Yes! You can use your Wordpress blog with Wix by connecting your blog to a subdomain (ex: blog.yourdomain.com). For information about connecting your blog to a subdomain, please visit the Wordpress page here and follow the instructions.

If you would like to add a blog directly to your Wix site, you can use the Wix Blog!

We also have two blog apps available for you to use: Tumblr Feed and Blogger Feed. You can find these apps in the Wix App Market.

bdelvingt. I came accross the same problem.

I have copied the HTML code in to the Wix HTML Widget and got the same message.

However, so far it worked for me, without the complete code and without breaking down the code.

The only thing you might wanna do is enable the scrollbar within your HTML widget settings.

I guess you have to be a little creative in the Wix editor to make it look neat.

    Hope this helps

Hey Blak, thanks for your help, it all looked pretty well except that when I do as you recommend i get an error message while pasting the html code, saying it's too long.... then the wordpress blog does not appear as part of the html code hasn't been pasted... any clue on how to solve this? I guess it's possible to break it down in various html widget elements on the wix webpage but how do you do this in a neat way?

It is very very very simple, okay right open your wordpress or any other blog made in html coding... press control+u to get the coded reader pop up for the site then press select all copy the coding go to you wix site then add html widget paste the coding. bam there you go.

you may need to resize the widget to the view size you need and also work through the coding so the wordpress blog is viewed at the size you need but that is pretty much it

    good luck :-)

It isn't possible to add a CNAME to www.mydomain.com/blog in your Wix site.

The only option for adding the blog to your site is using sub-domains.

Meaning your blog's address will look like this: www.blog.yoursite.com .

You can find more info on subdomains here.

Ok, maybe I need to clarify.  I had a wordpress.org blog, which was hosted off my old site.  The instructions above are for a wordpress.com blog, which is hosted off the wordpress site.  The problem is, my blog still exists as I've checked my FTP files on my original domain host and it's still there, also my RSS feed is still showing properly on my wix site.  The problem is, wix won't let people get to the blog.  That's the issue I am facing, and it won't let me CNAME point to http://www.mydomain.com/blog.

    Connecting a wordpress subdomain

Can we dig a little deeper into this?  On my old host I had a wordpress blog connected at the end, so the address read, http://www.mydomain.com/blog.  Unbeknownst to me, connecting my wix site made the blog inaccessible.  I can't even get to the login page anymore.  I am at a loss for what to do.  I tried to follow the instructions and do a subdomain blog that would lead me to the old blog, but the problem is www.mydomain.com is my Wix site, so it's just running around in circles.  Could someone help me rescue my blog please?  It's the most important part of my site! :-(
