I am trying to change the text on my buttons - or do anything with them! I added a button from the 'Apps' however, when I click on the button no field to change the text anywhere.
It only comes up with 'Settings' and 'Change style'. I have logged out and back in, shut down and restarted my computer, clicked just about everything there is to click and hunted on all your Help pages... I'm a bit frustrated :(
I have tried in both my browsers - IE9 and Firefox 16.0.1

I am trying to change the text on my buttons. Whenever I bring up the settings, there is no field to change the text, only a text alignment option and 'change style' button. I am not sure if this is an issue with my browser or something on your end.

Hi Katja ,
Thank you for contacting Wix Support.
I noticed that you are currently using the OPERA9 Browser, which is not compatible with Wix. This may be the cause of the issue.
Wix is compatible with Internet Explorer (version 9 and above), Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
With the new HTML editor we give you option to use the advanced HTML5 technology which entails new capabilities and solutions for your site as well as comprehensive support for mobile devices. However, HTML5 is still a relatively new technology and it not yet fully supported by all browsers. These browsers will catch up with this technology, but to make sure things run smoothly, please make sure to update all your browsers to the most recent versions. You can easily check how well your current browser supports HTML5 here.
To download the latest Google Chrome browser please click here
To download the latest Firefox browser please click here
To download the latest Safari browser please click here
To download the latest Internet Explorer browser please click hereYou can also check out this site to see a detailed look at which browsers are better optimized for HTML5.
Note: Microsoft does not support IE9 on Windows XP. If you're using Windows XP, we suggest you use another browser. We hope Microsoft will provide a solution for supporting HTML5 in the Windows XP Operating System soon.
If you require further assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

I am having a problem with changing the size of the menu buttons. Since march when i started my page all was o.k. , but then 2-3 months earlier (around june) the button menu changed by itself and got bigger and I can not make it more narrow. Like its locked in a way... Even if i erase it and make it from the start i can not make it slimmer.

I am not sure which button you are referring to. Are you talking about the 'The breads' menu button?
To change this you need to change the name of your page (By clicking on Pages > The breads > Click on the cog button to open the settings menu and change the page's name)Daniel - Wix support team

A solution for this would be to link the text to the same page that the button is linked to.
To add a link in your document, please follow these steps:
1. Choose the object, picture, button that you want.
2. Simply select it and choose the "Link to" option from the Settings window.
3. Fill in the space with your external URL and click on the OK button.
You can find more information about linking here.Ron, Wix Team
