An MX record, or mail exchange record, is used to map a domain name to a list of message transfer agents for that domain. You can add or update MX records from the Domains page of your Wix account.

 

To add or update MX records: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Domains > under My Domains, next to the relevant domain, click Manage.

At the bottom of Domain Summary, next to Email (MX Records):, click Add > select I have an email provider > from the drop down menu, choose Other > add or update the MX records > click Save.

 

Note: An MX record is an address, not an IP number. An example of an MX record is: mx1.biz.mail.yahoo.com

 

Note: Use lowercase letters only when entering your MX records.

 

Note: If your domain is connected to your Wix site via Pointing, your domain host is in control of your MX records.

    changing my mx records

    Hi there,

     

    could you please help me change over my mx records. crazy domains (australia) have given me the following:

     

    mx record

    mail.iktbbookkeeping.com

     

    a record

    163.47.72.161

     

    i have followed the instructions from you website but i am not sure if i have done this correctly as the first time i attempted it i got the error message "invalid mail server".

    regarding www.agassistinternational.com.au

    Recieved the following from crazy domains

    Please contact WIX.COM and please tell them to point your domain MX Record tomail.peter@progressivepower.com.au. Please also make sure they point themail.peter@progressivepower.com.au to the IP Address 103.226.222.194. Once done, rest assured your emails will be connected again to Crazy Domains and it should be working fine already

    Could you update my MX Records please?

    mx0.123-reg.co.uk. -> priority 10
    mx1.123-reg.co.uk. -> priority 20

      Please note that only the first two records are MX records, all the other are Cname records.

      I have added all of them your domain as per your request.

      The changes may take up to 72 hours to take effect.

    As these are business emails we need to access them asap. Please advise what to do.

      Hi,

      If more than 72 hours passed since the MX record update, you should contact your email host and ask them again for the records as we can only set the details we get from you in our system.

      I just got also the A record. Please update accordingly

      Besides the MX record [@ MX mail.cuerpo.ae. 5], you will need to have the following added by Wix:

      mail A 184.170.240.140
      and
      webmail A 184.170.240.140 :

    Dear Wix,

    I have just connected my nameservers to Wix. I am trying to update the MX records and A records.

    This is the details from my host:

    "Please note that you can specify "rabbit.localhost.sg" or "103.23.76.105" as the MX record."

    Can you help to check my printscreen that I have done them correctly. Do not wish for the emails not to work.

      Hi... I think there is some problem...

      After I changed the above.. when I try to access the webmail and my cpanel via the previous link.. the link opens up to my www.b-e.com.sg website..

      Or where do I access my emails now?

      Hello, I am able to send email on my phone as I  have set up in my phone

      However in the past I used to access email in the browser.

      http://b-e.com.sg/cpanel

      http://b-e.com.sg/webmail

      Now this 2 links open up to my website www.b-e.com.sg

      Pls advise if there is anything I have done wrongly.

      Or how can I access emails on browser now.

      Hi.. Apparently the email seems to work..

      But I used to access the email from a web browser through this link

      http://b-e.com.sg/webmail

      Now when I type it, it opens up to my website www.b-e.com.sg

       

      Pls advise where or how do I access my email from web browser. or if there is anything I have done incorrectly.

    My provider is onlydomains.com

    No A record given.

    The MX record given from my previous provider is as per wix.com invalid. What to do?
