To add elements to the header, drag and drop the element onto the header. The Show on all pages box will be checked automatically.

To add elements to the footer, click and drag the element to the bottom of the page, click the blue Move to Footer button that appears. The element will appear in the footer of all pages.

Click the "+" on the left menu and choose "Image". Then just upload your logo and position/size it where ever you want it to appear. Does that help?

      Hi,

As written in the 'Best Reply' above, to add elements to the header, drag and drop the element onto the header. The Show on all pages box will be checked automatically.

This is correct both for text boxes and for images (and any other element).

To add an image to your site, click on the Add icon from the editor, and selsct "Image".

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Drag and drop from where? the images section won't let me drag it after it has been uploaded, and I can't drag it from my desktop.

      I am not understanding.

      Thank you.

      Hi,

      I apologize for the misunderstanding.

Once you've added an element to your site, you can select it and move it around the page on the editor.

Please select the element you would like to add to the header, and drag it into the header. You will see the header highlighted in an orange tone.

Should you have any further questions, please let us know!

      Ella

This is not what I am experiencing. I will attach a screen shot. I have an image that I have uploaded, it is my logo. As soon as I open the "add image" feature to access the image I cannot drag it into the header, that window is blocking the header. It won't let me just drag it onto the page. I cannot move the window. If I try adding the image to any page it ends up on my grid of images and I cannot drag it into the orange highlighted header.

      Thanks.

      Hi,

To drag the element back into the page make sure to click on the element and unselect the "show on all pages" box.  The element will then pop out of the header or footer.

We are here should you require further assistance.

      Many thanks, Barrios

      Hello A.J.

Thank you for contacting Wix support.

I have made several changes to your site and saved.

Often, an element will be placed behind or in front of another element. Because of this, you might have difficulty selecting or deleting a specific element. You can solve this by bringing the element forward.

To bring an element forward: Click the element > from the pop-up menu, click the Bring forward icon. You will, then, be able to move, edit or delete the element.

Alternately, if you are unable to click the element to select it, click the element in front of it > click the Send backward icon to send that element behind the element that you are trying to access.

Note: For an element in your header, when unchecking the Show on all pages box, the element might move behind the header causing it to appear inaccessible. To access the element, move the header backwards as described above or use Ctrl + M to toggle through the elements on your page until the element is selected.

Feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance.

      Kind regards, Amit

      Hi Tony,y

Thank you for contacting Wix Support regarding this issue.

I visited your site uncletony via the editor and found that your actual footer is located under the image and copyright text.

To eliminate the space between the page content and the footer: Follow the instructions in the best reply above to place the image and text within the footer and the drag the footer up using the drag handle (the small blue arrow at the top of the footer).

If the problem is in a different site, please clarify to which of your sites you are referring.

We are here should you require any further assistance.

Have a great day! Nitzan - Wix Support Team

      Hi,

I can see The strip at the top of your page is not attached to your Header. You will need to enlarge the Header and add the strip and the menu to the header.

To attach an element to the header, drag the element until you see the "Attach to Header" mark.

To enlarge the header, click on the header and use the Stretch Handle.

Please contact us should you require further assistance.

WIX has made some HORRIFIC change so I can no longer easily or effectively edit my website

When I ADD anything to my site it automatically makes it on EVERY PAGE and then makes it disappear and I can't find it without deleting elements in front of it.

And now I get a block tha has says ATTACH TO HEADER and I can't edit anything inside it... NO BUTTONS WORK AND I have to close the  program down every time this happens to make it work again

THIS is very frustrating and I am beginning to hate using this program

      Hi,

      I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

The reason for that is because your site is built almost entirely in the header.

In order to resolve this issue you need to adjust your site to fit between the gridlines.

Another reason why the gridline boundaries are so important is by creating your site in them it assures your site would look fully throughout the different browsers and devices.

The header and the footer should contain items you want seen throughout all pages while the page area contains the items for a specific page.

Here are some topics that may be useful for you:

      What are gridlines?

      What is a header?

      What is a footer?
