How do I access the background of my website template

    Hi there,

I have already re-created my website through WIX & published it... The feedback is amazing & we love it.  I was wondering if there is any way to access the background template for my website.  I am in the process of creating brochures & business cards & it would be great to align these cards with the same background image template.  Is this possible?
    Thanks in advance,

      Hi Fanny,

Thank you, but this does not help as I am actually asking a different question to the standard ones here.  I know how to change backgrounds etc. through the editor, what I am asking is.  I have used a set template image - fading beehive type background & I would like to access this background image for creating my business card & brochure etc.
      Is this possible?

Can you have a different background for each page (Home, About, Images, etc.) of a site?

It is not possible to change the "Site" background for each page. The site background will be the same for all pages. You can vote for this feature here.

Hi, I've accidentally put an image onto my background and it's on every page - I can't select it to bring it forward or delete it or anything and I can't even hide it with a different background design because that just goes behind it. Can anyone suggest how I can get rid of it?

    Thanks, Carly

Please use ctrl+m to select every element on your site one by one.

When you reach to select the relevant image press "delete" on your keyboard.

If you have a problem deleting it, please send us a screenshot of the image you want to remove and we will do it for you.

To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

Can you please tell me what is a good resolution size for an image background, as i want to upload a full screen background that is not pixelated.

1200x900 would be a good start but higher resolutions are also possible, there is no right and wrong here and t really depends on the image itself, try uploading an image, upload an image you have, see if it is large enough and clear enough.

I've set my background for my website to be a specific picture and I set it to "Fit." For some reason, whenever you immediately click on the website, the picture shows up for a second much smaller and then expands. How can I fix this?

I tried setting it to "Normal" and then resizing the image in photoshop so that it covers the entire screen but for some reason, no matter how wide I make it, there are always two thin strips on both sides.

    The website is www.animalyearsmusic.com.

I was trying to get started and wanted to change back rounds and photos by uploading my own.  When I select the option to do this the search scroll comes on and just spins forever.  I've already wasted valuable time trying to complete this seemingly EASY task that a four year old should have been able to do.

    To Wix help team:

I have an image that I am using for the background of my site. Although for each of the six pages, the photo moves slightly to a different position when you move to the next page.  Can you help with this issue?

    Thank you,

      Hi Chara,

This is occurring because of how you have set your background settings.

Try removing the Scroll background option and see if this issue is now resolved.

You can also add your image to a strip and set it to show on all pages to gain a similar effect.

If you require any further assistance, feel free to contact us again.

Hi, this is not an answer to my question. If I change my background color to white I still have grey areas on both sides:

The screenshot you've taken is of the header section of your website. Please note that backgrounds for headers are set independently, through the Header Change Style option.

You may want to move the content of your website that is under the menu to the Pages section, or alternatively change the background color of your header as described above.

Please let us know if that works for you.
