For my homepage layout, if I want my picture to go over the boundary lines, will the picture be cut off on different size screens?

      Hi roddyrodd213,

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

The gridlines you are referring to appear inside your Editor to help you build your site's layout correctly. They do not affect the way your website is seen on other screens. For more information about the Wix gridlines, please click here.

So, everything will fit well on 17" monitor as it would on a 24" monitor?

As long as you edit your site in the default browser zoom ( press Ctrl + 0 ) and keep the content within the Gridlines, yes.

Thank you for your quick response, but I forgot to mention the site name.  The site name is 'Chevra Kadisha'.  I have tried to do what you suggested, but the space remains.  It seems to be uniform across all pages and ignores any input via the "settings" panel.

    Kind regards

      Hi Frank,

You can move the footer further up by using the drag handle. It is located at the top of the footer:

Hi Ella, I did as you instructed, but to no avail.  I checked every page to make sure no element from the footer intrudes into the page.  Everything looks good in Editor, but as soon as I preview, the space appears again.  It is not a big deal and I can live with it, but it is still very annoying.

      Your help will be appreciated

    Hi,

I have only recently begun to experiment with your sites.  I too have an issue with the 5 cm gap between page end and the footer.  I tried to reset the Y factor to zero as you suggested, but no success - it keeps bouncing back to 299.

I have searched for any hidden elements, but without success.

    Your advice would be appreciated.

    Kind regards

Please choose the Footer, click on the Drag handle and drag it up.

If after doing so the problem persists, please let us know.

      Hi,

The reason you are having this issue is because your footer is set to "Fixed position". To resolve this issue, simply from the editor click on the footer-->uncheck the box next to "Fixed position" and publish your site.

If you have any further questions, please let us know.

      Hi,

I checked your site: johndwalden.wix.com/linarespainting and I saw you have not added any content to the page area within your Home page.

Please note: The minimum length of your page is: 500 px, therefor you will not be able to resize the white gap.

      Hey,

Please note that the footer is located at the bottom of your page as you can see in the screenshot below:

You can simply use the drag handle at the top of the footer to drag it to the middle of the page.

Your site consists of 3 parts:

      1. Header-  A Header is the area of your website that appears across the top of your site and appears throughout all of your pages. The Header may contain your site title, company logo and your site menu.
      2. Pages- Your pages contain all  of the content within your site and you may have many.
      3. Footer - A Footer is the area of your website that appears across the bottom of your site and appears throughout all of your pages.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

      Thanks,

      Hi Randi,

In order to get rid of the blank bar that comes up when you place your mouse over the gallery, you need to change the skin.

Click on the gallery --> change style --> personalize this gallery --> change skin.

I recommend you choose the skin showed in the screenshot below: it's on the first set of skins, on the top right. I believe it suits your needs best.

Should you have any further questions, please let us know! Thanks, Customer Solutions

      Hi!

Please note: you have set the content of your site in the header. The gap between the bottom and the content is your page that cannot be deleted.

To fix it you just need to move the content to your page.

For more information about a site structure please click here.

      Thanks!

      Hi,

I checked your site and I saw your site content is not placed on the right area.

There is content between the header and your site pages.

      For example:

Please note: you have not placed your pages within the page border of your site.

Your site consist of 3 parts:

      1. Header-  A Header is the area of your website that appears across the top of your site and appears throughout all of your pages. The Header may contain your site title, company logo and your site menu.

      2. Pages- Your pages contain all  of the content within your site and you may have many. You can layer different elements by clicking the 'Bring forward' or 'Send backward'  icons in the pop-up that appears when clicking an element.

      3. Footer - A Footer is the area of your website that appears across the bottom of your site and appears throughout all of your pages

To add a page: From the left side of the Editor, click the Pages icon > from the bottom right of Pages, click Add Page > under Page Layouts, choose a layout > under Name Your Page, enter the page name > click OK.

For more information on organizing your pages, click here or check out our interactive site about header, page and footer (simply click on the image below):

      Dina-Wix Team.

We provide yellow dotted gridlines which show these borders, they appear automatically when opening the editor. You can disable them by clicking on the gridlines icon at the top right of the editor.

I'm sorry but I have moved everything out of this area between the header and the page and made all content sit within the borders but the gap is still there. Is there a way that you can fix it for me, or tell me exactly what else I need to move to get rid of it?

      Thank you

Replied by Dean June 5, 2014

      Hey,

Going over your editor I can see the content is still placed in the header, please remove it to the body section of your site, and if there are still issues we will continue amending the site.

Don't forget to save the changes when you're done.

As illustrated below, the content marked in yellow should be in the pink area.

Thank you for the patience and cooperation.

All the best, Dean - Wix Team

      Hi,

I have now moved all the content down to the body section again (I tried this several times yesterday), but as you can see there is still a big gap, but the gap is now between the header and the content.

I have saved it as it is but not published.

Can you please rectify this for me as I'm really not sure what else to try now!

Thank you, I appreciate your help.
