You can add or update DNS records at any time from the Domains page of your Wix account.

To add or update DNS Records: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Domains > under My Domains, next to the relevant domain, click Manage.

Under Domain Summary, select the Advanced tab > next to DNS Records, click Manage > add or edit your records according to your requirements.

Note: If your domain is connected to your Wix site via Pointing, your domain host is in control of your DNS records.

Hi there, I want to connect my domain name purchased from Hosting Ireland to my wix website. Hosting Ireland have said that they need to know what DNS A record to point the domain at in order for the new wix website to appear as there is already a website active under this domain name. I don't want to change nameservers as I have an email with Hosting Ireland.

I would appreciate if you could let me know how to do this.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

My website is hosted by another company. I have changed the dns records to the wix name, and this website goes to my wix site Glam Hair. This works perfectly.

But i have other websites too (.nl/.net/.co.uk). I have changed also the dns record to wix, and want them to point to the same wix site Glam Hair. but they are not working yet. Is it possible to point more websites to 1 wix site? ( I have changed it 2 days ago).

    Thank you for your answer.

Wix site through the Wix domain manager:

Step 1: Decide which domain address is your primary one (www.domain.com).  The other domain address (www.domain2.com) will be your secondary.
Step 2: Connect your primary domain to Wix.
Step 3: Once you have connected your primary domain to your Wix site, go to Manage Premium > click on the Domains tab > select your secondary domain from the list > Basic .

Next to ‘Wix Site’ click on ‘Change’.

In the pop-up window select ‘To another domain name’, select your primary domain from the drop down menu and click on ‘Save’.

Your domain name is now redirected ! You will be able to see this under the Domain Summary.

Note: Please allow 24 hours for the redirection to propagate to have your secondary domain redirecting to your primary domain. Over the first 24 hours a website will be available under two domain names (secondary and primary ones). After 24 hours when typing in the secondary domain name the address in the browser's address bar will change to your primary domain name.

      Hey angelinamolenaar,

I have configured your domains property to accept incoming connections from our end.

When connecting a domain to your Wix site with our nameservers, the domain stays at your hosting company and connects to the Wix servers NS1.WIX.COM and NS2.WIX.COM.

This method transfers control of your domain records to Wix. These records can be controlled via Domain Manager of your Wix account by you!

This will also allow your mobile site to be automatically associated with your domain!

To connect your domain to our name servers:

Send your domain hosting company the following message:

I have built a site on Wix.com. Please connect my domain to their name servers- NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90) and NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 94.75.229.100).

After sending your message, please allow up to 72 hours for changes to get updated (propagate).

Repeat the process for both of your domains.

I have just checked your settings and can see that Your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect.

....in addition, it would be super helpful to find a phone number on the WIX contact page. Talking to a live customer support person would do wonders.

I'm in the same boat and have emailed support a few times. Might you be able to provide some help? Attached is the image of the accounts listed in my domain settings however the mobile site still isn't showing up. Every time I log in to the mobile site, it's not showing up as published.

    Hi,

I see that your name servers are correctly configured and your website is working as expected.

It may take up to 48 hours to fully propagate.

If you are still viewing another page, it may be because your browser has been keeping an old cache of your website.

Please clear your browser's cache. You can find step by step instructions here .

If you need any further assistance please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Gabriel - Wix
