To add elements to the header, drag and drop the element onto the header. The Show on all pages box will be checked automatically.

To add elements to the footer, click and drag the element to the bottom of the page, click the blue Move to Footer button that appears. The element will appear in the footer of all pages.

    Lina,

When you add a text box, click on the box and you will see an option to check a box next to the words "Show on all pages". Once you do that, you can drag the text box to the footer. Hope this helps!

    Hi there,

I am not able to add text to my footer. I need to add my copyrights statement and there seems to be no option of adding text in my editor page footer. I tried the alternative of adding a text box to the middle of the page and then dragging it to the footer but that messed up the entire layout and the footer kept going down.

    Please help!

    Lina

I want to add a graphic element .png image with transparent background to selected pages (in the header) of my site.  Element shows up beautifully right until I click the "show on all pages" box.  Once I click that, it disappears.  I've tried different images, etc., and every time I de-select the show on all pages box each image disappears...even the stock images provided by Wix when you add a image.  Any thoughts will be most appreciated.

      Hey,

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties.

This might be happening because the element is sitting behind other elements. To access the element, click the element, then click the Bring forward icon from the pop-up until the element is on top of all of the other elements. You should then be able to move, edit or delete the element.

Alternately, if you cannot click the element, click on the element that is on top of the element you are trying to access and click the  Send backward icon to send that element behind the element that you are trying to access.

Note that if you have an element in your header and uncheck "Show on all pages", the element might be moved behind the element causing it to appear inaccessible.

To access the element, move the header backwards as described above or use Ctrl + M to toggle through the elements on your page until the element is selected.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

      Hey,

I have deleted the line for you.

      Hi,

Yes! You can add header codes to the <head> section of your site for verification or authorship approval. Header code supported services include Google Webmaster toolsBing Webmaster ToolsTwitter CardsPinterest VerificationAlexa site owner claim, and more!

To add header codes to your site from the editor, click 'Settings' > 'SEO (Google)' > 'Advanced SEO Settings', paste the code, and click 'Apply'.

The code should follow this format:

      <meta name='google-site-verification' content='XXXX' />

      Do not add the following:

      - Free text
      - Title, Description or Keywords Meta Tags
      -
       Google Analytics Code
      - Scripts (<script>)
      - Robots (<meta name="robots" ... >)

*Make sure to publish your site and complete the verification process with the third party service.*

If the code was entered in the correct format and you received an error, please post the code below.

All that you have to do is click in your website on the 'pages section'. That is the middle section of the site, between the header and footer. Once it is clicked and marked a box will open on the left titled 'Pages'. On the bottom of it it has X and Y coordinations, change the Y to a lower value, it will remove the gap.
