    Hi,

I have added a dropdown menu to my site on the Portfolio Page but the Portfolio page that I have applied this to has dropped down below my 'about' page and I can find no way to change this so that the pages all align along the top as before which is the way I want it!!

    Advice  / Help

    Thanks

      Hi martinmccln,

The Portfolio page is currently arranged as a sub-page of the About page. You can easily manage which pages appear as main pages and which appear as sub-pages from the "Pages" section of your Editor.

On the left side of the Editor, please click the Pages icon. When a page has been made into a sub-page, it will appear slightly indented to the right, as you can see, your Porfolio page is. To change this, simply bring your mouse over the grey square next to the page name (as can be seen in the screen shot below) and drag it up or down.

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

      - Regards, Carley

      Hey,

There is no deliberate way to do this at the moment, however you can use the HTML App.

With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

For more information check out the tutorial below, or you can click here.

*Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App via the link above before using this.

I'm right there with snailwebteam's querstion:

"I've figured out adding buttons easily.

It seems as though my website is stuck with only one navigation menu. I can throw it in the header and make it display on all pages, that's good.

What I want is to create a second smaller menu with different content than my default navigation menu. I can't seem to find the right option to make that happen. I suppose I could work around this using adjacent buttons, but it seems simpler to have multiple menus - especially if I want dropdowns. Where is the option that I am not able to find?"

I would like to add an additional menu with different pages than my current menu.  I know how to work with the buttons just fine but want a menu of pages.  There is nothing anywhere in the support videos and pages about this.  Please let us know how to create this.

      Currently this option isn't possible.

At the moment you can only achieve a similar result by adding one menu, and creating another dummy menu using buttons arranged in a row.

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

I am looking to include multiple menus on a given page. For example, I would like the navigation menu in my header, and a secondary page-specific menu that has anchor links to sections of that page, or possibly some related pages within my website.

Is it possible to have more than one menu, each with different navigation options?

      Hey,

      You can use buttons.

Add a button to your site from the Buttons & Menus section of the Add list and link it to an external site, a page from your site, a document or an email address.

      To add a button:

      1. From the left in the Editor, click the Add icon.
      2. From the Add list, click Buttons & Menus. Click one of the button options.
      3. From the Button Settings window, under Button Text, type a name for your button.
      4. Under Link to, click the field.
      5. From the Link Settings window that opens, click your Link type: Web Address, Page, Email or Document and add your link.
      6. From the Link Settings window, click Done.
      7. Click outside of the button to close the Button Settings window.

A button is added to your site.

Note: To return to Add , click Back to Add from the top of the window. To close Add, click X from the top right.

For more information about buttons click here.

I am sorry if I misled you.

Currently it is not possible to add two menus.

The only option at the moments is using buttons.

      I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hello, I set up my Wix site with page titles across the top with corresponding subpages in a drop down format. I would like to make it so that some of the words in my navigation bar just house a drop down menu - without a page for the topic itself. What is the best way to do this?

      Hi,

We apologize for the inconvenience, currently there exists no option of eliminating the links for pages that appear in the main menu and have a drop down menu attached to them.

We are aware of the problem, you can see the following wishlist thread regarding it, and add your response if you wish.

How do I make it to where viewers can navigate my pages?

In editor in the upper left corner, it allows me to select and make multiple pages. However, outside of editor when I view my site, that is not visible. How can people navigate my site if there is no button to allow them to navigate it? Why are my pages not visible? Help!

You have set 3 of your pages: "Resume", "Core Competencies", "Portfolio" as subpages of "Kimberly L. Lewis", which functions as your homepage. In order to show all the pages on your menu, you need to set those pages as main pages by sliding the [+] icon to the left on Page section of Editor.
For detailed information, please click HERE.
Please also make sure to set your menu for "Show in all pages".
To learn more about this feature, please click HERE.

Thank you!  I made the changes you suggested, and have now figured out how to create my menu  However, two extra MY BUTTONS are on my page, and I cannot find anywhere how to remove them.  Every time I click on then, the header/edit page comes up and there doesn't seem to be an option to remove them.  Also, how do I center my current menu?  It appears that because it is in the header, it will only let me edit the header, not the menu.  Lastly, now that the menu is on the home page, my headers and the menus are not appearing on my other pages.  How do I do that?  Thanks for your quick response.

      Hey,

This issue occurs when an element in your header is not set to "Show on all pages", these elements will usually be behind the header.

To reach them simply select your header and click the "send backward" option in the pop up menu until your elements are selectable:

      This should resolve your difficulties.
