Yes! You can use your Wordpress blog with Wix by connecting your blog to a subdomain (ex: blog.yourdomain.com). For information about connecting your blog to a subdomain, please visit the Wordpress page here and follow the instructions.

If you would like to add a blog directly to your Wix site, you can use the Wix Blog!

We also have two blog apps available for you to use: Tumblr Feed and Blogger Feed. You can find these apps in the Wix App Market.

exporting old Wordpres blog posts to a wix site

Hello, I am looking to change over to a Wix site with a new domain from my old wordpress blog: http://jessaspring.wordpress.com/ and I am wondering if there is anyway I can export all of those old blog posts over to a new site? Would really love a fresh, more professional look.

Please elaborate and clarify what you would like to do so we can better assist you.

You can either create a subdomain and link it to your site, or creating a Wix blog; but another option may be showing your Wordpress blog on one of your site's pages by using an iFrame, where your blog would be embedded in your site and appear in some sort of a "window" to the original Wordpress blog URL.

With the HTML App you can test and add your own HTML code to your Wix site.

For more information check out the tutorial below, or you can click here.

*Take a minute to read through the Known Issues & Limitations of the HTML iFrame/Embed App via the link above before using this.

Please let us know should you need any further help.

      All the best, Or

I hope I'm not asking the same thing too many times, but from all the answers I've gathered i still have the doubt:

If you want to add your Wordpress.org blog as a tab/page to your already-created-and-with-own-domain Wix website... do you have to

    1.Create it as a subdomain

    2. Put it as a regular URL link to the tab in the Menu you have in your Wix website (in which case it will totally redirect to a new site, and not picture it as if hosted int he same website)

3.Do both? and if so, which one goes first?

I'm just trying to find the best way for having my blog on my Wix, since the blog on Wordpress allows for different user collaboration with passwords and etc.

I would like to find the best way for it to look as if the blog is hosted on my website (and not like a different page altogether).

    Thanks!!! :)

Connecting a wordpress subdomain to wix

I would like some help. I'm trying but I get lost. It seems like I'm missing something. I would like to have WP in my Wix site but cannot manage to incorporate the blog page.

Is Wordpress installed on a subdomain compatible with Wix

I have a wix site and wordpress installed on a subdomain on my server. When I visit the link - blog.mydomain.com - my Wordpress site does not appear. Instead I receive a message from Wix asking if I am trying to connect my site with Wix. I also tried installing my blog on a directory on my server - mydomain.com/blog - but again the Wordpress blog was not visible. This pertains to Wordpress.org installation on the server, and not a Wordpress.com blog. Please assist.

      Hi Mascha,

Thanks. The above link refers to wordpress.com - my Wordpress blog is installed on my server as stated, and is not hosted by Wordpress. Would hosting my Wordpress blog on a separate server ensure that the blog is visible and is not blocked in any way by Wix?

You cannot install any CMS on WIX, as we do only host WIX sites.

We are sorry for the inconvenience. You can however, use the blog option as instructed above.

      Best, Ritti

Would it still be problematic if we hosted our CMS on a subdomain on a separate server?

You can host your CMS services on another web host.

Please check the requirements of this service prior to hosting it elsewhere:

Ex: what domain records does it require? if needed, how it is integrated to a website?

      Please let us know,

You say "You can use your Wordpress blog with Wix by connecting your blog to a subdomain (ex: blog.yourdomain.com)."  I understand how to connect my Wordpress blog to a subdomain of my Wix domain. But what do I do then? How do I get it into my Wix site?

How to add my wix website code to the existing domain registration supplier

    To Whom it may concern,

I have created a website by using wix.com,

However, I would like to transfer my existing domain registration on wordpress.com to my new wix website.

Here is the code of the existing supplier ,

    MX <pref> <host>

    TXT <text>

    CNAME <subdomain> <host>

    A <subdomain> <IP>

    SRV <_service._protocol> <priority> <weight> <port> <domain>

This is also the Sample records they give,

    TXT v=spf1 include:mail.example.com ~all

    A webmail

    SRV _xmpp-client._tcp 10 10 5269 example.com.

Please kindly suggest how to update as soon as possible

      Hi Myra,

You can currently transfer only domains with the following extensions: .com, .org, .net, .biz. and .info.

You can transfer your domain from another registrar to your Wix account. To transfer your domain, verify that at least 60 days have passed since your registered or last transferred your domain and make sure that your domain is unlocked.

For more information please click here.

    Hi Wix

We LOVE our new website with you but are struggling with the blog feature. We are used to being able to upload lots and lots of photo's - but your blog facility only allows one photo! Anything that can be done before we move our blog to Wordpress?
    Many thanks
