When I upload images to wix (they aren't on my site yet) they look darker than the original. How do I fix this issue.

"Storage Service Could Not be Reached"

I'm trying to upload an image that is a 2.2mb jpg, but it keeps failing and giving me the message "Storage Service Could Not be Reached". I've successfully uploaded larger files and other jpgs since, so it's not that my storage is full.

Any ideas?? This is kinda urgent! And it apparently takes weeks to talk to a person at Wix!

This is not a file size problem and I am annoyed that it was merged with this topic. I've uploaded larger files and the file that's failing to upload is only 2.2mb far under the allowed 10mb. Please, someone answer this question!

    file size too large

I am trying to upload a pdf to my page but it is saying the file is too large. Besides lowering the file size, is there anything else I can do?

Please note that the file size limit is 10 MB and it is not possible to upload a file that exceeds this limit. However, it is possible to upload larger files using the Google Drive or Dropbox Apps.

I hope that you found this information helpful. If you have any further questions, you are welcome to contact us again.

      - Regards, Carley

      Thank you for your feedback.

If you would like to upload large files you can use Google Drive or the Dropbox app.

Another option is to host them externally and use the HTML app to embed them to your site or provide a direct link.

Let us know should you require any further assistance.

I want to get the size of my current sight, because I want to duplicate it with different content and URL. Can you tell me how many GBs I am currently using on my premium Site?

I've been using WIX for almost two years.  I've uploaded a few hundred images that I originally shot in j-peg; last summer I started shooting exclusively in RAW and have converted them to j-peg in post.  I have ZERO problems posting these images to my Facebook page or giving them to clients.  When I print them out they look perfect.  However, when I upload them to your site (in a size range of anywhere from 2.5mb to 9.7mb) they appear incredibly grainy (or perhaps noisy) and there seems to be no reason for it. They render the images unusable and I haven't been able to update any galleries for awhile now.

I'm considering abandoning you and finding another hosting site if this can't be fixed easily and quickly.

    What's going on?

For the best quality image, upload your image to the Wix Editor in the exact size that it will be viewed. Changing the size of the image within the Wix Editor may reduce the quality of your image.

To ensure that you maintain the quality of your photos and decrease loading time to a minimum when uploading to Wix, please follow the guidelines here.

You can find more information about how to upload pictures here.

Hello, I am trying to add a logo to one of my sites and I want the background of the image I'm adding to be transparent so that the background of the website itself show instead, I have saved it in .png file format and tried several different settings. I've tried using 'Save for web' in both Iluustrator and Photoshop, but when I upload the image and add it to the page it still ends up having a white background!

I've done this before on one of my other sites and then it worked just fine, no background in the image itself just the foreground. How come this doesnt seem to work anymore or is there something I've missed or something I need to do differently?

Please make sure that the image box you're displaying the image on has no border, if the image box has a border then it'll create a white background for the missing background.

I have uploaded several images into  various folders and they look okay, however when I view them on the welcome animated grid they are cropped and/or foreshortened. How do I make them appear suitable in the welcome gallery?

      The size limits are:
      Pics: 10MB/.jpg, .png, and .gif
      Docs: 10MB/files
      Music: 10MB/.mp3

Unfortunately, there is no way of increasing them.

Best regards, Miki- Wix Support Team
