Hi, have an intro image when people first visit my site, however I would like to have a few that alternate - is this possible?

      Hi aneylandphillips,

Sure you can, simply add any gallery to your site! :)

To add a gallery to your site: From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Gallery > choose a gallery type from the list.

To add images to your gallery: Click the gallery that you added to your site > click Organize Images > click Add Images.

Note: Some of our galleries have an Autoplay option. To find out if the gallery you have chosen has this option, please click the gallery to select it > click Settings > look for the Autoplay checkbox.

Note: You can also find third-party gallery apps in the Wix App Market. Check out the Flickr Gallery, Galerie Social Gallery or Revolution Slider apps.
For general information about how to add apps as the Galerie Social Gallery or the Revolution Slider, click here

To learn more about galleries, click here or watch the video below:

If there is anything else we can do for you, please let us know!

      Thank you,

    HELLO

I believe what i'm trying to do is link one image to another image - once it expands.

As you can see from my attachments, I would like squares that represent just a section of an entire body of work.

Once that square is clicked - it will expand to show the entire gallery of work from that project (which is basically just another jpg image.)

Attached are screen grabs of what i'm trying to accomplish

    For example:

Home Screen - Image #1 Diva Exchange. Once it's clicked on - i want it to expand to show Diva Exchange Mode

Image #2 - When it's clicked on - I want it to expand to show HSM Expand Mode

    I hope this makes sense.

    Thank you for your help.

    Lisel

    se.

      Hi,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to display the entire gallery in the expand mode.

You can link the image to a gallery but your visitors will be redirected to a different page where you have placed the gallery.

For example: you can link the first image on the TELEVISION page to the page  -> PRINT:

      Thank you so much!

I just want to confirm that I didn't represent the word "gallery"

So there is now way to have one jpg image open up in the expand mode as a new/different jpg image? Is that correct?

      Thanks

      Hi Helen,

Thank you for your detailed question. I checked your site Helen's Creative through the Editor and all elements on the Greetings page seem to be properly aligned and scaled.

I did notice that your Menu is made up of an image and you used buttons for each menu item. Please note that you can add a menu and customize its appearance.

      To add a menu:

From the left side of the Editor, click the Add icon > click Buttons & Menus > click Menu > drag the menu into place and resize it accordingly.

Note: To change how your pages' names appear on the menu, you must change the page names from Pages (click the Page icon from the left side of the Editor).

For more information about Menus, click here.

Additionally, you can move images back and forward by right-clicking your image and selecting Bring Forward or Send Backward from the floating menu.

For more information about Images, click here.

      Hi ,

Could you please clarify what do you mean by work with the whole page?

I can see that you are using our old flash editor. We are using these days a new HTML5 editor that has many new features, new templates and new designs.  This editor is even easier to use then the flash editor, and I want to advise you to check it out and maybe to convert your site to the new editor.

You can find more information on the new HTML5 editor here.

      Waiting for your reply.

I went through the explore page you guys have and found the following page:

      http://www.wix.com/website-template/view/html/1008?originUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.wix.com

you know how you are able to scroll down and see more of their products? well we would like to be able to have more space on our page. I don't know if it makes any sense but our page in comparison to the one on link only covers from the words "Apothecary" to the "Shop Now" link they have. Would we need to upgrade to another package for this feature?

      Thanks in advance!

    • nitzan

Replied by nitzan April 12, 2014

      Hi,

First of all, you don't need to upgrade to any other package. Moreover, I can see that you have two similar packages and I can't understand why, because you have only one web site that is connected to your site. If you aren't intend to purchase another domain, you can cancel one of your packages. You can view your packages in "Manage premium" section on my account.

Now, regarding your issue, you can make your page longer by stretching it from the drag handle on the bottom of the page.

And again, regarding to the HTML5 site, just to let you know that you won't need to add any additional amount of money.

Please let us know if this information helped you.

    Hi,

I'm not really sure If this is the best topic for my question but still...

When I add more pictures and put them in a column everything looks fine after uploading the site to the internet. But when I open the page in Mozilla firefox the position is the same as in editor, the problem is with Opera (or other browsers).. they change the position - all the pictures are put lower than in editor... where's the problem??

      Hi teapavisic,

Wix HTML5 websites are optimized to display properly for the most common browsers and devices used today. However, it's important to note that the various browsers and devices use different rendering engines, and therefore may display minor differences in your website.

Sometimes these minor differences can have a domino effect- for example, a 1% difference in rendering of a font size, can cause a line with only 20 characters to appear 1/5th of a character wider. If your text box doesn't have any extra room for the text, this may cause the last word to wrap to the next line, which will make your text box longer and will 'push' the rest of the components under the page down (By the way, if you experience this issue, it's really easy to solve- you just need to make the text box a little bit wider in your editor to allow for extra space so that the text will still fit, even when it's rendered wider).

The web standard is still evolving, and it's important to keep up with the newest technologies and standards. That's why Wix is at the forefront of HTML5 website development.
We are doing our best to minimize the effects caused by the aforementioned factors, while continuing to provide you with the flexibility to create the most amazing website on the web.

For the time being, however, there is a work around that should help to reduce some of the alignment issues you may be experiencing. By placing misaligned content within a ‘container’, you are securing several different items within a single shape. Items within a ‘container’ are locked into position and so will not appear to move on their own accord and/or knock other items out of alignment.

Use a Box that is set to appear as transparent (by moving the opacity down to 0) as your ‘container’. Place all of the various components within this Box so that they are ‘attached’ to it. Once within their container, these items are essentially grouped together and will not fall out of alignment.

      Best,

      Ariadne - Wix Team

      Hi,

I have looked through your pages, please note that that after placing the whole "list" of pictures in one box and placing the box aligned to the text, seems to be fixing the issue (at list at the browsers i tested on).

Please note that as explained before, different browsers tend to have minor differences in the way they display webpages. I have tested with the most common (chrome, firefox and IE11) and it seems to be aligned.

I could recommend to thou to use our list builder, or a graphic table app for your purpose, it's more efficient and will make it much easier for you to accomplish the result you desire.

      Hello,

Thank you for contacting Wix Support. I am afraid i do not fully understand your first question. Would you like to add a gallery? There is no limit as to the number of galleries you can add per site. For step-by-step instructions please see here.

If that is not the case, please rephrase your question and be more specific.

You can find out the exact URL of every page  of your site that has the gallery of your client by accessing the sitemap.

Every Wix creation has an XML sitemap that assists in getting content recognized by search engines (and Google Analytics). The sitemap is dynamically generated within our server and, therefore, stays up to date with any pages that you add or remove from your site.

To view your sitemap, add sitemap.xml to the end of your domain name. Example: mydomainname.com/sitemap.xml

    Hi,

I have the same problem as ikyryl. How can we make ONE blogpost (picture post), and add several pictures to it. So not a gallery, because that is indeed not a solution since it doesnt go together with a blogpost.

What we need is a way to make ONE blogpost with several pictures underneath eachother.

    Is this possible?
