom of the page extends if you wish to add an element. It doesn't work so nicely when you wish to add something to the top.

I'm not sure if Wix could insert a page break so that when you wish to move an element to the top of the page, the page simply extends as it currently does with the bottom of the page. This would make it real simple to add newest objects to the top.

Here's the link to my photo gallery page ... http://www.clcafoundation.org/#!photo-galleries/c1gm2

      Hello,

In order to add a gallery at the top of the page while moving the existing galleries downwards, please click one gallery --> Hold the 'Ctrl' key and click another gallery--> repeat this step for all elements within the page --> now, you can move all selected elements together. Now, after moving all elements down, you can add the new gallery at the top of the page.

If this is not what you were referring to, please clarify.

      Hi,

In order to link an image from a gallery, you need to click on the gallery --> organize images --> link to (you need to scroll down to see that option) --> choose page\URL address, etc. --> choose link destination.

If you want us to help you with one specific link, please provide us with the following:

      1. Which website is it on

      2. Which page is it on

      3. Which gallery is it and where is it located

      4. Were you able to link other images?

      5. Screenshot of the issue. How do I take a screen shot?

Should you have any further questions, please let us know! Thanks, Customer Solutions

      Yes there is !

You simply click on the gallery --> organize images --> link to (you're gonna have to scroll down to see that option) --> choose what to link it to --> open in a new window.

Thanks... I’m aware of this. On the regular slideshow I’m able to embed the link into the picture... and choose not to display text... So far on the Strip Slideshow the link seem to only be embedded in a button that pops up on top of the image. The question is can on embed the link into the image on the Strip Slideshow so that I don’t have to use text, or buttons for them to activate the link? In other words just click on the image... Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help! :)

      Hi,

This option is not available at the moment. I would not recommend it either, as your users may click on an images by mistake, and be transferred to an unwanted page.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for contacting us.

Hi, I am using a grid gallery on my page. Is there a way that I can turn off the description from showing up on mouse over but keep it so it still appears when in expand mode?

      Hi,

      Unfortunately, it is not possible.

If you add a title and description to your images, it will appear when hovering over the images.
