In order to edit the text please click on the button -> Button Settings and edit the Button Text.
As for the document issue - when you click on "Document", what do you see? Does a popup window opens?
Please provide us with a screen shot of the problem. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, please use this link.
To upload the screenshot, simply click on the "Upload" button and follow the steps.

When I attempt to link a document to a button, I am not given the option to attach a document from my computer. Additionally, I don't see where to edit the text on the button so that it doesn't say "MY BUTTON" UGH~!

It is possible that there is an element that is covering your image (Like a text or a box) and that you linked it instead.
Could you please tell us which image is causing this problem and to which page are you trying to link it?Daniel - Wix support team

Are you referring to the button : Forum on within your main menu?
I have visited your site: thaihawksmaster.com , this link works perfectly from my end.
I clicked around the text ' Forum ' and the site: http://www.thaihawkforum.com/ opened in a new window.
I saw you placed a text box on the menu button in order to create an external link.
You can also add the button next to your main menu buttons for example next to the button :
' Contact '.
The current menu button which is placed under the ' Forum ' text box you can hide so it will no appear on the menu.
You can hide your pages from the navigation menu by going to the Page Settings section of your Editor. Your site visitors will be unable to access hidden pages unless you link to them.
To hide your page follow these instructions or check out the video below:
1. From the left toolbar, click the Pages icon to open the Page Manager.
2. Next to your page, click the settings icon.
3. In the Page Settings window, checkmark the box next to Hide from the menu.
4. Click Done.
Your page is hidden from your menu.
